Chapter 289: Ch 289: Leading Cause of Trouble
‘Oh shit! Oh fuck! What do I do now? I ran into someone troublesome. I don’t need to know this alpha’s name to see that he is dangerous…or maybe I can take advantage of this and seduce this alpha. He looked intimidating enough to help me out.’
Dawn suddenly had the bright idea to use her pheromones to her advantage.
So far, no one has been able to deny her anything because of her facial features and omega nature. She was sure that it would work this time as well.
Dawn let out her pheromones and let them penetrate the air. Once she was sure that she had enough of her scent out, she decided to make a pass at the man in front of her.
“Hello, handsome! Would you mind helping me a little bit? I think I am lost-”
She reached out to touch the grey-eyed alpha’s shoulder and caress it. That way, she could reach even closer to the source of the alpha’s pheromones and get him in a daze.
Her plan was simple and effective, and the alpha she was trying to seduce acted docile.
That mask lasted for a whole minute before the alpha got fed up with Dawn, and he decided to reach out, grab her reaching arm, and twist her wrist.
Pain shot through Dawn’s arm as soon as she felt it get twisted. It hurt, and Dawn cried out in pain as she felt her bones snap. Her pheromones immediately turned from seductive to pain-filled.
“Boss Damian, you captured her! This person is an executive from the gang that was picking a fight with us. Should we hold her hostage and ask the others to surrender?”
One of the grunts asked in a proud voice as he watched Dawn squirm to try and get free.
Dawn’s blood turned cold as soon as she heard the familiar name.
Anyone who had ever interacted with the underworld knew about Damian Rodric, the man known as the devil.
He was deemed a death reaper and someone you needed to avoid at all costs. Even omegas were not safe from this alpha since he had no affection for them or their pheromones.
Damian Rodric was an anomaly and a dominant alpha at the same time. Dawn had screwed up big times, and she did not know if she would even survive after the mistake, she after or not.
“Lock her up and send them a request. If they refuse, then kill her. We don’t need unnecessary baggage to slow us down.”
The alpha spoke these words, but they felt like death sentences in Dawn’s ears. She wanted to breathe, but the chokehold her terror had on her did not let Dawn breathe easier.
She ended up gasping for breath as low-level grunts were tugging her around. Some even made rude gestures toward her, but Dawn did not consider paying attention to them.
By the time Dawn came around and realized that she needed to run, it was too late. The grunts locked up her door and held her captive in that tiny cage.
“Hey! Let me go! Do you have any idea who I am and what I can do? My family is wealthy and will not let you go once I complain about you. I will even go to the media if you don’t stop this!”
Dawn threatened, but one of the grunts decided that he had enough of her bitching, and he shook the cage Dawn was being held captive in.
It made Dawn cry out in fear, and she quickly calmed down.
“Tsk, stop your yapping. Do you think you are the only one with the backing of the media? Do you know how deep in debt your father and those ‘friends’ of yours are? They borrowed a massive sum from one of our subsidiaries to treat their ‘friend with special needs’ right.
Does that ring a bell in your mind?”
Dawn stopped speaking, and a disgusted look spread over her face.
She recalled what these people could be discussing, but Dawn did not like the idea that it was all her fault.
Shamal had told her he had borrowed money for Dawn’s operation, which she wanted to get illegally. The sum was not small, and her father had refused to pay for the small-nose job Dawn wanted.
As a result, she asked Shamal, and the alpha agreed to do this. Dawn continued to ask him for more and more money.
She had never stopped considering where all this money came from, nor had she been interested.
But Dawn lost her temper once she heard the people from this gang talking about Shamal and his inability to pay them back.

Dawn punched that goon in the face and refused to apologize, which caused their feud.
‘Oh well, would you look at the time? It’s time for us all to close now. I hope you have a nice time all alone, my lady. We will see you in the morning.”
The guard, who had been talking to Dawn until now, suddenly looked at his watch before making a face and getting up.
He was one of many guards who decided to leave.
Everyone else started heading out, leaving Dawn alone in her cage. It made her panic, and she had to ask what was happening immediately.
“H-Hey! What is going on here? Are you leaving me alone in this cage in the middle of nowhere? How is that human? Come back and free me.”
Dawn complained, but the lights got cut off at that second, leaving her alone in the dark.
It was a terrifying time for Dawn. She desperately begged for company. Anyone would have done it since all she wanted to do was not to feel alone.
‘Anyone! Come and save me! Shamal, Shuric, Pheone, anyone would do it! I promise I will not be a bitch about anything, and I will pay you back. Just get me out of this nightmare. please.’
