“Alpha Lawlock, what can I help you with? If you have anything to say to my partner, tell me.”

The alpha in front of Emphemia Lawlock smiled back at her. But she could tell that she was not welcome here.

And why would she be? She had caused too much trouble for the triads when they proposed a business to her and her fraction. It was both side’s fault that their relationships had soured.

‘But that does not matter. I am sure that the person this madman brought along is my granddaughter. She could be no one else when she looked like a carbon picture of Edna.’

Emphemia Lawlock clenched her fist, but she quickly calmed her temper as well. Showing how upset she was would not help her in any way.

“I am not here to talk to your partner, but my granddaughter. Now, quickly give me space to take her back home. There is much I need to talk to her.”

Emphemia Lawlock had avoided looking at Rika’s face all this time because she feared what she would see there.

With Edna dead, the older alpha had no reason to chase after a dream. She wanted to rest and devote her time to her family.

But looking at Rika was like seeing Edna back in the day. It was enchanting and ghosting at the same time.

“Emphemia Lawlock, I don’t know what you are planning, but it would be best if you don’t approach that girl. Haven’t you caused enough damage in her life already? Were you that angry at Edna-”

“I can never be angry at Edna! You knew how I felt about her-”

Never mention helping. You actively tried to hurt her and help your other granddaughter push Rika out, right? Did you think it would make Rika turn to you if she had no one else?”

Ren Li asked, and Alpha Lawlock felt her mouth dry.

She needed to respond and say that this was all a lie, but looking back at it, she knew she was why Rika’s life went down the drain.

“Keep your mouth quiet. You have no idea what happened and what my family is like. Keep your nose out of my business.”

“Sure! And you should keep your nose out of your granddaughter’s business. That reminds me! Isn’t it time for you to kick the bucket already? You must be nearing the end of your life span.

Also, keep an eye on that other granddaughter brat of yours. She’s been seen going to places with a less-than-stellar reputation. She might be bit and marked one of these days by an unknown alpha. What will you do now.”

Ren Li was having fun poking fun at Alpha Lawlock. It was not often that he got to do this.

He would not have stopped if he had not suddenly remembered that he had a partner to care for.

But as soon as Ren turned around to look at Rika, he discovered she was nowhere to be seen. Rika had left him alone and decided to wander off around the ship.

It was not safe for Rika to be moving around in her condition.

Suzie stood firm, holding her head high. She refused to show her weakness in front of these people.

An alpha stepped forward and looked run-down but had a nice face.

Suzie promised, and the alpha grinned at her. Suddenly, Suzie had a bad feeling about what was going to happen.

“I see! I see! Kids, you have it on record, right? She said all this, and she walked in here on her own. Good! Now, we can get things started. You all can stop filming now. As for you! If you are serious about your claim, then smell this.”

The alpha gave Suzie a small pouch, and she took a small sniff of it.

Heat instantly engulfed her body and Suzie felt like it was taking over her brain.
