Chapter 402: Ch 402: Locked Inside
“It looks like you are still as bad with food as ever. Rika, who would be sane enough to handle your picky habits? No wonder the staff never liked you.”

Everyone froze as soon as they heard Suzie speak up.

They all looked at her with startled expressions, and Emily even seethed at those words. But Suzie noticed nothing of this (or if she did, she ignored it completely) and looked perfectly entitled.

“I heard that you do not have memories about your past, but that does not mean you can just change who you are and show up here. You were never really liked by anyone here before.

On the other hand, I was always the darling of these people. Oh! But I spoke too much. I am not in a mood these days, and I also have mood swings. I hope you will forgive me.”

Suzie asked in a mildly irritated voice. She was unsure what to say, but she knew she did not feel happy.

She hated how Damian and Emily cared for Rika while her useless mate was nowhere to be seen.

Suzie did not want her mate anywhere near her, but her instincts had a different mind. They wanted her to seek her mate out and grab hold of him. They wanted her to take a bite out of her mate and mark him back.

It was baffling how she could not control her emotions and thoughts, but she still wanted to be with her mate.

She hated him…but her instincts forced her to like her mate.

‘Fuck this shit! I feel so irritated now, and I can’t even explain why. I don’t want to say all this to Rika, but my mouth would not stop speaking.’

Suzie felt irritated but also entitled to all the love and attention Rika was getting. She was sure it should be her in Rika’s place, but she could not make these people turn toward her.

“Excuse me! I need to head to the washroom for a bit.”

Rika finally understood that Suzie wanted her gone, and she quickly headed down the hallway.

Despite having no memories (or faking it), she seemed to know where to go. It made Suzie suspicious about Rika and whether she was faking her condition.

“Excuse me, but I will also head up to my room. I have eaten more than enough for now.”

Suzie confessed before quickly returning to her room…. or that was what she wanted everyone to believe.

But in reality, Suzie was not heading to her room. Instead, she headed to the washroom Rika had entered.

She knew Rika realized her presence when she tensed up and turned around.

“What do you want from me? I doubt that you came to find me just because you wanted to talk with me.”

Rika asked in a tired voice as she looked behind her in the mirror.

Suzie remained quiet, but she slowly approached Rika and touched her shoulder.

“You know this is not your place, and you should not be here, right? Then, what are you doing here? Head back home and don’t come near my family again! This is all I want from you.”

Suzie reminded Rika that the older knew what she should do.

“Don’t worry! It was not my idea to come here in the first place. My instincts told me we did not have a good relationship, and I have no desire to change that either. I will head out now.”

Rika finished washing her hands before she headed out. But Suzie decided to sow a seed of distrust in Rika’s mind.

“Did your partners tell you that you were a burden on them? The only reason those two are taking care of you is because you are my older sister. They both liked me and proposed to me.

But I decided to have mercy on you and lend them to you. Enjoy their company while it lasts.”

Suzie spoke in a teasing manner. She wanted to make Rika doubt her relationship with the alpha pair and have them among each other.

Unfortunately for her, Rika had no interest in all this.

“Ah, I see! I will ask them about this then. But from what I saw today, it did not look like either of them was interested in you. Are you sure the interest and misunderstanding is not from your side?”

Rika asked, and Suzie felt beyond pissed.

“It is not like that! Why would I be jealous-!”

“I don’t know. And frankly speaking, I don’t care either. I will be heading out now. I hope you overcome your misunderstanding and realize there is more to this world than just trying to ruin my life.”

Rika placed a hand on Suzie’s shoulder, but the younger quickly shrugged it off angrily.

“I am not jealous of you. If you think that I am, then you are mistaken about it. I will prove to you that I-!”

When Suzie calmed down, she realized she was alone in the room. Rika had not even bothered to stay behind and listen to her rant.

“That annoying bitch! I will kill her! I will get her killed for sure, and then I will be the only one my family pays attention to.”

Suzie seethed, but she also felt lonely in the bathroom. She wanted someone to come and comfort her, but no one did.

The loneliness made her bite mark ache even more. Her mate was not here, making Suzie feel alone and tired. All she wanted to do was close her eyes and not wake up again for some time.

But the bathroom was the worst place to have such impulses.

“Fuck my mate and fuck my life! I will stay in my room until Rika goes away. It’s not like someone will miss me anyway. They are all too busy with Rika to pay attention to me anyway…”

Suzie tried to comfort herself, but the more she tried to do that, the worse she felt about her situation.

She finally tried to leave the bathroom, only to realize that someone had locked her inside.
