“Zhu Li, block your nose and try to escape this smoke. It’s artificial pheromones. They will mess you up if you inhale them.”

Rika held Zhu Li back before he could make more contact with the smoke than necessary.

The alpha quickly stepped back when he remembered what artificial pheromones were and what they could do.

“Shit! Isn’t this a bio-weapon? How did a regular beta get their hands on this? Only people in the medical field should be able to…ah, got it!”

Zhu Li was quick on uptakes, so he realized how this beta had gotten her hands on such a weapon.

But the question now was how to deal with this mess. The pheromones would cause too much trouble for the alpha if he tried to go through them.

“Hey, calm down! Here, take this if you start feeling like you will lose control. I generally keep some suppressants on hand for such occasions. As for our stalker? I will take care of her.”

Rika assured Zhu Li, and he finally remembered that Rika was also a beta. It would be alright for her to go through this pheromone-filled mist and not take much damage.

Zhu Li complained, but relief shone clearly in his eyes. Rika nodded at him before she dashed off into the pheromone-filled smoke.

These pheromones did not feel like any particular type, making everyone sick when they smelled them.

Rika was lucky since his body could not feel the full effect of these pheromones. It made traveling through them much easier for her.

She could spot her attacker through these smokey pheromones, and Rika did not alert her when she jumped the beta.

“Hey! What the-”

The beta yelled in surprise as soon as Rika’s hands warped around her throat, and she squeezed enough to make the beta feel dizzy.

Once she had the beta where she wanted her, Rika wasted no time pushing her down and securing her with the restraints the stalker had carried herself.

“Hey! What the hell is going on here? Did you just travel through this smoke? Don’t you feel sick and tired! There should be no way you should have been able to get to me.”

The beta sounded far too cocky for Rika’s liking. This must be the first time the beta had been beaten like this.

“I’m lucky that I am a beta as well. Otherwise, who knew what this stuff would have made me feel right? Would you mind telling the police what happened here so they could join the fun, too?”

Rika asked with a slight smile on her face.

The beta bit her lip and almost let a curse out when she noticed the smoke dissipating.

Zhu Li ran toward Rika as soon as the smoke was out. But he did not need to worry because Rika already had her attacker secured.

“It’s done! You need not worry anymore. Zhu Li, can you call the police? I think we can hand over the victim.”

Rika assured, but Zhu Li had a doubtful look on his face.

“Are you sure you want me to call the police? Won’t the…oh, I understand. I will call the ‘police’ then.”

When Rika asked Zhi Li to call the police, she did not mean the actual police. She had meant for him to call the area’s peacekeepers.

They were the actual police who were aligned with the ruling turf, and they were extremely loyal.

It would be better for Rika to hand this criminal over to her family rather than the normal police who had been bribed.

Of course, the beta Rika was holding down did not know this. The beta smiled in relief when she realized she would be handed over to the police.

She was certain she would be out from behind the bars in fifteen minutes flat.

Rika questioned with a straight face, but her stalker refused to answer. She was loyal to the core and would maintain that loyalty until she died.

Seeing her like this made Rika sigh in regret.

Loyal people were always a treat to find, but not like this. This female was risking dying if it meant taking her secret to the grave and keeping her master’s name safe.

“Oi! Do you think you will be fine if you remain quiet? That is a nice thought but impractical to think about. Your master does not even care about you if he sent you after me without doing any research.”

Rika goated the female into reacting.

Just as Rika expected, her words finally got a reaction out of the female she was holding hostage.

“Ha! That is what you think! But my master does not need to pay attention to me for me to be loyal to him.”

The female assured. She seemed to believe her words firmly since she refused to name her master.

It had been endearing before, but now it was getting annoying. Rika did not want to start using force, but it seemed the only way to get this female to confess.

“I see! So, you are one of the types that believe in everything their master says and take it as an order. We’ll have to use your body to find your master instead.”

Rika ran her hand up and down the female’s body in an almost suggestive manner, and the female beta in front of her became enraged immediately.

“You sick fucker! Is humiliating me not enough for your twisted mind that you have to do this as well? I knew people in the mafia had no morals left! You are the proof of that!”
