Chapter 350: Ch 350: Didn’t I warn you?
It happened in a moment, so Emily had no time to react. On second, Rika was enjoying the company and pheromones the alpha pair was letting out, and the next, she collapsed while clutching her throat.

Emily’s breath hitched in her throat as soon as she noticed Rika’s body collapsing. She had not expected this to happen.

“Rika, are you alright? Hey! Can you hear me? Rika!”

Emily called out in shock as she rushed toward the omega Damian clutched. She wanted to touch Rika, but Damian’s angry growl pushed her back.

The dominant alpha had been shocked by what happened, and his frustration showed clearly on his face.

This was not supposed to happen. Rika was not supposed to collapse like this when she was with the pair.

“I will call the doctor right now. Dami, don’t move and keep Rika like this until we know what’s wrong with her. I-It will be fine!”

Emily was unsure if she was trying to convince Damian or herself that everything would be fine soon. She could feel her breath coming out in chokes, and it felt painful.

Dialing the numbers on her phone felt impossible, but Emily managed somehow. But more was needed.

Just simply calling the doctor was not enough! Emily needed to get someone to pick the doctor up and deliver her to Emily before it was too late.

Thankfully, her subordinates were quick and volunteered to bring the doctor to her. It gave Emily enough room to breathe again.

It took the doctor half an hour to get to the alpha pair. There was too much traffic, and it was impossible to be faster than this. But that half an hour felt like an eternity to Emily. She could only sit there, her hands bowed in front of her face and praying to the gods that her lover was alright.

“Tsk, that bloody traffic almost killed me. Now, let me see my patient! I asked you both to take good care of her, so how did things come to this?”

The beta doctor was just as sassy as Emily remembered her to be. But this time, Emily was in no mood to be teased.

Her growl was enough warning for the doctor to keep herself in check, and the old lady caught on early.

“Fine! Don’t give me that look. I am working as fast as I can to save your mate. You! Hands off the girl! Let me see how she is behaving right now.”

The old lady reached out to touch Rika before Damian swatted her hand away.

She had not been clawed, but it had been a close thing.

The doctor narrowed her eyes as she looked at the pair before carefully reaching out the next time.

Because she had muted her scent to the point where not even a dominant could smell her, she could touch Rika this time and take a sample of her body.

“Give me ten minutes while I analyze these results. Meanwhile, give that poor child some room to breathe! Smothering her in pheromones is not a good thing.”

The doctor advises, and Emily’s throat builds up another growl of frustration.

“You said that alpha pheromones are good for Rika. Why should we hold back with her if that’s the case?”

Emily asked with a frustrated voice.

Logically, she could understand the doctor, but her alpha side did not understand essential human rationality. It hated that Emily had to be away from her omega and be like this with her.

“Tsk, you are asking me something like this when you already know the answer? It is because you are overdosing on her with the pheromones. You have not given her a proper bite, so her body cannot adjust to this much pheromone shock quickly.

Is this not your first time drenching her in your pheromones? It is sticking to her skin!”

The doctor shuddered as she looked at the pair in front of her. The woman refused to answer, but her silence was enough for the doctor to know what had happened.

“Oh well! I won’t tell you how to live your life, but you might want to be careful! Too much of anything is not good for you, including medicine. You never know when it can turn to poison.”

The doctor was right. Of course, Emily knew that the doctor was right and that nothing she could do nothing about it. But that did not mean that she had to like it.

Her instincts kept rejecting the fact that Rika was like this because she had been unable to control her pheromones.

“Ah, the results are here. Get your partner to let go of the patient. I need space if you want her to be fine.”

The doctor warned Emily, and she felt an itch in her heart. She knew what to do, but her body refused to cooperate when she told it to move.

‘It will be fine!’

Emily cheered herself up before she reached for Rika.

Damian growled and tried to grab Emily’s wrist, but she was a little faster than him and managed to avoid him.

Her focus remained on Damian and the female he had in his grip.

“Dami, it is fine! You need to let Rika down so that we can treat her. You don’t want Rika to be sick any longer, right?”

Emily tried to reason with Damian, but he seemed frustrated and let out protest growls, which made Emily nervous about going up against him.

But she still knew that she could not back down. She needed to make the best of her opportunity.

“It is fine! You need to get Rika down if you want her to improve.”

Emily tried again, but she could feel how reluctant Damian was.

He was like a big child trying to hold on to his favorite toy and not wanting to let go of it. It felt adorable…. under any other circumstances.

But Rika was not a toy, and Emily would not allow Damian to play with her life.

“Fine! You brought it upon yourself.”
