Chapter 211: 211- Taking Nina By Surprise
When Marissa came out of his office she felt like hooting with laughter. If Rafael was saying to consider it booked, then it meant he wouldn’t go back on his word.
So, it was decided.
The new event would take place in the White Palace. Yay!
When she went to the conference room, the low murmurs died slowly when they saw her.
“Marissa,” Kate offered her tab to Marissa, “I just used the search engine to know about these properties. You can have a look.”
Marissa took the tablet from her hands and glanced at her team.
“Guys!” she chewed her lower lip in excitement, “How about we go for White Palace?”
She then walked over to connect her laptop to the projector and gestured for Kate to take the head seat, “See, what do we have here for White Palace? Can you search for the images?”
With a nod, Kate took the seat and started searching for White Palace.
“Most of the pictures are blurred, Marissa,” Kate remarked while looking for other pictures.
Out of nowhere, Delinda’s clipped tone boomed through the room, “When there is a private property, then usually they blur the pictures for privacy reasons,” she wasn’t even looking at Marissa, but her eyes were on the projector screen. The blurred picture of the outlook for the most expensive property of Kanderton was displayed.
Marissa took out her phone when felt its vibration. Rafael’s message, “I’m sending you the link, click it and you will get the detailed pictures of White Palace.”
Wow! That was fast.
Detailed pictures of White Palace? Marissa was impressed. The owner must have been a friend or childhood buddy of Rafael and Marissa wanted to meet him someday.
She asked Kate to open the link and there they were, the perfect pictures of the beauty and grandeur on the screen. Everyone sitting there was in awe.
“This is so beautiful,” Denzel spoke dreamily, “Now I understand why it’s called White Palace. I visited it once when my friend used to be a butler there.”
“You did?” Marissa asked him dreamily, “I so want to go there and look at it from inside.”
“With the new owner, there are now more guards to protect the property,” Denzel informed her, “By the way, good choice, Marissa. The place is not only more than enough for our guests, but they will get ample car parking as well.”
Marissa quickly turned to Kate, “Note it down. We need to talk to Valet service providers.”
Her eyes then settled on Peter, “Your mural designs will look good here. Let me ask if they’ll allow us to have a look before the event.”
She said eagerly and could feel the buzz in the air. They all had started talking at once in excitement. Except for Delinda everyone looked charged.

Nina took the tour of the uppermost Diamond floor and then threw up her hands in frustration, “Where is the team?” she turned to Geena who was right behind her, “I want to change every decision that Marissa made for that event. But I can’t see anyone here.”
Before Geena could speak, Nina stopped a worker who was hastily going to the other corner of the hallway, “Excuse me. I’m Nina Sinclair.”
The poor guy seemed to be in urgency, “Yes. How can I help you?”
“There was an event team seated here. Where are they?”
This time the man ran a curious gaze at Nina, “The ones who came from the Gold floor?” Nina nodded at him in answer.
“They went back,” he didn’t stop after that, not giving Nina enough chance to ask any further questions.
“Went back?” Nina repeated and fixed her gaze at the empty meeting room, “How can they be allowed to set their foot when they had those pink cards?”

Muttering to herself, she went to the elevator, “What is the team doing on the upper floor when they are supposed to stay here?”
Geena wasn’t interested in these stupid team and floor games. She needed to approach Rafael and had to come up with an excuse to spend time with him.
“Dean!” Geena felt her ears ringing when Nina’s shrill voice echoed on the VIP floor. Dean must have felt the same because his facial features also tightened for a few seconds.
“Dean. Are the team people here? Who allowed them on the floor? Weren’t they supposed to stay on the Diamond?”
Dean cast a glance her way. Now Nina is asking about the event members. Otherwise, she almost abandoned them and did not visit them even once.
“I’m asking something, Dean. Did Rafael allow them to stay here?”
Dean shook his head and gave her a one-word answer, “Marissa.”
Nina went quiet and blinked her eyes several times, “Are you telling me, that Marissa allowed them to …” her voice dwindled.
Wasn’t Marissa the team in-charge? Who made her the floor in charge?
She was the one who sent the team on the Diamond floor and now they were back to the VIP floor.
What kind of game was she playing?
Nina turned her head to the conference room where Marissa was expected to be present along with others. Without uttering another word, Nina scurried in that direction.
“Mrs. Sinclair,” Dean tried to stop her, “There is an important meeting going on.”
Nina acted as if she had turned deaf. She pushed the door and entered the dimly lit room. Several pictures were displayed on the projector.
Nina knew the place.
It was the most expensive property in Kanderton. White Palace.
But why were they discussing White Palace?
Before she could say a word, Delinda got up from her seat with a friendly smile, “Hello, Mrs. Sinclair. See! We are planning to go to the White Palace. It will be our venue. Like it?”
White Palace as a new Venue?
Marissa was getting on her nerves now. She was making important decisions in MSin. Without Nina’s permission, she dared to bring these employees back to the floor, and then according to Valerie, she was opening her legs for her son.
Pathetic girl!
“How dare you!” Nina dashed forward and her rude tone took Marissa by surprise. Before she could ask Nina what her problem was, Nina’s hand raised in the air to slap Marissa.
In a fraction of a second, Marissa understood what she was doing. So, she did what she had been dying to do, ever since she left Sangua city.
She not only held Nina’s arm, in mid-air but also twisted her arm behind her back, making her scream in pain. All the people sitting around the table got to their feet in terror.
“How dare you raise your hand, you old bitch!” Marissa snarled, taking Nina by surprise.
