Chapter 388: Ch 388: Give the Hotel to me
“Miss, are you ready to head out now? The manager sent me to fetch you. I am afraid she will not be able to make it this time, but she entrusted all her authority to me for this trip.”

The man in front of Rika was a buffed beta. He looked twice Rika’s size (which was not hard) and looked ready to snap her in two.

His serious face had no hint of a smile, and his seriousness made most people flinch and step away from him. Rika was no different, but she held her fear in so that she would not look intimidated.

In simpler words, this man looked intimidating, which was why he was chosen for this job.

“The manager was not able to make it? It must have been one hell of an emergence that held her back.”

Rika commented, even though he already knew this ’emergency.’

The beta did not blink at Rika’s sarcastic words and maintained his posture.

His no-nonsense attitude gave Rika fresh pause since it meant she would not have to deal with overly chatty people who wanted to become close to her.

Most of the alphas who worked here had already tried to make a pass or two at her. And Rika felt awkward with all this attention.

She was sure she was not used to this, but she did not want to make assumptions in case she was wrong.

“Come with me. Which restaurant do you want to head toward?”

The guard asked.

Rika had no idea where she wanted to go. She looked outside and found a simple chain restaurant sign in the distance.

“Let’s go there! I want something from there. And try to find a vegan option for me.”

Rika was not vegan but wanted to make things difficult for her guard and spend as much time outside as possible.

The guard looked as unenthusiastic as he walked behind Rika to guard her. This man was not letting his guard down.

“Secretary, get my car ready. I will check up on my guest now. I am sure that she must have learned to behave by now.

If not, then we will have to teach her some manners. I don’t want to damage it just because she’s merchandise, but that does not mean she gets to do whatever she wants.”

The boss looked down at the huge report he had gotten about Rika and her behavior at the hotel.

Most of it detailed how rough she had been and how much she made the staff hate her. It annoyed the boss, but he also took deep breaths to calm himself down. He needed to exercise patience here, or he would fall into his rage.

He was about to leave when he heard the loud voices from outside. Most of his people seemed to be panicking as they ran around.

“What the hell is going on here?”

The boss asked as he looked at one of the workers.

The small-time thug immediately looked at him with huge eyes that seemed to have seen horrors beyond their years.

“B-Boss, Damian Rodric is here. We did not hear him coming here, but he’s just…. outside, waiting for you. What should we do now?”

The grunt asked as he shook where he stood.

His words made the boss curious as well.

Damian Rodric was a name everyone in their industry knew well. They also knew they needed to avoid this man, or their lives would end.

Under such circumstances, the boss could not have failed to realize something was wrong. What could a man as high-profile as him want with a low-level triad boss?

‘Anyway, this is a good opportunity. Since that man came to look for me, not vice versa, I could leverage it over him and take advantage of what was happening. Maybe he wants one of the slaves from the auction house!

Yeah! That must be it! There is a rumor that this man is courting a beta, and his relationship with his alpha partner is well-known, but he must be looking for an omega to satisfy his desires.

The alpha sounded confident, making his subordinate look less hesitant about trusting this man.

For now, the black-haired alpha was calm as he sat across from the small-time boss. But his presence made the boss feel nervous. It felt like a demon was looking at him from across the table.

But the boss still kept his cool. He was also an alpha and would not bend under pressure, no matter what kind of pressure he had to endure.

“So, Alpha Rodric, what brings you here? I was not aware that you were a fan of our services. What can I help you with?”

The boss asked this almost hesitantly, but the more he spoke, the more confident he became.

The younger alpha was also paying special attention to him now, which made the boss feel powerful. He was sure he would be able to gain more attention from this man.

“I want access to your hotel.”

That was all Damian said, and it confused the boss. He was not sure what this man meant by these words.

‘Access to my hotel? What does that even mean? Does he want to stay in our suites? Or does this man want more than that? I cannot figure out what to do here?’
