Chapter 186: 186- Stay On Diamond Floor
“Are you talking about me, Nina?” When Marissa stepped inside, she was met with silence in the room.
Marissa walked past Nina and Valerie and faced the audience sitting there, “I’m sorry that you got your cards late. Mr. Mark Greyson informed me that you all are very much interested in the cards,” while talking to them her eyes were observing every action and every expression of the audience, “I didn’t know, this lot didn’t want respect. You people didn’t receive your cards because there is an unsaid rule in MSin. If you are a family member then you don’t need a card,” her chuckle echoed in the quiet room. People seemed to be holding their breaths.
“Mr. Sinclair hired you and decided that you are like his family. You all were here for something very special. To welcome the President of MSin in Kanderton City,” she could feel the tension in the room.
It felt like they all had stopped breathing.
“Mr. Sinclair is the one who appointed me as your head. I tried my best to work alongside you without creating any tension in the office. However, I guess, you don’t want me as your head anymore.”
A smile broke on her lips as she shrugged and hooked her thumbs to her pants pockets, “I’m not here to impose myself on you. You done want me as your in charge? Fine. No problem. The good thing is, all those who will be working under Kate, are supposed to shift on one of the Diamond floors. These women will be there to guide you all,” she motioned towards Nina and Valerie.
Everyone standing there could feel the way she called them ‘these women’ instead of taking their names.
It was disrespectful.
“While the ones who are interested in working WITH me, not UNDER me,” She looked solemnly towards Shang and Denzel, “They are welcome to stay on the floor.”
Low murmurs erupted in the hall. Everyone was confused. Kate was looking at Nina and Valerie in anger.
Didn’t they belong to the Sinclair clan? Didn’t they deserve some special treatment for being with Sinclair women?
What was exactly happening?
She wanted to shake Nina who was bragging just a few minutes back, about issuing the cards within twenty-four hours.
With a sinking heart, Delinda looked sideways where Denzel’s sole attention was focused on Marissa.
Now we will be on different floors. Thanks to Marissa.
For a minute, she felt guilty for not being friends with her. But she knew what these homewreckers were capable of.
“So, folks!” Marissa said with an over-brightened grin, “You all need to go to your respective floors. Now!” she said firmly.
Mark Greyson who was standing behind her, cleared his throat, “Ladies and gentlemen. One more important point, you all should know,” he watched at the tensed faces of the employees, “Without special permission, none of you is allowed to step on the Gold or Silver floors,” he added, “we can file a lawsuit against you. Please come down to the Silver floor and sign your new contracts.”
With that he turned on his heels to leave the room when Nina placed her hand quickly on his arm, “Wait. Mr. Mark Greyson. This morning, you said, the list needs the signature of an owner. Yet you never asked for my signature,” she turned to the people who were witnessing the drama and declared, “I owe the company’s shares. It must be around twenty or maybe more than that.” She said with a shallow laugh.
But Mark just shook his head, “I talked to Mr. Sinclair. He said you own less than five percent.”
“This can’t be true. And if I don’t own enough then what about this…” she glared at Marissa, “How much does she own?” she asked with a sarcastic edge in her tone.
Mark brushed his palm on his bald head and gave Nina an apologetic smile, “Ms. Sinclair. I think you should talk to Mr. Sinclair about that.”
Standing there, Nina felt like a fool who couldn’t understand what was going on there.
“How will Valerie lead a team when we will be here on this floor and our team will be on the Diamond floors?” she snapped.
Valerie and Kate were nodding their heads as if their lives depended on this question.
Everyone standing there was startled when the answer came from Marissa, instead of Mark, “Perhaps, I should ask him to make Diamond cards for you as well.”
There was a dangerous glint in Nina’s eyes. How dare, Marissa got this bold? Where was her damn son?
Gritting her teeth, Nina strode towards Marissa. Once she got dangerously close, she raised her hands to push Marissa will full force.
When the bitch’s head will hit the wall, she won’t be able to do anything without a memory.

Sigh! Alas!
They weren’t alone. She couldn’t do any such thing with witnesses standing there.
Gone was the woman who used to get scared and could be intimidated quite easily. The woman standing there wasn’t Marissa. It was someone else. Maybe her ghost.
This woman who had Marissa’s face wasn’t only cunning but knew how to play well.
“What happened, Nina?” Marissa fluttered her eyes playfully, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips, “What’s stopping you from pushing me?” she leaned in slightly, her voice dropping to a whisper, “What else have you got up your sleeve? I really want to see it.”
Nina wanted to smash her face, “You are playing with fire, Marissa,” she spat in anger. People standing there might be wondering what they were talking about.
Valerie wasn’t liking it.
Why are they whispering to each other? Why is Nina acting like Marissa is the owner? Why isn’t Nina using her power against this dim-witted bitch?
Marissa might be here in MSin, but she wasn’t allowed to win. Valerie couldn’t let that happen.
“Answer her, dammit!” Valerie screamed at her younger sister, “No one can dare to move our team downstairs. It’s you and your pets who deserve to move down. Not us,” Valerie was screaming pointing at Marissa the whole time.
“Keep your voice low, Valerie!” Marissa told her in the softest tone but none of them liked it.
“No, she won’t,” Nina snarled, “What will you do?”
“Nina!” Marissa raised her hand, “I need you to stop …”
“And I need you to stop dictating me… what the hell!” she turned back and found Dean quietly watching the drama, “Kick her out! Now!”
With a sigh, Marissa walked ahead and looked at all the people standing there, “As you all have witnessed, how these ladies are talking to me, I would like to do one more thing before I leave this room.”
She then turned to Mark Greyson, “Please hand over the two cards that I asked you to hold back.”
Mark signaled his secretary who hurriedly took out a small package from the envelope, she was holding.
“As these women love you so much,” Marissa announced pointing towards Nina and Valerie, “I have decided to send them to your floor.”
Several gasps could be heard in the room when Marissa gave the two pink-colored cards to Nina and Valerie with a cute smile.
“Congratulations. You both will stay on the Diamond floor along with your beloved team members.”
