Chapter 300: Ch 300: The one to rely on
“Suzie, we are heading home right now. Cancel any appointments you make. I am also not taking you to the Union Conference this year; I cannot trust you.”
Mark rubbed his forehead to get rid of the headache that was brewing behind his brows.
The evidence of what Mark had seen on his phone made him angry. He could tell that Suzie had violated many laws, but her use of authority and their family name was something that Mark could not forgive her for.
Mark had never been angry at Suzie for such things, but he was sure he was surging because of Rika’s involvement.
Suzie, who had been talking with her consultant about her treatment, suddenly looked at him, startled.
“Huh! Are we heading home? Right now? But why? Did something happen? I don’t remember anything significant happening! And what do you mean we are heading back? I need to get my face done-”
Mark grabbed Suzie by her wrist and dragged her along.
He knew how tight his grip was on Suzie, and it would surely leave marks. But he did not care for now since his anger controlled his mind.
Mark had no intention of stopping and asking Suzie if she felt hurt or not while he dragged her behind himself.
Suzie decided she had had enough of Mark dragging her around and let out her pheromones to let him know.
The sudden sweet smell made Mark stop and look at Suzie annoyedly. But Suzie was not about to let Mark drag her around as he pleased.
“Just what is your problem today, Mark? First, you did not want to come here with me. And after I made you agree to come, you pull stunts like these. What do you want from me?”
Suzie asked as she yanked her hand out of Mark’s grip and rubbed it. Her wrist had turned red, and it hurt.
The omega expected Mark to apologize to her, and then she would make a show about forgiving him and asking him for more favors.
That was how their fight always went, so Suzie did not expect anything else this time either.
However, Mark did not look only angry at her; he looked disappointed in her simultaneously. It took Suzie aback since she had not expected such an expression to grace Mark’s face,
“Suzie, when did you book this appointment? I do not remember you having it a few days ago.”
Mark asked the question, but Suzie did not think much about it.
“Oh, this! I got it yesterday! Since I am a V.I.P, these people have agreed to switch my time slots with someone else. Why is something wrong with all this?”
Suzie asked in a worried voice, but Mark did not answer. Instead, he took out his phone and held his mail open.
Since Mark had remailed the mail to himself, Suzie could not tell who the original sender was, but she could tell what the content of the mail was.
“Why did you ask someone else to hack Rika’s accounts to check her schedule? Did you also make sure to switch all your sloths with Rika’s? Just what were you trying to do, Suzie?”
Mark sounded disappointed, and it made Suzie squirm when she stood there. She did not know how to answer him, but she did know that she felt angry at the accusations (even if they were true)
“Tsk, this is not fair! How can you trust mail more than me, brother? And even if I did switch my appointments with Rika’s, why does that matter? It’s not like I did anything you disapproved of in the first place.
You have never cared about such things, so why start now?”
Suzie asked, now equally as pissed as Mark was about being held back. She did not want to miss the sloths she had worked hard to regain.
But Mark only shook his head at Suzie’s foolishness before he pulled her hand toward himself and dragged her out of the saloon.
“We are going home now. You are grounded, and I will not take you to the Union Conference. That will be the best punishment I can give you.”
Mark sounded adamant about his decision, but it made Suzie pale and curse him out.
“You cannot do that! Mark! Think about my reputation and such! How dare you…egh, let me go, you bastard! I will tell you about this, the father and mother! You will have to answer to her and-”

Suzie continued complaining, but Mark no longer cared about what she had to say.
He was disappointed by Suzie and even betrayed by her. As his adoration mask was slowly unveiled, Mark could not help but crumble.
‘Just where did things go this wrong? Suzie used to be a sweet and innocent child who could not do anything wrong. That was who my younger sister was supposed to be. So, why? Why did she turn into such a person who continued to torment others?’
Mark knew who and why this happened. It was all his fault for neglecting Rika all the time and letting Suzie see that it was right to do that to her older sister as well.
On the other hand, Suzie had her share of problems and suddenly felt like she was in trouble.
Mark looked too angry to take her to the Union Conference tomorrow, so she would have to find another way to get there.
However, Suzie needed someone who would agree to take her on such short notice.
All of her friends were in prohibition because of that drug case, and Suzie had no close acquaintances she could ask-
‘No, there is one person who would agree to take me out. But the problem is, how much can I trust Rocxx Steinz to keep his mouth shut and not cause me any problems? He might ask for something more than I am willing to give him.’
Suzie knew it was risky, but she had no choice but to accept Rocxx’s help this time. He was her only ticket to the Union Conference.
