Middle Child Syndrome - Chapter 82
Chapter 82: Ch 82: Don’t say it
“Rika, are you feeling alright now? Do you know what was making you feel sick?”
Emily asked as she tried to approach Rika slowly. She did not want to trigger Rika, so she kept her movements slow and steady.
But Rika had other plans for her.
As soon as she was close enough, Rika’s drunken mind made her reach out for Emily and tug her closer.
Having the alpha’s alluring scent so close to her made Rika feel better instantly, and she felt less drunk as well.
Emily gasped out loud and fisted her hands so that she would not do anything stupid to Rika. But controlling herself was incredibly hard for her.
“Hmm, you smell good. I think I am reacting to omega scents. The doctor said that I might develop a slight PTSD because of what happened. Your scent helps out a lot.”
Rika was drunk and too honest.
She was also bold because of drinking as she continued to push Emily until she ended up on her back.
“M-Maybe we should stop this now. I won’t be able to control myself if you continue to do this to me, Rika.”
Emily complained as she tried to keep her body still. But Rika could feel what Emily was trying to keep in check.
“It’s okay! I don’t care what you do to me right now. I want to forge what is happening to me and around me. Will you help me out?”
Rika asked as she neared Emily’s lips before kissing her.
The feelings Rika had suppressed inside her were fierce, and alcohol weakened that barrier of control.
Emily pushed more into the kiss once she realised that Rika had no intention of breaking this kiss apart.
But more was needed, and it felt like it needed to be revised. Kissing Emily and not her other half did not feel right.
Her eyes fluttered up to look at the other alpha, who had gone still.
When Damian looked at Rika, he seemed to struggle to control himself. But he did not make a single move, even as Rika kissed his lover.
“You want to join? I won’t mind-”
Rika did not even finish speaking before her face was grabbed by a substantial hand, and she was pulled into a harsh kiss.
Emily’s kiss felt gentle, and it made Rika feel loved. But this one? It screamed of possession and longing.
Damian was not kissing her; he was devouring Rika’s mouth and making her feel weak.
He did not even give Rika a second to breathe before pulling her back.
Emily seemed drunk and unsteadily stood up and walked toward Emily. Her arms warped around Emily’s middle, and her lips nibbled at Emily’s neck and back.
It did not seem like that would leave any scar or mark, but it was only possible because of Emily and her incredible self-control.
This helped Rika feel calmer, and she could not help but say what she wanted to say out loud.
“Fuck! I guess I am in love with you after all. I am even dreaming about you after drinking and falling asleep.”
Those words acted as a catalyst to make Emily snap out of it.
It would only be called a miracle that she stopped when she did and noticed Rika’s condition.
“Dami, stop! I don’t think Rika can take it anymore. Her heartbeat is getting unstable. Hey, stop it.”

Rika looked out of it, and Emily was getting worried about her. Her concern was what overpowered her instincts and made her stop.
It was much more difficult for Damian to stop compared to her.
‘Ah fuck! It is going to be a pain to stop Dami now. But I should have expected this. We’ve been wanting this to happen for a long time now.’
Damian growled aggressively, but Emily intercepted him when he tried to bite Rika.
Sharp fangs lodged themselves into Emily’s arms, and it was not pleasant for her to endure the alpha venom coating her arm and contaminating her blood.
The smell of blood hit the air, and Damian snapped back a little. Emily took this chance to growl back at him and snap him out of his daze.
“Fucking idiot. I know you are all muscle and instincts, but it would not hurt to use your head occasionally, either. We need to get her back home. Shit! But I don’t trust myself right now.”
Emily cursed as she realised how bad of an idea it was for her to be Rika in a tight space.
If not for her, Damian would soon lose control again. This time, Emily had no confidence that she could stop herself.
Her saviour came in the form of a phone call. She picked it up without looking, and the other side wasted no time speaking up.
“Rika, I am sending someone to pick you up soon. Don’t worry; it’s someone from our affiliated branch and a beta. Call me once you feel well enough to talk…. I do mean it. Call me back.”
Alpha Goodwill’s voice was a soothing balm that helped Emily feel more in control.
The haze that had taken her mind was lessening, and she looked down at Damian spraying the pheromone suppressors all over himself and Rika.
Her body had gone out of control and seemed to be acting up.
‘Should I tell Alpha Goodwill what is going on here? She deserved to know, and I don’t think we can keep this situation under wraps any longer! But no! I am sure that.
Emily wanted to tell the older alpha, but her pride got the better, and she decided not to say anything.
“Alpha Goodwill, it is Emily. I am with Rika right now. No, don’t panic. Rika accidentally had too much to drink because her drink got swapped with a spiked one. Yeah, that’s the usual method. Don’t worry; we will get her home. Good night.”
Emily cut the phone off with a sigh and then met Damian’s eyes.
“Look, I know I messed up. Please don’t give me that look. I am thinking of a way to send Rika back as well.”
