Chapter 378: Ch 378: Cannot allow you to get sick
Rika had no idea how long she had been locked up in that room. She only knew she was allowed outside when the sky was completely dark. She was not let out alone, as a guard was posted around her to ensure she would not run for it.
‘As if I have anywhere to run in my current condition. I need to bid my time and make sure I know where I am heading before I can decide anything.’
Rika followed her captives as they finally shifted her from the shipyard to a place with an actual bed and human company.
And then she was locked behind closed doors once more.
Rika did not mind this rudeness if it told her where she was and what happened. More importantly, she wanted to know who she was so that she had an actual answer to the glaring headaches she was frequently getting.
Every time her hand hovered over her neck, Rika felt that a mark was supposed to be there, but it was missing.
Her stomach was also causing Rika troubles, and she could not keep the food down.
“You are in luck! Master says he wants to meet with you tonight to discuss something. Take this bread and medicine here and ensure you are fine when you meet our master.”
The beta that threw Rika in the room handed her some bread and a packet of pills. There was no water for Rika to make eating the dry bread easier.
But she was hungry enough not to think about such small stuff. Before she knew it, the bread had disappeared from her stomach, and Rika popped a pill in her mouth to ensure she felt alright.
As soon as that pill settled in Rika’s stomach, it returned with the food she had eaten.
Her stomach did not agree with her choice of food, and Rika felt a sharp pain stabbing her chest.
She coughed in her hands, only to see blood when she brought it in front of her.
‘Did I get hurt when I was kidnapped? Huh, why do I know that I got kidnapped? Fuck! My brain hurts.’
Rika closed her eyes to get some rest. She wanted to make sure she would be fine for her afternoon meeting.
But by the time Rika started to feel better and hungry again. It was already time for her to head out and meet the master.
Rika did not feel ready for a meeting, but what choice did she have here? She was not about to defy someone and then face the consequences of her actions.
“We are here. Master is behind this door. Make sure you are polite to our master. We don’t take rudeness well here.”
The man who led Rika here assured her of this before he opened the door to the office for her to enter.
Rika glared at the man before she stepped inside the room. It was a small space with a lot of dust and smelly air, which made Rika feel suffocated, but she held her breath and entered.
“This place is something I built by using my sweat and tears. Even now, when I have more than enough money to move out, I cannot get rid of it. Humans are such sentimental creatures, won’t you agree, Rika Goodwill?”
Rika’s eyes moved to look at the speaking figure. The man who had brought her this far quickly backed away until he was out of the door and running out.
He also slammed the door locked behind Lisa so she could not leave the place.
“I don’t know what to say about your hospitality. As you might know, I don’t remember much of what happened. But I assume that you knew me if you decided to kidnap me this openly.”
Rika decided to show that she was not afraid.
As for her memory loss? What was even the point of hiding it when everyone could instantly guess what happened to her?
It was better to come out and use it to her advantage.
The man in front of Rika looked slightly stunned by her open nature before he closed his eyes and let out a brief smile.
“You are right. I have known about you since I heard about what you did to our operation. I wanted to ask you many questions, but then you went ahead and lost your memory. I feel annoyed just thinking about it.”
The man did not sound disappointed, but Rika felt the air becoming heavy. This man was not to be trifled with.

“Cut to the chase! What do you want from me? I don’t have enough time and patience to deal with your games like this.”
Rika asked outright. She felt impatient, and her stomach was beginning to hurt.
Her instincts were telling her that she was in a critical condition and she needed to get to the doctor. It worsened her mood, and she could not be her usual self.
She was unsure how much the man before her knew about her, but he must know enough to realize Rika’s impatience.
“My men told me that you were usually willing to listen to others out. It seems like there was a mistake in intel. Or is there something that is making you impatient?”
The boss asked as he lit up his cigar.
It made the air in the room smell even worse, and Rika could not control her body.
She immediately dashed for the bathroom to empty her stomach and found it on the first try. She clutched the basin hard as food and medicinal mixture came up her stomach and into the washbasin.
Blood was also mixed in there, but Rika was not paying attention. His priority was to keep her safe.
“Tsk, it looks like you are truly sick. I will have a doctor check you out. We cannot allow a hostage as precious as you to get hurt on our watch.”
The boss promised, but Rika felt like it was already too late.
