Chapter 83: Ch 83: You are bleeding
Ultimately, the alpha pair could not send Rika back that night.

Their instincts did not allow them to separate from the sweet-smelling omega, and they ended up rubbing one out with her in the room, sleeping like the dead.

By morning’s arrival, the alpha pair looked exhausted and fell asleep with Rika sandwiched between them.

The beta made a frustrated sound as she felt crushed and overwhelmed by the pheromones, but her fever did not break.

At first, Emily was sure that it was a heat cycle.

But the usual smell of arousal, as well as the other oddities that came with the cycle, were not there. Instead, it just looked as if Rika was sick.

When she did not know any signs of getting better, even after half a day, the alpha pair knew that it was time to take her to the hospital.

So that’s what they did—they took her to the same hospital they took Rika to last time. The old beta doctor they made a deal with came quickly to check on her potential ‘special’ patient.

The pair can only wait outside as Rika is treated inside the hospital room. There was no way to tell what she was suffering from until the doctor gave them a clear answer.

It took about fifteen minutes for that old lady to come out, and her expression looked grim.

“I cannot tell if you are trying to help this child out or get her killed. I remember telling you to provide her pheromones gently and slowly. What were you thinking about overwhelming her like this?”

“If you keep doing this, then you might make her body go into shock. You should know how dangerous this condition is since you have already dealt with it regularly because of Suzie Goodwill.”

Damian instantly growled low and threatening at Suzie’s name.

She was on Damian’s hit list, but he could only hold back because of Rika.

Most doctors flinched at Damian’s growl, but the beta doctor did not bait an eyelash at him.

“Calm down, kid. If your friend wants to improve, you better listen to me and do what I say. It would be best if you also were thankful that this attack was not that strong. She might not be that lucky next time.”

The doctor’s words almost got her killed by Damian. She was lucky to still be alive after what happened.

If Emily had not reacted in time and stopped Damian, then she did not doubt that the old doctor would be dead meat by now.

The doctor also knew that, but she refused to be intimidated by the pair.

“For now, stay here. We will stabilise your friend’s numbers, and once her fever breaks, we will call you. We don’t know how long it will take, but we shall do our best.”

The doctor assured the pair before she entered the patient’s room and felt her knees buckle.

She might have acted like nothing happened to her, but those pheromones had taken much of her.

It felt horrifying to face those monsters of a pair and be constantly exposed to their pheromones.

“You must be a strong child to be able to spend a childhood with such scary alphas by your side. But no matter how strong you are, you cannot escape your fate.”

“A mad dog never lets go of the prey they catch. In this case, won’t you be torn apart by those alphas sooner or later if you resist too much? You should give in to them now.”

The doctor lady put her hand on Rika’s burying forehead. It felt hot enough to cook an egg if one tried hard enough. But the medicine had already started to work through Rika’s system.

She would wake up soon.

‘Fuck it! Why is my head hammering like this? Where the hell am I…this is a hospital room. Well, fuck my life. How did I get so familiar with a hospital room so quickly? And how did I end up here again?’

Rika bit her lip to stop herself from screaming in frustration.

She had no idea how she ended up here, but she knew it was not a good sign.

Rika was only brought to the hospital if it was an emergency. She did not like it because it made her feel helpless and reminded her of Suzie.

The door opened, and a familiar old face entered the room.

“Are you feeling better, child? Your fever finally broke. Now, if you feel well enough, would you like to have some friends visit you? They seemed rather worried for your safety.”

The doctor seemed to be a beta, and Rika felt herself relax subconsciously.

She did not need to ask who the friends outside her door were. Rika could instinctively tell that it was her alpha…. friends.

Yeah, friends, because I thought anything else was dangerous right now.

“I need a minute to compose myself, but I want to meet them.”

Rika replied with a small smile on her face.

The doctor opened her mouth to say something, but she quickly closed her mouth at the look on Rika’s face.

She could not bring herself to say anything to this poor girl, even though she had much to say.

“Alright, I will send them in now. But if you start to feel feverish again or have pain, We will do what we can to help you.”

The doctor offered before she left.

Rika felt thankful for the doctor and leaned back to relax.

But as soon as she did, she felt a sharp pain in her stomach. It was not her stomach but a little lower, and the pain seemed to be concentrated in a small area.

It pulsed and came in batches. It also made the back side of her body ache when she tried to move and adjust her body.

That was when Emily and Damian entered the room with a slight smile.

“Rika, you are awake…y-you are bleeding!”
