Chapter 346: Ch 346: The hounds
A tense silence descended the clearing as soon as the female finished her rant. She looked incredibly proud of what she had said to Rika.

But Rika only had a bored expression, saying she had not heard a word that had been said this whole time.

“Are you done yapping now? If so, then we should get started. We are short on time, and I must return home before it’s too late. I don’t like to make my land-lady worry about me.”

Rika grabbed the female beta’s face before pulling it forward and looking her right in the eye.

It made the beta nervous since she did not know what Rika planned to do to her. The anticipation of what would happen was worse than the actual thing happened.

“Don’t worry! It will hurt a lot, but you will get used to it. After all, this is what you chose, so you should be prepared to face the consequences of your actions.”

The nails that dug into the beta’s face made it bleed. Blood coated Rika’s nails as well, but she ignored it.

Zhu Li looked at the scene and decided to interfere before Rika lost her cool and did something that would make her sad.

“Rika, that is enough. You should leave the rest for the police to handle. I am sure they will take care of the situation just fine!”

Zhu Li assured Rika, and she sighed before standing up and looking annoyed at the person before her.

“Fine! I will let this go for now. But don’t expect me to be this merciful next time. I do not want to be your friend, so don’t expect this from stood up, and the beta sighed in relief.

She looked even happier to see the police there.

‘Soon, I will be free again, and then I will show this bitch what happens-‘

The police took one look at the beta stalker before one of them hit her in the stomach. The impact ended up knocking the wind out of the stalker’s body, and she felt a shock go through her body.

“Don’t worry, boss! We will get the stalker to speak. You will have nothing to complain about to Alpha Goodwill!”

The boss of the police force assured Rika and Zhu Li.

Somehow, the news of Rika’s presence had spread across the office like wildfire, and it did not take long for other branches to learn about it.

Most people still did not know who she was or what she represented, but all the important people (and those who liked to keep up with the gossip and trends) knew about Rika’s presence.

“Sure! Do what you want to get her to babble. I don’t mind if you use external help, either. Rodric gang knows several ways to get people to open their mouths.”

Rika assured, and the beta stalker flinched.

‘A sweet and harmless omega! Isn’t that what my client said? This is nowhere in the description I got! I was scammed! I want a refund!’

The beta stalker finally realized she had made a mistake coming after Rika like this. Unfortunately, it was too late by this point. All the damage had already been done, and there was nothing anyone could do about it.

She was likely going to die of captivation, and that was not fine. She needed to tell her master just how wrong he was.

“Miss, you are coming with me. Don’t try to break free, or you won’t make it through your term! However, if you are cooperative hen, we can think about releasing you early!”

The man, grabbing hold of the beta stalker, assured her with a smile.

It felt like a death sentence for her, and the stalker was not ready to get going. But she no longer had a choice.

“Ah, that feels good! We won’t have to worry about having stalkers for a while…well, more than my regular ones. We need to wait for good news now.”

Rika made a happy face as she relaxed her body.

Now that the stalker had been caught and handed over, Rika did not doubt that she would learn who was targeting her.

“Are you sure it will be fine? That beta looked like she had a powerful backer behind her. These things could not have been easy for her to get alone.”

Zhu Li picked up the pheromone bomb the beta had thrown at him. It had no sign to indicate where it was made or who it belonged to.

Whosoever had given it to the beta was meticulous.

The alpha was sure he would find no other evidence on this bombshell.

“You don’t need to worry about the hounds. They are loyal to their mother and will do what they can to accomplish their mission once it is given to them. It is not easy to bribe them either.”

There had been no one who had successfully been able to bribe her mother’s hounds. Those who felt tempted were killed to keep the sanctity of the pack.

It was a weird place but helpful at times. But it only listened to Natasha Goodwill. The alpha also did not like using her hounds unless it was a world-ending matter.

“Hmm, I should not poke my nose any deeper into this hole, or I will regret it. I will listen to my senses and stop now.”

Zhu Li was quick to back down. His expression looked complicated, and Rika decided not to confuse him further.

“Don’t think much about it. Now, you should head back home. The real danger has been dealt with already, and I doubt I will be attacked again today.”

Rika assured Zhu Li, but he flinched. He was about to protest when Rika gave him an actual reason to head back.

“Emily and Damian might be around if they heard the news of what happened to me and how you kidnapped me. So, if you want to live, you better head back now.”

That made Zhu Li not question anything, and he left quickly.
