Chapter 84: Ch 84: Stop Panicking! It is not dangerous
The smell of blood was spreading sharply in the hospital room, and it made the two alphas in front of Rika freeze in shocked silence.

Rika should have smelled it long before and realised that something was wrong. But with her naturally dull senses along with the overdose of drugs in her system, it was clear why she was not able to tell what was going on with her until now.

“Y-Your bedsheet! It’s soaked with blood. Oh fuck! Are you hurt? Does it cause you stress? What should we do now? D-Doctor! We need to call her again.”

Emily looked distressed, and Damian pulled the door hard enough to yank it half free.

The pair was panicking, but Rika could not be herself to panic along with them. Somehow, her mind could not feel the same panic as Emily.

Even when the pangs went through her body, it felt natural and right. She knew it was not anything dangerous, but Rika could not remember what her body was going through.

“It’s OK, Emily. I don’t think I’m in danger or anything. But I should change my clothes and the sheets…. maybe even the bedding. It is soaked through with blood.”

Rika tried to get up and walk out of her predicament. But Emily was faster than her and beside Rika in a second.

“You are not getting up now. Damian, you hold Rika down so she would not stand up again. I will go and get a doctor right now.”

Emily panicked, and Rika tried to stop her. But Damian held Rika down so that she would not be able to move around and hurt herself any worse.

“Hey, I don’t think I am in danger, but you should let me go now. My body and mind feel weird. There is no telling what I might do right now. I may even hurt you badly.”

Rika wanted as she looked up at the alpha hovering above her.

Looking at Damian so close to her made Rika’s blood boil excitedly. She could feel her body trying to react to Damian, and Rika knew she was a little wet and excited.

But could you blame her in this situation? Beta or not, Rika was a human, and it was natural to be attracted to strong and beautiful things.

In this case, Damian was both strong and beautiful. He was enough to take Rika away.

Thankfully, Emily decided to return with the old doctor before Rika could do something foolish like kissing Damina. Rika could vividly imagine kissing Damina, which made her lips tingle when she thought about it.

It almost felt as if she had experienced it when the doctor decided to shove Damian away so that she could examine Rika.

“Tsk, you alphas are more like chickens than actual scary beings. You get startled over nothing. Don’t worry! Your girlfriend is okay. This is a natural reaction of the female body.”

The doctor assured, and Rika groaned at being called the ‘girlfriend’ of these two.

Emily looked flustered and angry simultaneously, and Rika was thankful that she was too out of it right now to be disappointed and heartbroken by her expression and words.

“What does that even mean? A person is bleeding out, and this is all you can say? What if Rika dies or something? Will you take responsibility?”

Emily asked, and Damian’s silence seemed to be an agreement. His arms also tightened around Rika’s body, and he seemed worried.

It felt friendly and safe. It allowed Rika time to think and react to what was happening.

And that was also how she remembered what was happening to her body.

“I see. Now I know what is happening. I think being sick and stressed caused me to have my period early. I knew these cramps felt familiar.”

The drug had made a mess out of Rika’s mouth and her neural response. She did not mean to speak those words out loud, but they escaped her mouth nonetheless.

A stunned silence followed Rika’s declaration, and Emily suddenly collapsed out of relief.

“Oh fuck! Thank god this is not some illness that we cannot cure. I-It was obvious that Rika was not hurt, but I lost my cool back there. Fuck! This was so scary.”

Emily admitted as she lost her strength.

Looking at her made Rika feel odd.

On one hand, she did not like it when Emily was very scared. However, the fact that Emily was sad for ‘her’ of all people made all that annoyance seep out of her system.

Rika wanted to move, but it only made her feel gross. And was also aware that she had bled out loud and all over Damian.

“Uhm, I am thankful for all your concern, but can I get a change of clothes, a bucket of water, and a cloth? I need to get cleaned up, but bathing is not suitable for me now.

Somehow, Rika was aware enough to know that she would not be able to endure a bath in her current state. Her head was swirling too much.

But leaving her body this dirty did not sit well with her either.

The doctor sighed as she looked at Rika’s stubborn expression.

“I will send you a temporary change of clothes. Your partners can bring you a new pair when they leave for lunch. Once you feel stable enough, I want to run more tests. Do let me know when you are ready.”

The doctor patted Rika’s shoulder, and then she took a step back.

Damian smacked the doctor’s hand away with an annoyed glare aimed her way. He did not appreciate whatever the doctor was trying to do.

And Rika? She could lie in Damian’s arms with a stupid expression on her face. She wanted to enjoy this attention for as long as it would last.

But it did not last long because Damian put Rika down in the bathroom and quickly left.

He did not turn around once to look at Rika’s expression or her face.
