Chapter 307: Ch 307: They are after ‘You’
“Suzie, listen carefully! We can no longer fight as we were before. Otherwise, both of us might die here at the hands of these kidnappers. I don’t know about you, but I want to live. So, I want to suggest a thing to you. If you are willing to listen to me, nod your head.”
Rika asked her younger sister the question, and Suzie quickly nodded at her suggestion, understanding that her agreement was crucial to this plan.
No matter how rude and selfish Suzie was, even she would prioritize her life over anything else.
So, when Rika suggested a way for her to escape this situation unharmed, even Suzie would be a fool not to take her suggestion seriously.
Once Suzie nodded to show that she would cooperate, Rika let go of her mouth and grabbed Suzie’s wrist to make her release pheromones.
“Suzie, mark me thoroughly so anyone can smell your scent when they come near me. We need to fool these people into thinking that I am you. That way, you can make your way back safely.”
Rika suggested, and Suzie looked disgusted at having to smell Mark Rika.
The younger omega had scent-marked her family before, but Rika had never been a part of that.
So, it was Rika’s first time being scent-marked by Suzie.
Omega pheromones filled Rika’s senses when Suzie let go of her inhibitors. They made Rika’s knees buckle, and she tried her hardest to stop the vomit that was threatening to choke her.
‘Shit! I was sure that I had gotten over my trauma of omega scents. Looks like I am not completely over it.’
Rika’s body had stopped breathing for a few seconds when those thick pheromones surrounded her.
Thankfully, Rika broke through the haze covering her senses, and she could breathe more quickly.
But every few minutes, Rika had to remind herself that she needed to breathe and that she was alright! It was how tricky this situation was for her currently.
“Oi! Are you alright? You are not going to mess this up, right? I mean, you need to be careful out there. I won’t be able to defend myself if these people come after me.’
Suzie spoke about her uselessness with a proud look on her face.
Rika shook her head in disbelief, but things quickly made sense in her mind as well. Suzie was brought up under the influence of their grandmother. It was a given that she did not know any self-defense.
Her grandmother had always said that omegas were supposed to be soft and that it was an alpha’s duty to protect them from the world.
As such, Suzie followed what her grandmother wanted her to know and did not learn any self-defense.
“Suzie, you don’t need to do anything but get back and tell anyone what is happening here. I am sure Mark or Mother will listen to you. If no one else does, just go to Damian and Emily! They will hear you out at the very least.”
Rika promised Suzie before she stood up on shaky legs.
“I will head out first and act as a bait. It would be best if you came out after spraying this scent blocker on you. That way, these people will not be able to find you. Come out after a minute or two has passed.”
Rika suggested the omega before she clutched the door and walked out.
…
Suzie had many questions she still wanted to ask Rika, but she no longer had time.
All she could do was clutch the scent-blocking bottle Rika had left behind before making a determined face.
“Tsk, as if I am going to do anything you told me to do. It will be better for me if you get kidnapped and we never see you again.”
Suzie’s face had no trace of guilt when she spoke, but she did feel a little hesitant to let Rika die at the hands of these kidnappers.
A few minutes passed, and Suzie sprayed herself with scent blockers before leaving the restroom.
Suzie might be ignorant about fighting, but her senses were sharper than an average human’s.

She could tell when she was being followed, and someone was walking behind her. It must be the kidnappers who had mistaken Suzie for Rika and come to take care of her.
Once she realized that, Suzie picked up speed and she dialed Mark’s number.
Rika was not a fool and would have already alerted everyone about what was happening. But that did not mean Suzie was not going to do the same.
This way, Mark would be forced to choose which side he wanted to take. Suzie knew her brother well. He would never abandon her like this twice in one day.
“You brat! Sit still so that we can take care of you-”
The kidnapper got impatient and lunged at Suzie. But she was not going to be taken out that easily.
Training or not, she was still part of the Goodwill family, and her sharp reflexes helped her dodge the kidnapper’s incoming attack.
Suzie was startled, and she ended up spraying the scent blocker spray toward her target.
The sudden burst of cold disoriented the man, and he blinked a few times to clear the haze that had settled over his mind.
Suzie took advantage of this, hitting the man on his knees. She had heard from her grandmother that the knee was a person’s weak spot.
As expected, the man went down quite quickly, and Suzie stood over his unconscious body with a triumphant expression of pride on her face.
“Tsk, this is what you get for underestimating me. You should have known better than to come after someone from the Goodwill family.”
Suzie commented, just in time for Mark to make the corner cut and grab her shoulder with a sickened look.
“Suzie, what happened? Are you alright? You did not get hurt or anything, right? Your message made my heart go cold in fear. Where is Rika? You were both together, right?”
