Chapter 284: Ch 284: Back in a familiar place
“You fucker! Stay still so that I can hit you! Stop dodging all the time.”

Noe charged toward Rika in an attempt to hit her, and her assault was the only one Rika decided not to dodge but to grab and twist behind her back.

The omega released a startled yelp as Rika suddenly grabbed and held her tightly.

She tried to free herself, but Rika held her tightly with a gleeful look.

“Would you stop trying to flail around now, Miss Noe? If you continue to behave like you have been, I will have no choice but to make sure you won’t be able to move. I am sure you won’t want that to happen, right?”

Rika had a smile on her face when she said that, but the darkness hidden behind her smile was what made Noe feel scared.

She had never felt like this before and doubted she would again. But looking at Rika’s face made Noe feel like she was looking at death.

“I-I…this all happened….it is not my fault. Please forgive me! I promise I will not do something like this again.”

The female omega promised this with a shaking frame. She tried to calm down, but it was of no use. She could not make herself sound as convincing as she needed to.

Rika did not believe the female, so she tightened her grip around Noe’s shoulder with a bright grin.

“Hmm, I don’t feel like believing you at the moment, so I will not let you go free. Do you have anything else you want to say to me before I knock you out?”

Rika asked in a pleasant voice, and Noe shook in her place.

“P-Please, don’t knock me out. I promise I will do as you ask! I will even allow you to tie me up and hand me over to the police when it’s time. Just don’t knock me out.”

The omega begged, and there seemed to be some trauma that Rika would not touch.

“Oi! Someone go and get me ropes and ties to hold this person secure. You better listen to me if you know what is good for you.”

Rika showed her fist to the goons that surrounded her.

None of them had a backbone, and they quickly scattered to give Rika what she asked them for.

‘Hmm, did no one of value decide to remain in this gang once I left it? Or did Noe only contact the underlings because she did not want to associate with the more influential members of the gang?’

Rika felt a little annoyed to see the level of the gang she had helped establish.

She had worked so hard to improve this place and the skill set of these people, only to come back and see this filth she was dealing with.

“Y-You won’t get away with this! Our section leader is out for today, but once he arrives, I assure you that you will get it.”

“Yeah! Our section leader will not even care if you are a guy or a girl! He will deal with you all the same. You better be prepared to get roughed up at his hands.”

The goons promised Rika as they continued to follow her orders.

Rika felt intrigued by this ‘section leader’ thing she was hearing about. There had been nothing like that when she had been in charge, so it was likely a new thing.

But whatever this nonsense was, Rika was sure she would deal with it soon enough.

Just when Rika finished tying up her victim, murmurs began to sound all around her, and people looked excited.

“Our section leader is back!”

“Ha! He will teach a kid like you why you should fear us all! Just wait and see! Our leader will take care of you soon enough.”

“You don’t stand a chance against our section leader!”

People all around Rika began to cheer and call out to their leader.

The more they did this, the more intrigued Rika felt to know who this ‘section leader’ nonsense was. She eagerly looked toward the door to see who would enter, only to be met with a familiar face.

“Oh! It’s you. Would you mind telling me what is going on here? Or do I need to drag the truth out of your mouth?”

Rika asked, looking at the alpha in front of her.

Recognition flashed across the alpha’s eyes, and he quickly let go of his hardened expression and adopted a comical one.

“L-L-Leader, you are back? I need to tell everyone. No wait! I need to confirm if it is you first and not an imposter. But then again, no one else is as short as you are and-”

Rika jabbed the stuttering alpha hard, making him kneel due to the pain.

“Shamal, would you like to repeat what you said one more time? I don’t think I heard you enough the first time.”

Rika asked with a calm look on her face.

The goons looked shaken when their leader quickly stepped back and made a face of understanding and fear.

“No! I did not say anything, leader….by the way, what are you doing here? When you left, we all assumed you would never return.”

The alpha asked, not even noticing the female Rika had been bound by her side and was now holding hostage instead.

“Oh, that! Don’t worry about it. Someone just kidnapped me and brought me here because of some personal reasons. More importantly, didn’t I ask you to take care of this place well if I ever disappear? What the hell is with this ragged down base?”

Rika kept her calm when she looked around the base. She had missed the obvious signs of deterioration, but it no longer escaped her sharp eyes.

The wall’s paint was peeling off, and many equipment around the base were rusted. This place was waiting for a disaster to happen.

“Ah, about that! It was not-”

“Just what the heck is going on here? You! Weren’t you a normal citizen? How do you know this gang? Are you secretly a mafia boss as well? Oh god! I need to protect Alpha Steinz from the likes of you.”
