Chapter 92: Ch 92: Late night acquaintances
Rika placed a hand over her eyes to stop the light from filtering into her eyes. But she did not realise she had fallen asleep with the puppy playing with her.

She woke up when Charon frantically knocked on her door to call her down for dinner.

Only fifteen minutes had passed since Rika closed her eyes, but it felt like an eternity had passed.

At the dining table, the dorm lady’s smile greeted Rika. It was comforting to see that she was not being judged by someone despite the many issues she had to deal with.

“Are you feeling better now, Rika? Does it feel better than before? If you are having any discomfort, tell us. We are here to help you out.”

The dorm lady assured Rika.

The table showed signs of more than three people. Rika felt that the twins she had been informed about had arrived already. She remembered seeing them when she ran up the stairs to empty her stomach.

But Rika should have brought this topic up. She waited for the dorm lady or Charon to do so, but neither pair did.

Dinner was tense but relaxing at the same time.

Finally, the dorm lady decided to introduce Rik to her new dormmates.

“Rika, do you remember the twins we told you about? They are finally in their rooms. You are free to ignore them if they get too noisy. Don’t feel guilty if you must be tough on them or ignore them. They are rather used to it by now.”

The dorm lady assured Rika, and she could not tell if this politeness was a mask to make Rika keep her head down or if it was a blessing in disguise.

Dinner was nothing special, but it was fulfilling. Rika felt more awake than she had felt during the day and was too awake to fall asleep.

Both the puppy and Charon fell asleep as soon as they reached their rooms, and it was clear which person in the room was influencing the puppy.

“Hmm, it looks like things tired you out today. I envy how you can fall asleep so soon and into a deep sleep. I wish I could do the same.”

Rika sighed as she headed out of her room and into the hallway.

The cold wind instantly woke Rika up, any residual sleep she had left in her eyes.

It also helped Rika feel numb so that she could think about her desires and what kind of future she wanted for herself.

“Hey, what are you looking at?”

“You are a new person here. How did you end up in this run-down hostel? I am sure you could have stayed in a high-class hotel if you wanted to.”

“That’s right! You are also cute enough to entice your boyfriend and get severe with him enough to crash at his place. Or are you into traditional stuff, like marriage after sex?”

“Well, we are asking you too many questions, but please don’t ignore us. It will break my heart if you do that. Oh, Fey! I can feel my heart breaking. Whatever shall I do now?”

The twins had Rika surrounded before she could say anything.

Rika got a good look at the twins because of this encounter.

Both were lean and tall, but it was clear who was male and female. Apart from the noticeable gender difference, there was no difference in the fascial structure or hairstyle.

They both had a side-parted blond mop on top of their head, making their ear piercings shine.

“Excuse me, but do you need anything from me? If not, then would you leave me alone? I am not in a mood to entertain your whims.”

Rika warned the pair, and she could tell they were stunned by her words.

The pair looked at each other before understanding passed through their eyes, and they turned toward Rika as one with their creepy stair.

“Yup! She is the one. We found someone who does not think we are weird or gross.”

“We finally have a friend we can rely on.”

The beta twins suddenly looked happy, and Rika did not want to rain down on their parade or anything. But she did not want any relationship built on lies.

“Oi! Don’t get ahead of yourselves. I do think that you both are weird, alright?”

Rika babbled so that the twins would hear her. But this weird light in their eyes startled Rika, and she felt that the twins had filtered out what they wanted to hear from what they did not want to hear from her.

“It’s okay! You can think that we are weird without feeling guilty! We can like you for who you are if you remain truthful with us.”

The male twin promised, but Rika had already forgotten their names.

Her head ached after dealing with these two, and Rika did not bother greeting them when she left the ‘lovely’ company she had suddenly found herself in.

Rika was not tired or sleepy, but lying on her bed brought her much-needed relief from the world.

It welcomed Rika with open arms, and she did not want to leave the bed.

But of course, the night had to end, and a new day had to arrive.

And with that, it’s time for breakfast.

Rika’s stomach protested as she denied herself food. She did not want to get up from the comedy position she had found herself in.

But alas, all good things must end, and this was no escape from the hunger Rika suddenly developed.

When Rika made her way down, the dorm lady and Charon were present, but the twins from last night were also present.

Rika felt her guard turning up as she walked toward the dining table, and she pulled out a chair to sit down.

It was awkwardly silent for a few minutes, and no one said anything.

But then the dorm lady decided to do introductions so Rika would not feel so uncomfortable in front of unknown people.
