Chapter 554: Chapter 554: Celebration
The music shook the building, bass running through the floor like a heartbeat. The club was alive, crowded, loud, expensive.
Ash sat comfortably on the couch in their section, drink in hand, a stupid grin on his face. In front of him, two women were fully twerking on him, moving in perfect rhythm like they had nothing to prove. It wasn’t sloppy. It wasn’t forced. It was clean, confident, real skill.
Ash leaned back like a king in his seat, soaking in the moment, shaking his head like he just saw art in motion.
“The girl is so fire,” he mumbled out, almost to himself, voice half-groan like he didn’t even believe how good it was.
Joey, sitting next to Damon and Ty, heard him loud and clear. He turned his head slowly, eyes narrowing. “Don’t tell me you about to start simpin’ already.”
Ash didn’t even argue, raising his glass slightly. “Hey, I’m just saying… I find a girl like this every night? Might have to retire from the streets.”
Ty damn near choked on his drink. He sat up, looking at Ash like he was insane. “Retire from what streets? Bro, your crib got a wine cellar bigger than this whole club.”
Edward chuckled low, shaking his head. “Ty not lying. Ain’t no streets in a gated estate.”
Joey laughed, looking over at Damon. “Yeah, me and this man here the only ones with ladies at home. You? You just playing house in the club.”
Damon smirked, relaxed in his seat, sipping casually. “Let him dream, Joey. Ain’t nothing wrong with hope.”
Ash just laughed it off, hands up, still letting the girls work like nothing else mattered. “Jealousy’s loud tonight,” he shot back.
Ty leaned over to Edward. “Money make people bold.”
Edward nodded without looking. “And drunk.”
They all laughed. Just five guys, away from all the noise of life.
Ash stood up, fixing his shirt with that same cocky grin. “I’m gonna take a leak, man… you guys are killing the vibe.”
The guys laughed as he motioned for the two girls to follow him, and without hesitation, they did, trailing after him like this wasn’t their first rodeo.
As Ash disappeared into the crowd, Damon leaned back on the sofa, his eyes shifting to Ty and Edward, the only two out of the crew without women at home waiting for them.
He raised his drink slightly, giving them that quiet, curious look. “Alright, real question… why you two acting like old married men tonight? No girls? No wild sh*t? Nothing?”
Ty shrugged casually, the big man looking way too comfortable with his glass of whiskey. “Bro… I’ve been wrestling dudes my whole life. The last thing I want right now is fighting another one off some drunk girl’s ex running his mouth in a club.”
Edward gave a small chuckle, barely looking up. “Plus… not every night gotta be chaos. Sometimes, man… sitting back, drinking good, watching Ash do stupid shit is entertainment enough.”
Joey laughed from the side, agreeing. “Facts. Watching Ash is like a free reality show.”
Damon shook his head, chuckling low. “Damn… when did you get old?”
Ty grinned. “Not old, just smarter.”
Edward lifted his glass. “And more patient.”
Damon smiled, leaning back further. “Guess that’s why y’all still single.”
Ty grinned right back. “Or maybe we just waiting for the right twerker.”
They kept chatting, relaxed in their own space, drinks in hand, small jokes passing around. But their ease didn’t last long.
One of the two girls that had left with Ash suddenly came rushing back through the crowd. Her heels clapped hard against the floor, breathing sharp, face pale like she’d seen something she shouldn’t have.
She didn’t even come straight to them, she was looking around wild-eyed, until she spotted Damon and the others. She practically stumbled to their table.
“Yo—yo!” she called out, panicked, pointing back towards the hallway near the bathrooms. “That guy I was with… the dude I was dancing with?”

They all sat up immediately, Damon already frowning.
“What about him?” Ty asked, voice dropping.
She shook her head fast, hands trembling. “They—they jumped him! I don’t know who they were, but soon as we got in the back… like three, maybe four dudes just came outta nowhere and started swinging on him!”
Edward was already pushing himself off the couch.
Joey cursed under his breath, standing. “Mother—”
But Damon was already gone, moving past them before they even fully stood up, his entire expression dark, cold, laser focused.
Ty shook his head with a low whistle. “Ohhh…they really messed up tonight.”
Edward muttered flatly. “Pray for them.”
In the back, Ash leaned against the wall near the bathroom hallway, still a little tipsy, swaying lightly as he blinked at the scene in front of him.
Four guys stood around him, blocking his way out, one of them red-faced, barking at the girl Ash had brought along.
“You think I’m stupid, huh?!” the guy pointed at her, his voice full of alcohol and pride. “This what you do now? We on a break, not dead!”
The girl shot back without hesitation, folding her arms. “Exactly, a break. You out here doing your thing, I’m doing mine. What? I’m supposed to sit at home and wait like I’m your pet or something?”
The guy’s boys hyped him up, nodding like she’d just insulted his entire bloodline.
Ash stood there watching this chaos, shaking his head slowly, mumbling to himself.
“Man… this is crazy…” He scratched the back of his neck, then raised his hands casually like he was mediating world peace.
“Listen… fellas… calm down. Look, my guy… I’m not even involved in whatever telenovela y’all got going on, okay?” He gestured lazily at the angry boyfriend. “And honestly… I’m not tryna catch charges tonight.”
He gave a lazy grin, still too drunk to feel real danger.
“But listen though… before this gets stupid… my brother, my friend, the guy who’s literally right outside? Yeah… Damon Cross. UFA world champion. Fresh champion too. So maybe…” Ash motioned with both hands like he was offering them common sense on a silver platter. “…maybe y’all should just go grab a drink and let this go before he walks back here and things get… educational.”
That only seemed to piss them off more.
The lead guy sneered. “Damon Cross? What, you think we care about all that cage fighting shit? This the street, bro.”
Ash exhaled through his nose, chuckling quietly to himself. “Yeah… see… wrong answer.”
