Chapter 310: Ch 310: You are Safe!
Suzie had always been desirable, a fact Rika was intimately familiar with after spending so much time at Suzie’s side.

It was natural for Rika to be acquainted with the looks Suzie got from other people.

A look of desire was nothing new for Suzie, and Rika should not have felt much from it. But the gaze on her body made Rika shudder in disgust.

It felt slimy, and Rika wanted to take a bath immediately to wash off the feeling of those eyes looking at her.

Rika’s shudder did not go unnoticed by the people in front of her, and the alpha who made that comment about her suddenly looked pissed.

“You fucker! How dare you give me that look just because I called out your true nature! It looks like I’ll have to demonstrate to you what is happening so you understand that I am serious! Come here, you little shit-”

The rowdy alpha reached out to grab Rika, but she could dodge his attempts and keep him out of his hold.

Rika could do it, but she was sure Suzie was interested in something other than formal training. Suzie would need help to deal with skilled kidnappers.

‘Wow, I never thought I would ever feel sorry for Suzie. But I can tell that this must get so tiring after a while. Being popular is not easy at all.’

Rika might have felt sympathy for Suzie, but that did not mean she hated her any less. She was in this mess because of Suzie in the first place.

“Sit still! Why are you so dodgy today? I heard that you were easy to kidnap, so I also chose the perfect time to come after you. Don’t make me angrier than I already am.”

The man wanted, but Rika continued to dodge him.

Finally, the man decided that he could not take anymore, and he stilled before bringing out a pheromone distributor to spray Rika with.

The smell was irritating, and it did make Rika feel even sicker. But it did not have the same effect on her as on other omegas.

Rika could continue fighting, and she even threw the dustbin at her kidnapper.

“Wait! You-! How did you-”

The kidnapper looked shocked to see Rika unharmed and fighting without a care in the world, even after being sprayed by the pheromone suppressor.

It was usually enough to knock out even the most insensitive omegas. So why was-

“You overthink. You should go to sleep now. I don’t want to deal with you anymore!”

Rika warned before she left everyone else stunned.

“Anyone else wants to take me on? I am ready to fight you all if necessary.”

Rika promised, but her arrogance turned out to be her downfall.

She underestimated these people and their preparations.

But in Rika’s defense, how did she know that these kidnappers had chloroform that would knock her out?

It was one thing to combat the pheromone suppressants, but it was another thing to be knocked unconscious with anesthesia strong enough to keep her down.

“Rika-! Hey, what are you-”

Mark’s words were the last thing Rika heard before she was out like a light.

“Rika-! Hey, what are you-”

Mark turned the corner and watched Rika crumble into the kidnapper’s arms. Mark felt angry, and it made him lose his rationality.

Had Mark been more aware of his surroundings, he would not have charged blindly toward the criminals, but he was prone to losing his rational thinking powers.

That was why he ended up staggered with a strong pheromone spray, and his stunned state left the criminals with enough time to run away.

“Hey, wait-! Come back here-”

By the time Mark returned to himself, it was already too late. He could only stand there with his arm outstretched and his body struggling to move even a single inch.

The stillness of the hallway hit Mark much later than he expected. He also realized that the event security team had yet to respond.

There was only one plausible explanation for what happened – the security was involved with this kidnapping, and no evidence of what happened would be found even after the investigation.

“Well, I guess it’s a good thing that I am not abiding by the city laws. I will be investigating this case under-ground style. How dare these kidnappers try to get away with Rika?”

Even Mark was not foolish enough to believe that Rika had been their initial target. That meant that Rika covered for Suzie, and this happened.

He needed to find Suzie and ensure her safety before Mark could concentrate and devote all his effort to finding Rika.

This time, he would do what he needed to do. Mark would make up for his past mistakes by saving Rika this time.

Mark was so lost in self-pity that he overlooked it when the others joined him.

“Brother, are you alright? Hey, come back to earth! Mark-”

Suzie called out to her elder brother as soon as she turned the corner. She felt a little disturbed when Mark looked at her but did not respond.

So, she touched his shoulder, and Mark finally snapped out of it.

He immediately grabbed Suzie’s shoulder and pulled her into a hug.

“You are fine! Are you hurt? Did anything happen to you? I was so worried about you.”

Mark asked in quick succession. He needed to know that one of his sisters had survived unharmed.

“I’m fine! I got saved in time by Damian. But what are you doing here? You should have returned and found me if you were here alone. Now come, let’s return.”

Suzie asked and tugged Mark toward the conference hallway. But Mark refused to move even a single inch.

Instead, he placed his hand on Suzie’s and looked her in the eyes.

“Suzie, head back for now. I need to help Rika out, so I will be late. There is no point in us both missing the party, right?”
