Chapter 315: Ch 315: Take good care of her
Zhu Li did his best to make his uncle happy. It almost looked as if the older man had not heard Zhu Li as he continued to exert pressure on the younger.
But finally, the pressure lessened, and Zhu Li was let go.
The younger dominant sighed in relief before giving his uncle the side-eye. But the older alpha ignored him and turned toward Rika instead.
“You can use my nephew for anything as much as you want. If you do not mind running away, you can enjoy all the facilities you dream of. I hope you will think favorably of me and join us.”
Rika could have made a thousand comments about her current position, but she felt she should keep her mouth shut and let the alpha in front of her tell her what she should do.
That disturbing smile she got back sent shivers down her spine.
Zhu Li must have seen her discomfort because he quickly touched Rika’s shoulder and helped her.
“Don’t worry, uncle! I will take care of Rika. I told you that I had a crush on someone, right? She was the one I was talking about.”
Zhu Li stood before Rika to hide her from his uncle’s gaze. That did nothing to reassure Rika that she was safe, but the older dominant narrowed his eyes in warning before his expression went lax.
“Sure, do what you want to. As long as I get the desired results, the method does not matter.”
The boss waved his hands, and Zhu Li let out the relieved sigh he was holding.
Rika was finally taken out of the boss’s room, and she relaxed. Even Zhu Li looked better once he had more freedom to move around and do what he wanted.
As soon as he was able to, the older man turned toward Rika and grabbed her shoulder tightly.
“You are alright, right, Rika? My uncle did not make a move on you or something, right? If he did, then you need to tell me right now. I will hide you away so that he won’t be able to find you.”
Zhu Li promised, but Rika doubted there was any place where she could hide away from the older dominant alpha.
His presence had been overwhelming, and Rika did not even remember the last time she had felt such a majestic presence.
Maybe her grandfather once made Rika feel this fearful and respectful, but it had been long since she last met him.
“No, it’s okay! I don’t think there is a point in running away from your uncle. He made me feel like a bug he could squish with a finger flick. I would rather not risk angering such a man if possible.”
Rika was quick to judge and watched as Zhu Li took a deep breath from the corner of her eyes.
He might have offered to help here but felt nervous going against his uncle so openly.
“Oh well, there is not much we can do here. Come, and I will show you the room you will be using. You will also have to get chipped temporarily so we can always know where you are.”
Zhi Li did not look guilty or concerned when he talked about chipping Rika.
Most mafia members were chipped as a sign of loyalty. It was also insurance that the recruits would not run away or give away their secrets.
Rika had never been chipped before, so she felt a little nervous.
But Zhu Li’s steady gaze made Rika calm down. She knew she could do it. She just needed to concentrate and get chipped! It was not that hard.
…
“Any progress on your side? I tried following the trails left behind by the kidnappers, but I could not find anything. The GPS tracker stopped working a while back, as well. What should we do now? Should I involve the local police?”
Emily looked down at the series of reports in front of her. She was willing to try every method she knew to secure Rika’s location.
But so far, the only thing Emily could figure out was a general location about Rika’s whereabouts.
No person or camera had captured the car in which the kidnappers drove away, so progress was slow.

Crash
Damian broke down the T.V. that showed an empty footage by punching it hard. He looked more upset than Emily was at what happened.
Andrew Tweten was the calmest member of the group, but that was just a facade to hide his true feelings of anger and disappointment.
He felt like a culprit, which caused this to happen. He was Rika’s date, but he left her alone and let her go out with Suzie.
But since he was the second oldest of the group, he needed to calm down and remain rational.
Especially since Mark was anything but rational right now.
The older man was out of his mind. He was even more upset than Damian and kept calling on different people to cooperate.
“Shit! This is another dead end. We are not progressing during our investigations, and the people refuse to cooperate. The person behind this kidnapping seemed to be a big shot.”
Mark put his phone down with a tired sigh as he clutched his head in pain. He did not know what else to do now that all the other doors were closing on him.
Just when it seemed all hope was lost, the door opened, and Natasha Goodwill entered the room with Suzie in toe.
Suzie’s expression was conflicted; she even flinched when her mother looked at her from the corner of her eye.
“Alright, Suzie. You can head home with your father now. I will need some time here to look for Rika. Be careful, and don’t cause me any trouble this time, alright? You must be careful if you don’t want to die here.”
The older female asked her youngest daughter before turning her head away and not even looking at the younger.
