Chapter 408: Ch 408: The marriage is fixed
‘That is so fucked up! I did not think I would meet this useless alpha once more. What is he doing here now?’

Suzie felt a stab of irritation and fear engulf her mind. Unsure what to do, she knew that she needed to get rid of this man if she wanted to maintain her image.

“Please head back! I want to have nothing to do with you. What happened between us was a mistake, and I don’t need you to take responsibility for it.

Instead, I would prefer you to forget about me and never contact me again.”

Suzie laid out her reasons and demands in front of her alpha. She warned him to stay in his lane and not cross it, no matter what.

She knewc she had gotten her message across just fine, but the alpha just grinned at her and decided not to acknowledge her words.

“Alpha Goodwill, I am sure you know how problematic it is for an alpha to have their bonded mate out of sight. It was established even if this was a bond that no one wanted. So, there is nothing either I or your daughter can do about it.

Won’t it be best to have us both marry so that we can stabilize our lives?”

The sneaky alpha asked as he continued to push the matriarch to decide in his favor.

Suzie felt panicked as soon as she heard those words. She suddenly realized that this man was a cunning bitch who was here to grab her fortune. That was all he wanted from Suzie.

He had no affection for her but would do his best to cling to her and pretend he wanted Suzie to be happy with him.

‘This bitch! I want to scratch his face so badly! I am sure he won’t dare show his face to me once I make it unrecognizable to everyone.’

Suzie’s hands itched to become claws that would ruin this man’s life. But she held her tendencies back for now and decided to pretend to be an innocent kid in front of her mother.

“Mother, that is not true! You know that I don’t need an alpha. Rather, I want to spend my life as a widower with no husband. It would be better for our branding, right?”

Suzie asked as she looked at her ‘partner’ with glaring eyes.

The alpha smiled back at her, but his valid target was the Alpha of this house.

“Alpha Goodwill, before you decide, just think to yourself. Would you be able to live your life if you were away from your partner? Then, what gives you the right to force me away from my mate?”

Henry asked forcefully.

Now that his first tactic was not working, he was willing to pull all breaks on his acting and take it up a notch. He refused to show any weakness in front of these people.

The more he showed his determination, the more he would get to Natasha Goodwill.

“Tsk, you are asking for the difference? Of course, there is a big difference here! First, my father and mother love each other, while you and Suzie are strangers. Second, my sister does not want anything to do with you.

So, pack your bags and get going from here.”

Mark was on Suzie’s side, and he quickly spoke up.

He looked at his mother for an answer, but the older alpha looked slightly lost in thought.

Finally, the oldest omega in the room decided to take a stance and speak up.

“You promise you love our Suzie and want what is best for her? How can we trust that you are speaking the truth? You could be trying to lip-service us, so we trust you enough to give you our daughter.”

The omega asked, and Henry quickly looked at him and smiled.

“I assure you that it is not the case. If it were to be the case, I would have filed a lawsuit against you for keeping my mate away from me. You know how these cases go! I would have won as well.

But I don’t want that! I just want to be with your daughter and marry her. Please allow me to do that. Suzie, you want to marry me as well, right?”

Something about how this man spoke did not sit right with anyone in this family.

Suzie had gone pale white at the question and seemed to be having difficulty forming words she wanted to say.

But in the end, she managed to stutter out a barely audible ‘yes’ that marked the end of this questioning session.

Mark looked pissed but scared of Suzie’s answer as well.

He looked at Suzie for an answer, but the female was already looking at the side with an ashamed look.

Clearly, she had not wanted to agree, but something had forced her to change her mind.

“See! Even Suzie wants to get married to me. I would like to see this ceremony be over as soon as possible. I assume your family can arrange for all of this sometime next month?”

Henry asked in a cheeky voice.

Now that he had Suzie’s support, he knew that he had won. There was nothing that Natasha Goodwill could say that would hinder his progress.

“Suzie, are you serious? Do you want to marry this man? But why? After what he did-”

Mark asked as he grabbed his sister’s shoulder. But when he looked at her face, it was pale and sweaty. Suzie seemed to be having difficulty breathing, and Mark suddenly let go of her.

“I…this is…. I will see you later. I need to head to the bathroom and empty my stomach. I am not feeling too well right now.”

As soon as Suzie’s face turned white, Mark understood why she had agreed to this marriage. She needed her partner’s support now that she was pregnant.

His pheromones were the most important factor in stabilizing this pregnancy and ensuring that Suzie did not face any complications.
