“I am afraid that I cannot give you a discount on the price of the item you broke. If you do not have enough money, you can get it loaned from us or a bank. But I cannot tell you how much it will benefit you.”

Rika’s stance was unwavering; she would not budge on the price of the broken showpiece.

The omega wanted to protest, but her friends were looking at her.

Moreover, more people started to come inside to check out what was happening.

While the omega knew that paying the money and leaving was the sensible choice, she couldn’t bring herself to do it.

At that moment, the Omega hatched a plan. She would employ the ultimate technique, a move that had softened many hearts in the past.

Her eyes filled with tears, and she looked at Rika and Daniel with her tear-filled expression.

“I-I am so sorry! It was a mistake, and it will not happen again. Please, let me go this time.”

The omega’s distress was palpable as she cried out, her heart heavy with the situation’s weight. Yet, a glimmer of hope flickered within her, knowing that this display of emotion might be her ticket out of this predicament.

‘Ha, this is foolproof planning on my part. Now, the shop owner has no choice but to agree with me, or she would be seen as a bad person who made an omega cry.’

The omega was sure she would be let go of any second now.

But Rika was not soft-hearted at all.

“Are you done calming yourself down? If you are, please give us the money already. If you refuse to pay the first time, I will raise the price.”

Rika threatened, and it caused the female omega to freeze and question if she heard right or not.

‘Huh! What happened? Did my ears betray me? Or d-did this omega seriously ask me to pay? Me! A crying omega? Is she not afraid of getting chewed up by the people around her?’

Omega thought about it, but she could not show the irritation on her face. She could only look up with a serene expression, hoping that it would somehow convince this beta to let her go.

“And I will make you cry even louder if you do not pay up the money you owe me. Now, I asked if it would be cash or credit.”

Rika asked, and that omega felt afraid of someone for the first time.

She had never seen anyone immune to an omega’s charm and pheromones.

‘It has to be all these flowers. I am sure that there is no other reason why my pheromones did not work well. I can try again later and-‘

“Hurry up and give it to me. We don’t have the whole day to do this. We are trying to run a business here, after all.”

Rika’s words were humiliating, making the omega squirm in her place.

The Omega was having difficulty coming up with something to say, so she handed Rika her card.

The others took little time to clear the shop and quickly buy what they wanted. The atmosphere was tense until the show was left alone once more.

Once everyone was gone, Rika stretched her arms and relaxed her body. As soon as she relaxed, all the tension ran out of her body, and Rika could breathe more easily.

“Ugh, this feels good. I feel so much better now that we made such a big sale. Also, don’t worry about that order we need to send. I expected something like this to happen, so I already put that order elsewhere for now.”

Rika assured Daniel as she watched his worried expression.

Her words made Daniel sigh with relief, but his expression soon turned back into a frown.

“You made that omega pay ten times more than what she needed to pay for that vase. Are you sure nothing would happen because we did this? What if we get arrested for fraud?”

Those worries seemed to plague Daniel’s mind as he walked beside Rika.

But his partner looked unbothered by the threat of being cuffed and jailed.

“If the police get us, then it gets us. But I doubt that anything would happen to us. No one can prove that we hiked up the prince of the vase. The original piece is gone, and we can make a thousand excuses for it now.”

“Besides, do you think that an omega with a colossal ego will tell anyone that she got ripped off by us? She would rather sew her mouth shut than admit such things. Don’t you agree?”

Rika asked in a somewhat amused voice.

Daniel opened his mouth to protest, only to realise he agreed with her.

Even though he knew this incident was not that big of a deal, he could not help but worry about Rika and what would happen to her.

“Just…be careful out there. I feel bad about what will happen soon. Just take care of yourself and make sure you keep in contact with someone all the time.”

Rika looked at Daniel’s worried expression and felt her heart soften with his words.

It felt nice to have someone worry about her this much and even warn her about the dangers without expecting anything in return.

“Don’t worry! I will be fine for the next couple of days. My friends are in the territory and said they would take turns walking me back home. I am sure no one will be foolish enough to try something when someone is accompanying me.”

Daniel opened his mouth, almost as if he wanted to say something. But then he closed his mouth and decided to keep quiet.

The door of their shop opened just then, and Emily walked in with a massive grin on her face.
