Chapter 173: Crazy Lashing Tree Monster
“Let’s just run away!” Terry shouted. “It’s Minor Boss of the 25th floor!”

As soon as his words left his mouth, the Crazy Lashing Tree Monster shot its roots out towards them with incredible speed.

The roots were sharp and spiky—they were much more dangerous than any man-made whip.

Its roots headed towards the weaker of the two—straight at Terry—who couldn’t do anything except watch in horror.

At that moment, Adam jumped in front of the flying roots and covered himself with his flower-petaled wings, shielding both him and Terry.

The roots smashed against the wings and disintegrated into harmless dust.

The wings couldn’t be broken through!

Adam unfurled the wings and landed back on the ground, breathing heavily but with a small smile playing on his lips.

He looked at his wings and smirked. “I love these…”

“M-maybe I’ll leave after all…” Terry said and started climbing back up towards the ground. “Don’t you dare to die!”

The Crazy Lashing Tree Monster didn’t enjoy his roots turning into dust powder. The monster trashed in anger and swiped its roots wildly towards Adam.

Adam, with his unfurled wings, flew forward, and when the roots were about to smash into him, he covered his body behind his beautiful wings and shielded himself from the monster’s attack.

The roots got deflected away from him harmlessly.

As Adam neared the tree, the roots started to stretch out toward him again, and this time, they wrapped around him in a very tight, murderous hug.

The wings slashed against the roots, cutting through them effortlessly.

Adam, like a shooting missile, flew past the roots and crashed into the tree, the wings slashing across its bark.

The health dropped measly two percent.

At that moment, a hundred more branches shot out from the bark and smashed against the beautiful flower-petaled wings, but the wings remained unscathed, glowing even brighter in defiance.

Adam put his steel-bladed sword in a reverse grip and then moved with such speed that it made him look like he was made out of wind.

Hundreds of scratch marks appeared on the tree’s bark, and its health started to drop drastically.

While using the Little God’s physical enhancement to move with such speeds, the wings also increased his speed even more.

This speed, even though he was almost thirty levels lower than his past-life self, was not too far from his peak speed!

After all, he never managed to discover the Wings of Berserker in his past life, as he acquired the Little God skill only a month before his death!

The Crazy Lashing Tree Monster couldn’t do anything against this onslaught.

This opponent was a horrible match-up for it!

While the fight raged on, the three friends slowly woke back up and felt their bodies slowly breaking apart.

They groaned and cried out in pain.

At that moment, they noticed the fight that was happening and were shocked to the core to see Adam fighting against such a powerful and frightening opponent.

Noel sat back up, and there was also a hole in his chest. He felt immense despair washing over him as he realized he was not going to survive.

While fighting against the tree monster, Adam felt his eyelids turn annoyingly heavy.

The wings carried Adam into the air.

However, while he was trying to fly towards the tree bark, as it was only part of the monster he could actually damage that would cause a loss of health, the roots wrapped around his ankles and smashed him straight down to the ground with a thunderous impact.

The wings luckily cushioned his fall, but he was still left bruised and winded.

The wings brought Adam back into the air, and the roots flew straight back at him with vengeance. The monster wasn’t allowing him to relax even for a split second!

Then, before he could do anything, the tree monster snapped their necks and laughed coldly.

Adam looked at the tree monster coldly and said, “They were my kills. My revenge. How dare you?”

The tree monster just laughed in response.

“Alright then…” Adam smirked. “I’ll just kill you instead, then.”
