Chapter 374: Ch 374: Found her whereabouts
“Mother, what are you doing here? Didn’t you tell me that you were too busy to be here, and that was why you would not be heading out for the next few days last week?”

Natasha looked as surprised to see her mother-in-law here as her son did to see his grandmother.

But her surprise was met with cold indifference from the older woman, who dismissed Natasha with a single glance.

She brought her eyes back to the man in front of him before the old alpha sighed and stood up.

“I will do what I can, but I have not had good luck. Whosoever those people were, they were either too meticulous and escaped our clutches, or we have no record of their existence. Anyway, I don’t like where this is going for her.”

The older woman only said that much and then left.

She did not glance at Natasha or her son, who entered the room after her.

It infuriated Natasha to be treated with such disdain, but she refused to let it affect her. She steeled herself and entered the room, ready to confront Ren Li’s irritating presence.

She had been calm until now, but as soon as her eyes met that rough-looking face, Natasha snapped and reached out to grab the man in front of her and shake him.

“You! This is all your fault! Why would you do this to me? You are the reason Rika is missing, right? You better have news about her…or else…”

Natasha huffed as she kept shaking the man in front of her. She was terrified of where Rika was and what was happening to her. However, she did not expect Ren Li to take all her criticism and allow her to do whatever she wanted.

Once Natasha had calmed down enough, the dominant alpha broke her grip on his collar and he sat down.

“I know that you are emotional and you want to find your daughter, but killing me would not resolve anything. But you are in luck! We found some traces that might belong to Rika near mainland China. I will be heading out there to check what happened soon. You are welcome to join me…or maybe don’t join me. That will be for the better.”

The older man replied to Natasha. He sounded severe when he advised her to stay back. But Natasha was stubborn and far too heavy-headed to take this advice.

She would not sit back and allow this man to do whatever he wanted to her. She was not going to be led astray any longer.

“Mainland China? I see! Then, I will head out there and look for my daughter. I will turn the whole nation upside down to find my daughter-”

Ren Li rubbed his head in a pained way before he looked at the woman in front of her.

“I won’t call it a good idea to go out and shake a whole country up to find Rika. Now, before you get angry at me, just listen to me! The only reason I say this is because I don’t want those kidnappers to go even further into hiding.

If your people start reaching into China, Rika might be put into real trouble that could have been avoided otherwise.

I can’t stop you from making any decisions you don’t want to, but I can advise you on keeping your daughter safe…for now.”

Ren Li’s words made a lot of sense. Natasha knew that he had a point and that she needed to calm down and reason about it. But she did not want to reason.

She had thrown all her rationality out the window as soon as she had gotten the news of what happened to Rika.

“Alpha Goodwill, it will be a good idea for your side not to do anything and to focus on your other daughter, Suzie. I heard that she is making many questionable decisions in her life. At this rate, she might end up destroying her life instead.”

Ren Li knew what had happened to Suzie. That was the only thing that made sense in Natasha’s mind, and it caused her to become enraged.

“You-! What do you know about Suzie and what happened to her? Are you that asshole-”

Mark snapped at the dominant alpha. His desire to protect Suzie and to get justice for her was greater than Natasha’s was at this moment.

Ren Li let out a strained laugh at the accusations against him. When he stopped laughing, Natasha and Mark looked ready to take him down.

“Don’t worry! I don’t have a taste for people that young. If anything, Rika was more my type, but even she was too young for me. And I do have someone I was in love with, and I’m not looking for a substitute.

As for your youngest, let’s say she made some bad decisions. You should cut her off as soon as you can.”

Ren Li advised, and Natasha finally felt pissed off to no longer be able to hear anymore.

“Alpha Ren Li, you better keep me informed about Rika and what happened to her. I know your tactic, and I will go away now. But do not think that this is the end of our conversation.”

Natasha felt pissed off, but she also knew that she was not going to get a straight answer here. Going to either Damian or Emily to get her answers would be better.

For now, those two were her only hope of discovering any information about Rika and what happened to her.

“Mom! You can’t be serious…ugh, fine! But about Suzie, can’t we just force him to spit out the identity-”

Natasha grabbed Mark’s arm to drag him out. She had seen people like Ren Li before, so she knew this man would die before he would give Natasha or anyone else any information he held.

It felt…frustrating. Natasha felt like everyone and everything in her life was playing with her. But she could not give up here.

She was not going to give up on Rika again.
