Chapter 363: Ch 363: Only Friend I want
“Young Miss, how did the meeting go? Did you make any new friends? What about the next Alpha Goodwill and Alpha Rodric? Did you get along well with them?”
The nanny asked with an excited tone.
She wanted to know which side her young miss preferred so that she could prepare and have her young miss start an early friendship with her future partner.
It was all in the nanny’s head, but who could tell a disillusioned woman that her fantasies were not about to turn into reality?
“Those two were… interesting. But they did not interest me. Mark Goodwill spent all the time with his younger sister, and Damian Rodric scares me. I do not want to meet either anytime soon.”
Emily’s nanny made a disappointed noise at her recollection. It was clear that the nanny believed this to be Emily’s fault.
Even when not, the nanny always believed things to be Emily’s fault.
“Young miss, you should not say that. You need to be a sweaty and considerable individual who will develop into a blooming omega and make all these alphas fall for you. Who will you do all that with your current attitude?”
The nanny asked with a startled expression on her face.
“Nanny, why does it matter if I dominate all the other alphas with my charm rather than my skill? I am sure I can crush them all with my power once I am older-”
The nanny swung on her feet when she heard Emily speaking those words.
“Oh, dear god! What happened to my sweet miss, who would always listen to me? Why has she turned out to be like this.”
It was a dramatic display, and the only reason Emily did not stop her nanny was because she found it funny how her nanny pretended almost to fall down but always caught herself.
She was a fantastic actor, but unfortunately, everyone knew that.
“Miss, you are still young, so you don’t understand how hard of a hold attrition has on a person. It can be used as a weapon if you want to, and you can make even the toughest people kneel if you know what you are doing.”
The nanny assured her with a knowing look on her face. Her expression made Emily feel awkward and quickly looked away from the nanny.
She did not want to cause much trouble for herself or the nanny, but Emily knew she could never walk down the path her nanny had laid down for her.
“Ah, by the way! I did meet someone there with whom I could get along. You know, the Goodwill family has a middle child, right? Rika is so cool and-”
For the first time, Emily saw a look on her nanny’s face, which she had never seen before. She would later come to know that it had been disgust and contempt. But that young child had no way of knowing that.
“Ah, yes! That defect! Miss, you don’t need to pay any attention to it. That child is not good to be around for a budding omega like this.”
The nanny seemed confident when she said that. For the first time in forever, Emily felt rage bubbling inside her heart and let out a threatening growl.
It was an alpha-like gesture, and the nanny quickly grew to look concerned.
“Oh my! Oh no! This is bad! Miss, you cannot do that! You cannot let yourself be present as an alpha! My plans! My beautiful plans that I made to make you the queen of high society-!”
The nanny cried out, but that was when Emily stopped caring for her.
If the nanny had no intention of accepting Emily for who she was, then she did not need her nanny either. They could go their separate ways and never meet again, which would be best for both sides.
…
After that disastrous first meeting, Emily did not expect the Goodwill family to agree to another meet-up.
Especially a meetup with Damian Rodric, who is, who is involved in it.
The older kid had messed with Rika Goodwill, and even Emily had been ready to jump in and break their fight. It had all been started by Damian anyway, so it was his fault.
Naturally, that also meant that Damian should have been the one to stand in front of Rika and apologize. But the reality turned out to be different than the pair expected.

“Rika, we discussed about this, right? Hurry up and say what we practiced.”
Mark Goodwill stood behind his sister, encouraging her to bow before Damian.
Rika looked reluctant, and Emily could see the annoyance in her eyes. She did not want to give Damian the satisfaction of seeing her beg, but her bother had other ideas for her, and he ended up standing guard behind her.
With him standing guard, Rika had no choice but to bow her head and let out a half-felt apology.
Damian looked annoyed, but Emily felt he was more annoyed at Mark forcing Rika than at Rika’s half-apology.
“Now that since we have all cleared out the air, I am sure we can be friends. Also, I don’t think you guys met my youngest sister last time because she cried. So, I would like to introduce her to you. Suzie, you can come inside now.”
Mark called out to his youngest sister, and the three-year-old entered the room.
The blond girl immediately looked at Emily and Damian before making her expression.
“Hello! I am Suzie! It’s nice to meet you! I will allow you both to be my friends since you look pretty. Be honored!”
Suzie held herself high, and Emily did not like her attitude. She quickly looked around, only to notice that Damian was not even paying attention to the young girl.
He was too busy trying to make Rika look at him and respond to his provocation. Emily also wanted to join them, and she did as soon as she reached the pair.
Suzie’s introduction was left hanging there.
