Chapter 424: Ch 424: Good News and Bad News
Things were getting more and more messy by the second. At this rate, Rika was sure that someone would snap and that no one could handle this situation anymore. So, before that happened, she needed to do something.

‘I don’t care that this wedding gets ruined, but that does not mean I will allow my reputation to be smeared by these words!’

Rika felt this burning in her heart. And since she had this feeling, how could her two alphas not have it, too?

“Are you slandering our mate?”

“I would be careful about opening my mouth if I were you. I don’t like how you are eying my mate.”

Both Emily and Damian flanked Rika’s side, causing people to gasp out.

The silence finally caused people to realize what was being said, and all their breaths hitched.

Rika wanted to facepalm at her alphas causing such a mess. However, the fact that this made people look at her in a new light made her rethink her decision.

“Rika, you…. don’t mind being found out? No way! When did you get marked? Why did you not tell us-”

Mark tried to reach Rika and grab her hand, but Damian and Emily blocked him.

“Hands off our omega.”

Damian’s pressure caused Mark to step back, but he would not. His eyes told everyone that he would make a mess of things.

“This is enough! We all should focus on Suzie’s situation first. This wedding is on hold for now. All the guests! Please go back to your seats for now. We will inform you about anything that might happen next.”

Rika took charge of the situation faster than anyone could think about.

Her words inspired people to speak up, but the fact that Rika was the daughter of Goodwill and her secret identity caused people to snap their mouths shut and not say anything anymore.

“Did you not hear Rika? Get moving now.”

No one wanted to contrast Emily’s words, so they quickly ran out of the room.

Emily smirked as she watched people quickly make their way away from the hallway.

“Fuck! This all turned out to be a disaster. I always thought that Suzie would cause trouble because of her attitude, but I never thought-”

Natasha Goodwill rubbed her forehead as she saw the bride and the groom both being knocked out.

The pregnant omega who caused this all tried to flee, but Mark caught her and decided to detain her for the time being.

“You are coming with us for now! I want you to tell me everything you know about this alpha.”

Everyone ended up in the hospital, and the mood turned grim.

Natasha was incredibly distraught after what had happened. She could only sigh in regret over what had happened to her once-perfect family.

“Stop drinking this much! Did you finally decide to drown yourself in your sorrow after what happened to your crush? I always told you that Suzie Goodwill was bad for you, but you never listened. It is your fault for getting like this.”

Emily looked down at her cousin, who was drinking away bottle after bottle, and he heard what had happened to Suzie.

“I gave her up because I thought she would be happy. This was not what I had in mind for her. She was supposed to be the happiest person on this planet. I-”

Emily let out a sigh as she looked at her cousin. The man had finally improved after the news of Suzie’s wedding, and now this had happened.

“Ugh, that’s why you dragged yourself to this bar and decided to drink your sorrow away? Have you thought about approaching someone else and giving them a try? It might make you feel better.

Who knows, you might forget about Suzie Goodwill even.”

Emily spoke softly as she looked at her cousin. Rocxx finally sighed, now too intoxicated to know what he was doing.

“You want me to forget Suzie? Fine! I will forget about her. Just wait and watch! I will get over her somehow. Just wait and watch.”

Emily looked at her cousin, who contradicted his words as he swayed on his feet. She doubted he knew what was happening, making her feel bad for this person.

But she also knew that her cousin would be refined now if he were being like this.

After all, no matter how tough Rocxx pretended to be, he was fragile; he needed someone to keep him company.

He had been pinning after Suzie because she felt the stability in him that he had never had during his childhood. It was an obsession with no backbone and, thus, no staying power.

“Be careful, Rocxx. And remember to have fun. I am on your side, so if you ever need help, you know where you need to come.”

Emily promised, and Rocxx gave her one final look before he disappeared. With this, Emily had freed one more person of Suzie’s influence.

“It’s a good thing that Rocxx never got together with Suzie. This would have hurt more if he fell in love with her. Ah, I should head out now. Rika must be waiting for me.”

Emily had been sent back home to sleep, but she did not want to be away from Rika for even a second more than she had to.

That’s why she would go back and sleep with Rika. She was sure that the hospital would find a way to accommodate her needs (if they were serious about operating, that is. Emily had no time for those who wanted to waste her time).

Things had pretty much warped up now, and all that needed to follow was for Emily to live a good life with Rika and Damian.

Natasha Goodwill was not having a good time.

As soon as Suzie had been admitted to the hospital, she had been called in by her company. She had no intention of going, but those executives had guilted her into coming here.

Natasha was a responsible alpha, so she had no choice but to show up. But she already knew that this was going to be rough.

“We cannot have Suzie Goodwill’s name on our list of associates.”

“Suzie was such an excellent kid and had so much potential. It’s such a bad thing that this happened to her.”

“But not everything is terrible! You still have your other daughter, Rika, right? Did she turn into an omega? Congratulations! And she is even mated to the Rodric and Steinz heir? What a good fortune!”

They all stopped speaking, and they looked at Natasha with wide eyes.

“Alpha Goodwill, you need to calm down and listen to us! We are only saying this for your benefit. You need to-”

“No! I think I have had enough of you all. I knew you were all vultures, but I never thought-! Ugh, I have decided! I will hand it all to Mark and Rika. But it is up to them what to do.”

Natasha’s decision was met with relief, but as soon as one problem was resolved, another started.

“Wait! But Rika is mated to the Steinz and Rodric heirs! Won’t she hand us over to them? Then what about the Goodwill name-”

“I don’t care anymore! This name can go to hell now! I’ve had enough of you all trying to tell me what to do. Now, let’s see how you deal with Mark and Rika.”

Natasha made the decision, knowing fully well how these executives hated Mark.

They could never control the young alpha because he was too wild and did not feel a sense of responsibility toward these executives as Natasha did.

Moreover, Rika was an entirely different matter.

No one had sunk their claws into her, and she was also under Emily and Damian’s protection.

She was as safe as she could be.

“Alpha Goodwill, you cannot do that-!”

“Think of the future and-”
