Chapter 199: 199- Are You From the Sinclair Family?
The girl’s eyes fell on Valerie’s reflection in the mirror. A slight sneer appeared on her lips as she tilted her head, “How are you, love? Accompanying a rich man? Huh!”
Valerie scrunched her nose. The girl’s tone was not only judgmental but also dripping with condescension.
Before Valerie could open her mouth to hurl back the insult, the bratty girl spoke again, “Girls usually can’t afford this place so they either hire a rich boyfriend or lure a rich man who can bring them here. Have you looked at their menu prices? Or hotel room charges?”
Valerie closed one eye and turned her head a little. She wanted to give the girl a piece of her mind. However, the girl seemed to be in her own Lala land.
Instead of confronting her, Valerie decided to coat her lips again with the same nude shade.
“I don’t need rich boyfriends. My family owns money …” The girl opened the tap and started washing her hands, “We are one of the richest. What about you, darling?”
Valerie’s hand paused in the midair as she was about to cap her lipstick. She took a deep breath, keeping her composure, “I’m here on my own, actually. Not everyone needs to lean on someone’s wealth.”
The girl had washed her hands and was now placing them under the drier, “Oh,” her lips curled into a smirk, “Really? I just figured, you were tagging along with a rich stud,” her eyes ran over Valerie taking in what she was wearing.
Valerie followed her gaze and found her attire perfectly fine.
“You don’t exactly look like the type who belongs here,” The girl remarked with a smirk.
Valerie clenched her jaw but forced a smile. She wasn’t here to pick fights with strangers, “Yeah. I’m not one of those who like to flaunt their wealth in people’s faces. By the way, have you ever heard of Rafael Sinclair?”
Thinking lines appeared on the girl’s forehead, “Umm. Sounds familiar.”
“Well,” Valerie shrugged with a chuckle, “I’m his wife. Valerie Sinclair. You can use the search engine to know more about me,” Valerie stretched her lips into a smile, “Let me know your name too. I want to look up on the internet if any soul knows you.”
The girl wasn’t expecting this answer from her. Her face flushed slightly, she was about to say something when Valerie spoke again without giving her a chance.
It seemed like she wanted to lash out her anger about Rafael and Marissa on this girl.
“One more thing… I don’t keep on interrogating random people about their wealth like a retard. You need a good mental doctor, child.”
The girl’s face heated up in fury, “So by the end of it, you proved me right,” she pointed out, “You do have a rich husband after all. See? That was what I was talking about.” There was a proud grin on her face by the end of it.
Valerie’s patience also snapped as she spun around to face the girl, with a sharp look, “You have no idea who you are talking to,” she growled low, “Maybe you should focus less on other people’s boyfriends or husbands and more on learning some manners. Because right now you are doing nothing but embarrassing yourself.”
The girl’s bravado seemed to crumble as Valerie’s words hit her. Valerie had been staying in five-star or seven-star hotels, but she never faced such lowlife people in her life.
The girl looked away, tucking her hair behind her ear, “You…”
“Shut up!” Valerie hissed, “You are asking people about their rich boyfriends but shamelessly spending money owned by your father. Now get lost before I ask security to throw you out. Don’t forget that my husband owns major shares of this hotel.”
Val came up with the last line, at the last minute, giving herself a mental pat on her back.
The girl’s confidence faltered, and she didn’t take time to turn on her heels and hurried out of the bathroom.
Valerie wished she could punch the beautiful face of that girl. How dare she, when Valerie was already upset due to Marissa’s presence?
She came out of the bathroom and due to her disturbed mind didn’t take the route that led to the restaurant, back to Nina. Instead, she started walking in the opposite direction.
There was a girl in staff uniform, who was carrying an empty tray. When their eyes met, Valerie gave her a smile. The girl nodded in her direction.
Valerie wanted to ask her about that bratty girl who she just met in the bathroom, so she opened her purse and took out some bills, flashing them on the staff girl.
“Th… thank you, ma’am. You’re so nice,” she looked around like a scared crow and placed the money hurriedly in her pocket.
She must be conscious due to the cameras around, but Valerie offered her a friendly smile, “Don’t worry. I’m giving it to you willingly. If your bosses give you any kind of trouble then just make a call,” Valerie fished out her visiting card from the purse, “Here is my number. I’m giving it to you in case they might want to confirm.”

The girl accepted the card and gave a thankful grin her way, “Thank you, ma’am. You are too sweet.”
“It’s ok, Umm,” Valerie read the badge on her chest, “Roma. Right?”
The girl nodded with a smile, “Should I bring you something, ma’am? How can I help you?”
Obviously, she wasn’t a fool. She was aware that she was paid in advance for some services.
“There was a girl in the bathroom. And she was super rude to me. I’m sorry but if you get these types of customers then…”
“Oh,” The staff girl made a pout, “I know. Sometimes we do get customers who are very rude and think that they have bought us. But you look so different. You look rich, you are beautiful, yet you have got perfect manners.”
Valerie wanted to ask about that girl but couldn’t say anything when the girl started showering her with praise.
“Thanks!” she said shyly.
“No, seriously, ma’am. You might be thinking, I’m doing it because I’m working in the service industry, but I have never seen such a down-to-earth woman who has gotten all of it but still she can’t accept the praise as her right. You people are quite rare in this world.”
Valerie swiped her tongue over her lips, “I don’t know what to say.”
“Say nothing. Just tell me what I can do for you,” Valerie again started telling her about that rude bathroom girl until the uniformed girl read the visiting card that Valerie offered her just a few minutes back.
Roma’s face turned pale within a few seconds, “Valerie Sinclair? Are you from the Sinclair family?”
