Chapter 283: Ch 283: The assult
‘Finally, I can eliminate this annoyance without anyone interrupting me. This is the best day of my life. I cannot wait to carry out my plan and finally make Miss Emily notice me.’

Noe was excited to carry out her plan. She had already ensured she had all the supplies and contacted the people who would soon ambush her and Rika.

She felt excited to do this, but Rika dashed her plans mid-way.

“Alright, you can stop here now. You don’t need to take me to my dorms. I will be fine if you leave me here.”

Rika assured Noe and asked the omega to stop the car. But Noe continued to drive, almost as if she had not heard Rika speaking.

It made the beta sigh in irritation, but she could see what the female in front of her was thinking.

“Miss Noe, if you do not stop this car now, then I will have no choice but to call the cops and hand you over to them for kidnapping me. I am warning you for the last time. Please stop this car and let me go.”

Rika warned again, and Noe finally turned to look at Rika. But her expression was filled with glee and happiness when she looked at Rika.

“Ha! Do you think you are in control here? I am sorry to inform you that this car has signal jammers here, so you won’t be able to call for help anytime soon. As for where I am taking you? Well, you’ll have to wait and see.”

Noe sounded too full of herself, and it made Rika sign in annoyance.

It was clear that Noe would not take her warning seriously, so Rika had no choice but to see what she had planned.

They drove outside the town and toward the abandoned part of the town. Rika was sure that this was an ambush of some kind.

But Rika was not as worried as she should have been.

She knew that Emily had always asked someone to keep an eye on her so she would know what was happening.

Knowing Emily, it would not be surprising if she had placed a tracker on Rika’s phone, and the second it went offline, Emily would react.

So, it would not be too much to say that help would be coming soon enough.

Noe did not seem to know this; if she did, she did not care much about it. She finally stopped the car once she drove it into the empty mall parking lot.

This place looked familiar to Rika, and she instantly groaned when she saw where she had ended up.

‘Shit! After all these years, I came back here again. How did I not realize where Noe was taking me? Ugh, this is a headache. Should I hide my face and pretend that I am someone else?’

Rika recognized the place Noe had taken to her. This used to be her previous gang’s hideout.

When Rika said that she had done all kinds of wild things to get her family to pay attention to her, she had meant that. One of her attempts included running a gang that slowly grew in size and influence.

Rika had been with the gang for one year and helped them grow. However, she had also disappeared from their gang, leaving them without a leader once she decided to quit.

‘Maybe I should have told someone I would quit before I disappeared on those people. But oh well! It was for their good. Mother did comment that she did not like the look of these parts.’

But what a twist of fate this was. Rika had ended up in these parts again after vowing not to come here. Just thinking about all the troubles Rika caused here made her snicker.

“What are you laughing about? Did you finally lose your mind out of fear because you know you are in trouble? We can still end this if you promise not to come near Miss Emily again. Your presence taints her…what are you doing?”

Rika was half-hearing Noe’s speech and half-paying attention to what was happening around her. A lot had stayed the same ever since she left.

This place looked the same as when she had last been there—three years, and nothing had changed.

“Tsk looks like you have no intention of backing down. Then, I will not hold back either. Let’s see who will break first.”

Noe was being too dramatic now, and Rika finally lost it and laughed.

“Hey, just how many dramas have you seen to sprout off such nonsense? Is this your first time kidnapping someone and holding them hostage? You should have tied me up if you wanted to hold me down.”

Rika’s words sounded like advice, but they only made Noe madder. The omega was red in the face by now, and she seemed to be barely holding back her desire to curse Rika.

“Hey! I am not a serial kidnapper. And you are not being kidnapped; you are being threatened! Why are you standing there all relaxed? Don’t you know that your life is in danger? Don’t you feel threatened by this?”

Noe asked in an angry voice. Her behavior confirmed what she already knew about Noe – she had no idea what she was doing.

“Miss secretary, you are funny! As for being scared about being taken her and my life being in danger? Well, I can assure you that neither of those two is true. Now, why don’t you hand me the keys to the car, and I can head back home-”

Someone charged toward Rika at full speed, but she noticed it in time and dodged the attack.

That was the start of the assault, and another person reached out to grab Rika but failed.

Rika recognized the bodies flailing around her and could tell these people were beginning to realize why her movement looked familiar.

It was fun for Rika to dodge and escape like this, but Noe was getting impatient and decided to join herself.
