Chapter 95: Ch 95: You made a mistake…now pay for it
It was just an ordinary work day for Rika. The flower shop was peaceful and reasonable, just like it was supposed to be. It helped Rika heal, and for the first time in forever, it felt as if she was not in trouble.
However, Rika should have known better than to think like this so early. Trouble was brewing, and it was about to find her.
It happened two hours into her shift – the door opened, and those annoying bitchy omegas from the morning entered the shop.
Anyone with a functioning brain could tell they did not mean anything good by coming here.
But since they were customers, Rika could not mistreat them or throw them out as she pleased.
“Rika, I don’t know if I have a terrible memory, but those omegas that entered the shop are bad news. Aren’t they the ones that caused a mess yesterday? Ugh, just thinking about it makes me feel tired.”
Daniel shuddered as he watched those nightmarish customers enter the shop again.
But then, once again, he proved just how great an actor he was by smiling back at the customers with his professional smile and putting them at ease.
“Miss, what can I help you with? I am afraid that most of our regular flowers are sold out. The owner will be here to pick them up soon. Let me know if you want anything specific, and I will try to see if we have it in stock.”
Daniel asked with a professional smile.
Rika had to admit that her coworker was good-looking, if not a little intimidating.
People usually considered his large body and steady face ‘handsome, but living with people with extraordinary beauty had dulled Rika’s sense of beauty.
The people who were usually above-average in a normal person’s eyes were average in hers.
However, that was only the case for her.
Now that the haze of pheromones was not clouding these omega’s eyes, it was clear to them that Daniel was a catch as well.
So, instead of looking around, one of the omegas leaned forward on the counter to shop off her ‘assets’ directly in front of a hormonal male to entice him.
“Can I buy you instead of the flowers? I have money and can pay any price you want me to. Just name it, and it shall be yours.”
That omega wasted no time breathing around the bush. She confidently spoke about what she wanted, and Rika noticed how the other omega looked jealous.
More than one person seemed to have developed a crush on Daniel, and Rika felt the need to interfere before anything could happen.
Usually, Rika would not have dared to come between beefing omegas like this, but Daniel looked uncomfortable.
And as a fellow employee, Rika felt sympathy and a need to help him out.
“I am afraid it is against store policy to date a customer. Also, if you are not going to buy anything, you cannot be here. Please leave the premises before I throw you out.”
Rika threatened the omegas in front of her.
She did not want to deploy this method but was not about to keep quiet when Daniel needed her help.
The older beta looked thankful to have Rika’s help, and he shot her a grateful smile.
Of course, if Rika’s actions relieved one person, they also made another feel neglected and annoyed.
In this case, these omegas felt their egos had been bruised, and they could no longer take the insults.
“Oh, I see! So, you want us to buy something here to show that we are customers? Sure, just let us look around.”
When Daniel heard what these omegas had said, all that relief faded from his face. His heart sank, and his face broke out into a cold sweat.
“Please, don’t touch anything. As I told you before, all this has already been paid for. There will be a massive problem if anything is broken in here-”

No sooner had Daniel spoken those words than the sound of a vase shattering reached his ear.
Daniel felt his soul leave his body at what had happened, and he quickly ran to check on the customers.
The ceramic white vase placed for display was broken into pieces. It was one of the sold items some time ago, and its owner was coming to pick it up in the afternoon.
“I am sorry. This was an accident. I was trying to see the vase, but I dropped it. Here, let me pay for it.”
The omega did not sound sorry at all.
If anything, she sounded amused and delighted to see the anxious expression on Daniel’s face.
She wanted to see the same expression on Rika’s face, but that face was impassive and showed no emotions.
“Since you broke the vase, I expect you to also pay for it. Don’t bother running or hiding. We have too many cameras and hidden devices that keep track of who did what here. You will be caught if you try to run.”
Rika warned, but the omega still looked smug.
“It’s OK! Since I made a mistake, I will owe and pay for it. I am just sorry that this happened to your shop. I promise I will be more careful next time.”
The omega promised before she winked at the other omegas to show that it had all been her act to put this shop into trouble.
Daniel shook in his place as he watched this happening.
His desire to hit someone or something rose, but he needed help to hit potential customers.
“Please pay this bill. Would you like to pay in cash or card?”
Rika handed the bill to the omega, who frowned at the amount written on it.
“Are you sure this is the right price? Or are you trying to scam me by giving me this price? Isn’t it too much? I’m not paying this ridiculous sum of money.”
The omega asked worriedly as she looked down at the bill.
But Rika did not even bait an eye at the apparent plea to recheck the price.
