Chapter 77: Ch 77: Not their fault
“Miss Steinz, Master Rodric, welcome back to the casino. Your company is waiting for you in the back. Would you like some entertainment tonight?”

As soon as the trio entered the room, Rika stepped back.

She knew very well that the owners of this place had given special instructions to play nice with Emily and Damian, but that did not include her, so she wanted to stay within her boundaries.

Rika expected to be ignored when she was told where she was heading, so she was neither surprised nor disappointed by this reception.

As far as the manager was concerned, she was either Emily’s secretary or some company they acquired to offer their ‘friend’ tonight.

The fact that Rika was a beta and would likely not get pregnant even if someone had fun with her was another fact that added to her image.

“Company? There is no way we will need any of it tonight. Can’t you see that we already have company with us? Or, do you not have eyes to see with?”

Emily asked as she warped her arm around Rika and pulled her forced.

Rika hated how everyone looked at her at once when her waist pulled her forward.

‘W-Why is everyone looking at me with such a look? What do I do now?’

Rika bit her lip as she burrowed her face in Emily’s collar to hide her nervous expression. She did not like the way these people were looking at her.

Emily’s body shuddered under her touch, but Rika did not think much of her.

She raised her head only to look at the manager’s expression. It was clear that he did not want to believe that his offer was rejected because of a mere beta.

“I see! Indeed, your company tonight is beautiful. Please follow me so I can show you to your table.”

The manager smiled professionally, but Rika was sure he was planning something.

‘I better sit as far away from Emily and Damian as possible. The manager will provide some ‘unneeded’ company without anyone telling him.

Rika felt agitated. A weird tingling feeling in her palm only seemed to calm down when Emily touched her.

Besides that, feeling, Rika had been feeling out of it the whole day, but she could not explain why that was.

There should be no reason for her to be feeling sick like this. Even the food she had eaten had been clean.

‘It feels weird. I feel as if I will fall any second now. Since when was walking straight such a difficult task?’

Rika stepped forward, one foot at a time, but it felt like a big task. She did not even realise when she leaned fully against Emily’s body.

She only realised this happened when Emily tightened her arms around Rika’s middle and looked at her concernedly.

Damian also looked concerned but leaned down and tilted Rika’s neck instead of asking something aside.

A cold nose touched Rika’s neck, making her shiver in delight. She did not know her neck and body could feel this sensitive.

“Shit! What the hell-”

Damian cursed as soon as he took a slight whiff.

Rika was unsure what was wrong with him, but she could tell the alpha looked hungry for something.

It also heated Rika’s body, and things finally clicked in her sluggish mind.

‘Fuck! This is happening because of the pheromone imbalance. But I did take suppressants today, so this should not be happening.’

It was challenging to think about anything right now. Rika wanted a lot but knew she did not need it.

Her desires were being filled because of the imbalance she was feeling inside her body.

“Rika, can you hear me? Can you concentrate on my voice? Shit! It seems as if she is too out of it. What should we do now, Dami? We can’t bring her inside with us like this. She won’t be able to handle it.”

Emily complained as she held Rika’s body. Although it did not feel like Rika weighed anything, she felt warm and solid in Emily’s arms.

It was the worst time to get hard, but a physical reaction was hard to control when it was wire-framed into her system.

“Pills. We can use those and scent suppressors for now.”

Ideally, Emily would like to take Rika back home and not worry about her. But taking Rika out in her current condition was not safe.

She also knew that Rika was living in beta-only. It had stringent policies regarding living conditions and who was allowed to be there.

Taking Rika back now would expose her secret, and it could even cause her trouble.

So, the best action was to give Rika’s body time to calm down. For that, giving her pills and letting her rest would be the rest.

That was the plan. However, as soon as Emily turned around to take Rika out of the casino, someone familiar called out to her.

“Finally! You both are here. Do you know how long we had to wait for you to come? If you will be late like this, you should not come.”

Mark looked enraged at how long he had to wait for the alpha couple.

He had not yet noticed Emily, but it was a given that he would not. His sister’s presence was like air to him at this point.

“Come on, Mark. Don’t be too harsh on these two. They are late because of Rika. It looks like she is sick and has become a burden to them.”

Suzie spoke up softly to try and defend the alpha pair in front of her.

Her words sounded condemning, but those who knew her knew that she was not insulting Rika when she said that. She just genuinely thought this was the case.

And somehow, that was worse than her intentionally dissing Rika and making her look bad.

Those who were guests at the table and did not know Suzie and Rika’s relationship giggled as the omega tried to humiliate the clingy beta.
