Chapter 320: Ch 320: Where did you hide her?
“That old man is so crafty! I am sure he has something planned that he does not want to tell us about, so he asked us to do this mission for him. There is no way he would waste my talent on something this insignificant!
Rika, are you seeing all this bullshit I have to deal with? I am not cut out for it!”
Zhu Li complained for the third time in half an hour as he ran after the dogs the family was raising.
These dogs were to be trained as specialized dogs that would assist in combat and were highly loyal to the family.
Ren Li, the boss of this place, had personally hand-picked these dogs and raised them into loyal subordinates.
As a result, these dogs listened to no one but Ren Li. They even ignore Zhu Li’s attempts to gain their affection.
Rika was not having as much trouble as Zhu Li because of her neutral scent and all the blockers she had used.
These dogs did not see her as an intruder and tried to sniff her before giving up and ignoring her.
“Would you like to use a scent blocker? It might make you feel better if you use one. The dogs will also feel much safer with you if they can’t smell the alpha scent on you.”
Rika held out the scent blocker toward Zhu Li, but he made an offended expression while glaring at Rika.
“Keep that thing away from me. I know that you mean well, Rika. But one’s scent means a lot for an alpha and an omega. It is slightly insulting to ask them to mask their scent like this.”
Zhu Li commented, and Rika paused.
She had never been told that masking one’s scent could be offensive.
Mark and others told Rika to do so many times. By now, Rika had lost count but had never felt offended when asked to do that.
‘But then again, none of the scents I blocked were my own until I turned. As for Mark, he only covered the smell when he was with Suzie, and things got bad. Otherwise, he never tried to suppress himself, right?’
“I never thought that it was offensive. Maybe it is because I have a sister who’s sensitive to pheromones. It was common in our household to mute our scents for her sake…. not that I cannot do that anyway. I am a beta, so no pheromones or anything.”
Rika assured Zhu Li, and he was a little untensed.
“Yeah! Sorry! You are right! Your frame and overall feel make me forget you have a beta’s constitution. You feel like an omega to me, so I keep treating you that way.”
Zhu Li’s comment surprised Rika. But then again, Rika was an omega now, so it should not have been so weird for a dominant alpha to sense her and tell her that.
But Rika felt unsafe knowing that people now saw her as an omega.
It was fine earlier; Rika had been a beta, so these things did not matter to her. But the more she turned omega, the more sensitive she became to these topics.
“Hey! On that note! When do you think I will be able to head home? I want to return soon since I must rejoin my office…and university! Shit! I have so much to catch up on!”
The more Rika remembered things she needed to do, the more she felt her desire to return ebb away.
But she knew that she could not procrastinate forever.
“Who knows how long you will have to be here? Uncle can change his mind in a second or never. The only thing you can keep doing is keep asking if you can head back home now or not.”
Zhu Li wanted before the dogs dragged him behind.
He no longer had time to think about Rika when he had dogs to train.
Rika shook her head as she watched the older alpha being dragged all around by the dogs he was training (playing with).
‘I wonder if Shuu will get jealous once he smells these foreign dogs on me! My pup can be jealous of the weirdest things sometimes!’
Thinking of Shuu brought a slight smile to Rika’s face. She could not wait to go back home and enjoy time with Shuu. But before that, she needed to find a way to escape this place and get the tracker out.

“Master Ren Li! It is a pleasure meeting you…is what I would like to say. But we both know that I am here for business. Let me not beat around the bush – where is she?”
Natasha Goodwill stood at the entrance of Ren Li’s office, and her face showed no fear.
The younger female alpha stood her ground, and her eyes looked directly at Ren Li.
Anyone who worked in the mafia industry knew of him. After all, he was one of the few dominant alphas worldwide.
It would have been better for Natasha to let another dominant alpha (Damian) take the lead, but she did not feel comfortable letting a kid fight an adult’s battle.
Especially more so when it was for Rika’s safety.
Ren Li’s face did not falter when he looked back at Natasha Goodwill. Instead, his smile became a little more brilliant.
“Ah! Alpha Goodwill! What a surprise to see you here! Please, come inside and have a seat! I will hear you and everyone else over a cup of tea! How does Asama Tea sound? I can get black or green as well if you like. Coffee is also acceptable, right?”
The old man snapped his finger, and his subordinate requested the order. It was a polite gesture to show the other side that he was friendly and wanted to extend his hand toward them.
But Emily lost her temper pretty quickly at such a rude gesture. She slammed her hands on the table, and her blazing eyes looked at the old man in front of her with disdain.
