Chapter 257: 257- I Love You!
The office door opened after a small buzzing sound and Marissa went inside, only to find Rafael talking to a group of suited men.
She closed the door behind her and walked to the couch.
“Alright, gentlemen!” Rafael nodded and got to his feet, “My wife is here so I need to discuss a few things with her.”
The executives greeted her with a smile, “Hello, Mrs. Sinclair.”
Marissa offered them a formal smile and kept it pasted until they left the office. The moment the door got closed, Rafael was beside her on the couch.
She didn’t even say anything and almost jumped at him.
Rafael laughed when she held his face and started leaving butterfly kisses there. His nose, his eyes, his forehead, his cheeks… there was no stopping.
“Little Greene,” he tried to speak but she shushed him by kissing his lips hard. It was better to stay silent and let her do whatever she wanted while holding her by her waist, squeezing tightly into him.
He waited for her patiently to get done with the kisses and stayed there with closed eyes.
“Do you know, I can do it further, right here on this couch if you don’t stop?”
Marissa who wasn’t able to control her lips, paused for a moment and then resumed the kissing again.
Rafael chuckled at his crazy wife and closed his eyes again. However, he forgot where he was when she started rubbing herself above his member.
“Marissa!” She liked it when her name was uttered with a gasp that had a hint of warning in it.
“Sorry!” at last she leaned her forehead against his and said breathlessly, “You taste so good, husband.”
“Ahan. So, dear wife! How about we make love here and nobody would know what’s going on in the President’s office!” Marissa still needed time to get used to the terms, wife and husband. Sitting on his thighs, she made a pout.
“We can’t. Peter needs to show me those mural designs.”
“Ah! Ok!” Did she hear disappointment in his voice?
He sat up on the couch, still holding her and Marissa poked her chin into his shoulder, her body leaning into him, “I need to spend loads of time with you, Rafael Sinclair,” Rafael looked down and found a sad look on her face, “I think we are so busy in the event thing that we don’t have time for each other.”
“Honey,” he kissed her head, “Why do you say that?” Marissa shrugged shaking her head.
She was again avoiding eye contact. He pinched her chin and made her look up, “I’m always here for you, Marissa Sinclair. You want to spend time with me? Just let me know. My time belongs to you.”
And your heart? She wanted to ask him but couldn’t.
She didn’t want to push him away. The suffocation could be overwhelming for both of them.
When Rafael left the couch, Marissa noticed his disheveled hair and wrinkled shirt. The thought that she was responsible for it was not only intense but overpowering too. She jerked back to reality when he threw something in her lap.
In confusion, she picked that up and inspected it. The console.
“Come on! One match!” he said with a challenging smirk. Marissa knew she would lose against him. Sophie always managed to defeat her.
He had selected Racer II and now was selecting the car model.
She reached over and clipped her front hair into the bun. A hundred percent attention was needed here.
She had promised herself to play just one game and then get back to her team. But then the game led to two more matches, and she managed to win, two out of three matches.
“Oh, my God! This is so easy!” she squealed in delight and Rafael looked sideways just to witness that happiness on her face.

“Next time just move the knob before the blind corner arrives,” he had been giving such tips throughout the game.
He didn’t want to admit it, but he was losing due to her presence. For him, she was the biggest distraction.
She whooped with delight when won this one, more easily. Rafael rolled his eyes. It wasn’t fair. He turned and placed his knee on the sofa, then swung his leg behind her.
“What are you doing, mister? Quitting?” Rafael settled himself behind her such that she was now sitting between his legs.
“I’m not a quitter, Mrs. Sinclair. Now watch me!” he planted a kiss on the nape of her neck and felt her body shiver.
There was a secret grin on his face. Now he could use the same trick on her and win.
However, in the middle of the game, his wife did realize what he was trying to do. She wiggled her hips a little, rubbing his crouch, sending those unexpected tingles coursing through him.
“What are you doing?” he asked her in a whisper and stopped controlling his car. As a result, she went ahead and claimed her victory.
“Nothing,” she leaned back innocently, “just trying to win the game and …”
“And?” he placed the console aside and wrapped his arms around her. He liked losing against her.
“Finish it, little Greene. What else are you trying to win?”
Marissa suddenly went quiet. There was tension in the air. They both stayed like this when there was a knock on the door.
It was supposed to be a single knock. The rule was not to enter and go back after a single knock.
After that, the intercom started ringing.
Rafael didn’t move an inch. Another rule was, not to dial the intercom again if the President was busy.
“I think it’s Dean,” Marissa whispered and bent her head, “this might be something important.” She didn’t dare to look behind.
Closing her eyes, she sighed when his hand did something to her hair bun. The heaviness of the bun on her neck dissolved when she felt the heavy tangles on her back. He had untied her hair and was now running his fingers through them.
“Nobody is coming inside. None of us is going anywhere until you finish what you just started, Strawberry.”
Marissa tried to stop her quivering lips, but a teardrop glided down her cheek.
“You said you are trying to win the game and… what else are you trying to win, Marissa?” his lips touched the nape after he moved her hair aside and Marissa had to close her eyes for a moment before she turned her head to look into his eyes.
He was taken aback by the tears on her face. Raising his hand, he wiped her cheeks gently, “Are there any more games you want to win?”
And then it dawned on Marissa. He was letting her win intentionally.
God! What was he doing to her?
“What else do I want to win, besides this game?” she decided to be bold.
It was now or never. It needed to get off her chest, “I… I want to win your heart…” she sobbed, “I could never tell you, but I want your heart, Rafael. I don’t know for how long I had feelings for you. They were there when you didn’t even know I existed. I noticed you the first time you came to pick someone up from school. Valerie approached you. And … I still remember… you were wearing a green polo shirt. Y-you looked so handsome… and… and I told myself what a good-looking man he is!” she chuckled through her tears and shook her head. Her lips were pursed into a thin line to stop herself from hiccupping.
“I … I love you, Rafael Sinclair. I love you so much.”
