Middle Child Syndrome - Chapter 215
Chapter 215: Ch 215: A heavy Mistake
Rika tried her best to keep an empty mind and not let this situation get to her. But it was more challenging to do than she expected.
Her two kidnappers were testing her patience with the way they were speaking around her and the gestures they were making.
Every passing second felt like an hour that tortured Rika more and more. She could feel her stress levels rising as well.
‘I took my medicine to suppress my instincts, but I don’t know how long I will be able to hold back. I can feel that omega part of me coming up to ruin everything.’
Rika held back as much as she could. She did not want to freak out and give these people more evidence to lock her behind the cage.
While Rika combated her feelings, the alpha finally got off the call and gave her a beaming look.
“Our boss is finally here. You should be glad, girl! You will finally see the face of the man who will own your life from this day forward.”
The beta assured Rika with a smile. But that smile felt sinister, and Rika wanted to punch it severely.
But despite her grievances, Rika held her temper back and did not say a word. She would not give these people the satisfaction of being pathetic.
The door finally opened, and Rika’s eyes fell on a familiar silhouette behind the supposedly ‘boss.’
Relief slammed into her body like a wave, and Rika’s limbs went loose. It finally felt like she could breathe again once she noticed Damian’s presence behind the boss.
“Boss, you are finally here. Who’s that? A new potential guest? Well, it doesn’t matter. Here, take a look at the person we brought to you.”
The alpha kidnapper was overly cheerful as he ‘presented’ Rika to his master. He was the only one who did not notice the disgust that flashed across their boss’s face once he noticed Rika.
“Sorry, boss! You sent us to get someone else, but we made a mistake. But we will get our target next time. Can you be satisfied with her this time?”
The kidnapper asked with a sheepish smile while waiting for praise to be showered.
But instead of saying anything to them, the boss immediately turned to look at Damian and apologised instead.
“I am so sorry, Mr. Rodric. Looks like my boys made a mistake with this person’s identity. As you can see, she is not the person you are looking for. We will make sure to ‘take care’ of this beta and-”
The boss did not even finish speaking when Damian grabbed his head.
The dominant alpha had a hand big enough to cover the boss’s head and grip it tightly.
‘Wow, Damian’s hands are huge. I wonder how I took his digits when he fingered me…what the hell am I thinking right now? Did the relief make me go stupid?’
Rika bit her lip to bring herself back to the present.
“Whoa! What are you doing? Let our boss go! Guest or not, do you know whom you are messing with here?”
The alpha kidnapper asked, not realising that the real big-shot in the room was Damian, not his boss.
However, his partner was more wise than him, and he instantly recognised Damian Rodric. That was why he held his hand out to ensure that his alpha partner would not do anything stupid while he bowed to the dominant in an apology.
“Sir Rodric, we apologise if we offended you in any way. Can you let go of our boss, please? We need him to pay us in the future. In return, you can request our services for free.”
The beta kidnapper was a good negotiator, but it was too late for him to try to make amends.
Damian had already thrown their unconscious boss aside, and he reached for the kidnappers next.
“What the hell, man! We offered you such a good idea, and you just declined like that? Do you even know who we are-”
The alpha was knocked out as well.
Rika was shocked that Damian had not killed anyone. He was not known to be patient.

“Tsk, it looks like you are not listening. Hey! If you come any closer, then I will shoot the hostage. You better not-”
Rika realised that she had to move next. The second she saw Damina, she hesitated.
The gun aimed at her, but the beta did not look at her. It was easy for Rika to close the distance between them and force the other beta to drop the gun.
Damian broke the beta’s arm once that was out of the way.
He did not kill any of the three, but he did make sure they would not be able to get up anytime soon.
“You did not kill them. Frankly, I don’t know if I should feel shocked or relieved that you came here for me. I-”
Rika did not need to finish her sentence to get Damian to hug her.
The alpha still looked angry, but his anger seemed to melt the longer he held on to Rika.
It also calmed Rika down to have her alpha this close to her after what happened. But she also recovered quicker than Damian, forcing him to let go of her and do his job.
“You don’t like it when I kill, so I did not kill them. Do you want me to kill them?”
Damian asked, and Rika could see the dark desire in his eyes.
Usually, Rika would have stopped Damian from doing what he wanted and talked him out of murder.
But this time, Rika was not in the mood to play the pacifist. These people’s behaviour and the existence of this place had driven her over the edge. She wanted to bury them all but wanted Damian to have his way.
“You can take care of them however you want to as long as you do not do it before me. In the meantime, I will report what happened here to the police and Emily, alright?”
Rika asked, and Damian’s face lit up with a wicked smile.
