Chapter 198: Ch 198: The truth behind the Vial
Rika’s back collided with the wall behind her, and the impact knocked the wind out. Her body ached, and she felt frustrated at the way these alphas were handling her body.

“Shit! That hurts. Shuu, are you fine?”

Rika’s first instinct was to check up on her pup. But Shuu did not look as impacted by the collision as Rika felt.

Her would-be kidnapper decided that he did not like Rika’s attitude. He wanted her to be afraid of being kidnapped and broken down.

But unfortunately for him, this was not something new for Rika.

“So, what do you want from me? Is it money? Connections? Sorry to say this, but you are wasting your time and effort going after me like this.”

Rika was sincere when she said these words. But the alpha she told all this to did not appreciate her efforts to tell the truth.

“Shut up! I did not give you permission to open your mouth and speak. So, keep your thoughts to yourself. Or else, we won’t be able to control our hands.”

The alpha in front of Rika threatened her. But Rika did not feel afraid of him or want to run away.

If anything, she felt more bored and tired than before.

“This is not working. Hurry up and bring that drug out. We should show this fool what happens when someone goes against us.”

The second alpha quickly pointed that out before urging the first one to bring the drug out.

Rika was not big into the drug scene. She hated those things for what they did to people. She had even distanced herself from the mafia world because of all this and the abuse that occurred.

The first alpha brought out a small vail before he opened the lid and held it before Rika’s face for her to smell.

“Let’s see how much you can laugh once you are in the middle of your heat. You will please us to help, but we will allow you to suffer. Something is wrong.”

Whatever that drug was, it did not have any effect on Rika. She had a feeling that it was because she could not smell that drug.

But her opponents had no way of knowing it.

“Shit! Why is this drug not working? Did it lose its efficiency? It was working just fine on that omega a while ago.”

The alpha in front of Rika complained as they held the vial to check what was wrong with it.

Rika had the perfect opportunity to fight against these alphas now and decided not to hold back.

Before either alpha could wonder what happened, Rika’s leg collided with their knees, making them fall.

And before either could get up, Rika struck them out.

Once she was safe, Rika decided to call Rocxx. This was still his territory where Rika had been attacked, so she was sure he would want to know what happened.

Coincidently, Rocxx decided to call her before Rika could hit ‘call’ on her phone.

“What a coincidence. I was just about to call you-”

“Don’t move from where you are. Some of my people will come to help you out in a minute, so you don’t need to worry. Get yourself checked out first. I will be there soon.”

Rocxx sounded serious. Rika had not heard him sound like this before. It made her feel a little nervous and hesitant as well.

But she decided not to overthink about it.

Whatever was happening was gang business. Getting involved with it would only cause Rika more trouble than it was worth.

As promised, Rocxx made it to her in record time. But he was not alone.

Zhu Li walked behind him leisurely, which assured Rika that the older alpha was not an ordinary human.

‘Is Zhu Li part of the mafia? No, it doesn’t seem like it. But he’s part of the underworld for sure. Maybe another tiny family? Or even out of the country? Now that I see it, that earring belongs to the triads, right?’

Rika instantly recognised the earring Zhu Li was wearing in his left ear.

That was the only body part he had pierced.

“Oi! Check what this is. Is this the same thing you came here for?”

Rocxx forcefully pulled the small vial out of the unconscious alpha’s hand and threw it toward Zhu Li.

The younger alpha opened the vial, and everyone panicked before looking at Rika.

But Rika was alright. This drug did not affect her.

Zhu Li ran a few tests on the vial before he again sealed it off and nodded at Rocxx.

“Yup! This is the same vial that I told you about. It has finally hit the market; even low-level goons can now get their hands on it. We need to hurry up and cut the supply off.”

Zhu Li commented, and Rocxx let out a sigh of irritation.

Rika did not know what was happening, but she wanted to know what these two were discussing.

“Hey, what is this vial, and what is it used for? These two tried to use it to force an omega in heat to have sex with them. Are you sure this had nothing to do with it?”

Rika asked in a worried voice.

Rocxx was quick to answer her, but the panic in his voice gave everything away.

“No! It is not what you think it is. You don’t need to worry about this vial and what it does…I am not sounding very convincing, am I?”

The man sighed before Zhu Li decided to speak up and tell the truth about this vial and his identity.

Rika had suspected something like this when she saw Rocxx panicking and asking Rika not to move from her place when she called him.

“I see! So, the Chinese underground is involved in this topic and is divided. It makes sense why this drug was banned as well. But what are you going to do now? We cannot allow this to hit the market. Crime rates will spike if we allow that to happen.”
