Chapter 394: Ch 394: Doctor’s concern
As much as Rika wanted to enjoy herself and lose herself in the pleasure, Damian and Emily proved that she could not do that by dragging her toward the doctor’s office. Before Rika knew it, she was sitting in front of the old lady and being checked over.

“Hmm, let me see! Do you know what this is? What about this?”

The old doctor pointed toward everyday household items, which Rika quickly named. She could remember most of the basic stuff without breaking a sweat.

“Hmm, it looks like your brain was under too much stress and decided to forget the people in your life. I assume you can’t remember even a single thing about a single person?”

The doctor asked as she noted something on her pad.

It made Rika curious, and she also wanted to see the pad. But the doctor didn’t even play along with Rika and showed that she had only dodged some lines on top of the paper.

“This condition is most likely temporary and caused by too much stress. I would advise you not to stress her out too much and let her pay around as she wants. There is no need to force Rika into anything she doesn’t want to, alright?”

The doctor stressed, causing the pair sitting beside them to look a little sheepish.

“Oi! I am being serious here. Head injuries like these are delicate matters that need to be taken care of and handled delicately. A small irregularity can cause this damage to become permanent. So, make sure you keep an eye on her condition.

Other than that, you are free to do anything together as you please. Your body has recovered from the ordeal, but I will need to run a few more tests to be sure. You can return home now.”

The doctor assured, and Rika quickly stood up to walk out.

She felt…a little bit off that the doctor had not addressed her miscarriage, but it was also likely that the doctor did not know about it yet.

The doctor looked at the alpha pair before signaling Rika to leave.

“Rika, will you wait for us outside? We need to talk to the doctor privately…or maybe you don’t feel comfortable leaving us alone just yet! Hmm, what should we do?”

Emily asked with an almost teasing, severe look. She looked conflicted about what she wanted Rika to do.

It made Rika sigh and follow what the doctor wanted her to do.

“It’s okay! You can take your time talking to the doctor. I will wait outside for you.”

Rika assured the pair before quickly opening the door and stepping outside. As soon as she did, she took a deep breath and sighed in relief.

She had not realized how tense she had been standing inside, but her body had stiffened up, and the tension was finally beginning to melt.

Rika sat in the chair and could feel people in the corridor looking at her curiously.

Before Rika could return to ignoring these people, one overconfident alpha approached her and posed.

“Hey, miss! I saw that you were sitting all alone in here. Do you mind if I join you? I promise I am not a creep! I just want to be your friend.”

That’s what the man said with a small grin on his face. But looking at his face was enough to make Rika feel worse.

She turned her face away, clearly showing that she had no interest in talking to this man, but he did not get the hint (and if he did, he ignored it).

“Come on! Don’t be like this, sister! I promised you already that I am not a creep. If you ignore me like that, I might take offense to it and come after you. You don’t want me to be mad at you, right?”

The man asked with an angry expression. He was almost gritting his teeth in anger at being ignored like this.

But Rika continued not paying him attention, and the man could no longer handle it.

“What is your problem? Do you think you are too high and mighty for me? I will have you know that you are just a common bitch. I can score anywhere-”

“Then why don’t you go and score some bitches yourself? We don’t need someone like you in here. It causes me a headache just listening to you yap about yourself.”

Emily placed a hand on the alpha’s shoulder, and he stiffened before quickly realizing that Rika had a partner.

Well, two partners, to be exact.

Damian had not said anything to the man, but his pheromones made what he thought obvious.

“U-Ugh looks like I should not be here any longer. I am sorry! It looks like I was drunk and made a mistake. I should take my leave now.”

The man quickly tried to escape, but Damian did not want to let him go.

Whatever these two had heard in the doctor’s office had caused them to look pissed, and Rika had a feeling that this poor alpha would suffer because of this.

But anyway, it was not her fault, so she would not bother knowing what had happened.

“Emily, let’s head home now. We’ve spent too much time out here. I want to get back to resting and sleeping. My body feels a lot more tired than I thought.”

Rika swore she did not say these words to help the unknown alpha out. She just did not want unnecessary blood on Damian and Emily’s hands.

The pair looked unhappy with Rika’s decision to head back home but said nothing. They quickly let the unknown alpha go, and it was time to head home.

“Are you sure you are feeling fine, Rika? We can have another doctor look at you if you feel something is off. You don’t have to hold back your pain like this.”

Emily asked in a low voice, looking Rika up and down with concern.

But Rika just waved that concern off.
