Chapter 262: Ch 262: Bullying in daylight
Rika heard a lot of people talking and pointed as she walked out of her mother’s office and headed toward her section.
Unfazed by the chatter, Rika remained steadfast, knowing she was not in the wrong.
Besides, none of this gossip could hurt her, and she did not want to waste unnecessary energy countering these gossipers when there was much more she could do.
When she entered, no one in her section looked at Rika, and she had difficulty knowing what to do and where to sit.
She decided to take the nearest station and waited to be told what to do.
Rika strategically chose this station, aware that it was someone’s favourite and they would ask her to move.
And just as Rika expected, the person who usually sat at this station walked up to Rika with an annoyed expression.
“Excuse me, but this is my station. Would you mind shifting to the one at the back? It would be a better place for someone like you.”
The beta spoke harshly to Rika, and she looked back to see what station she was being pointed toward.
It was a PC hidden in the corner of the room and looked challenging to spot. It was a perfect fit for what Rika wanted, so she changed seats with little fanfare.
Many people who had heard the beta’s words let out a muffled laughter at Rika’s misfortune. But she did not think the same and quickly approached the PC.
There was no chair for her to sit on, and Rika could not see any around the office.
“Excuse me, but can I bring a chair to my workstation?”
Rika asked, but everyone pretended they did not hear her. So, Rika had no choice but to go to the private cubicles to get herself a chair.
Unfortunately, that place was locked, and Rika could not get any chair.
She returned dejected, and Rika picked up her purse and looked for her phone. But her bag was nowhere in sight.
This prank had been cute before, but now it was getting annoying. Her purse was one thing Rika did not want to lose, and her eyes twitched as soon as she noticed that it was gone.
“Excuse me, but have any of you seen my bag? It has my phone and the essentials in it. I put it here before I went to look for a chair.”
Rika asked everyone the question, but once more, they pretended they could not hear Rika’s words.
It was getting too much for Rika, and she could only sigh in irritation before giving everyone an annoyed look.
“This is enough! I have put up with your bullshit up until now, but if you continue like this, then I will make it an issue! There is only so much I can take.”
Rika might not seem like it, but her temper shot up quickly.
She usually did not bother letting it ignite because she knew it would be the best course of action.
But Rika was done being messed up with this time.
She had to stay with these people for about four more weeks and was already fed up with their behaviour.
“Hey, there is no need to yell like this. Just because *you* lost something does not mean you should take your anger out on *us*. We are your superiors, and we can report you for misconduct!”
Amanda stood up first to defend her fellow workers.
Rika felt that Amanda was responsible for much of what was happening to her. The omega looked far too smug for her good.
“I am not trying to disrespect you; I just want my bag back. Is that so much to ask for?”
Rika asked in an annoyed voice, but Amanda acted up again.

“If you lose your bag, then look for it yourself. We all have important stuff to do, so don’t talk to us.”
Everyone turned away from Rika once Natasha was done talking. They all returned to their work, and Rika could only sigh before she started looking around.
When she found it in the washroom, Rika was about to head to security to report her missing bag.
She knew for a fact that this was not her mistake. Rika had never gone to the washroom since entering the office building.
It was clear that these people were trying to bully Rika because of the rumours.
Finally, lunch rolled around, and Rika brought out her lunch. She immediately decided against eating it since the seal looked tampered with.
Besides, she could feel everyone looking at her with anticipation. They were all waiting for Rika to take a bite out of her food.
Rika decided against eating that food, so she quickly got to the cafeteria to get something to eat.
Her situation did not improve even a little bit there.
As soon as Rika reached the stall lady, she saw the expression on that kind and friendly face change to a cold one.
“What can I help you with?”
The lady asked in an irritated voice, not wanting to serve Rika.
“Can I have a packet of crackers? The one behind your back is the one I would like.”
Rika told the lady what she wanted, but the cafeteria lady looked behind her and then back in front.
“Those crackers are not for sale. Choose something else.”
Rika sighed before changing her choice to another packet, but the same result was ensured. When it happened the third time, it became clear that the cafeteria lady had no intention of selling her anything.
‘Alright! This is discrimination! I don’t even want to ask what I did now. I don’t want to deal with this bullshit.’
Rika sighed before she decided to drop out of the line.
But her luck decided to strike at this second, and someone familiar stood beside Rika.
“Hey, are you being bullied by the cafeteria lady? Do you want me to take this situation to my father and have him deal with this? Bullying is not allowed in the Goodwill cooperations.”
Luna Ford stood firm, and her eyes looked at the cafeteria lady with a harsh glare.
