Chapter 262: 262- Ariel’s Look Alike
Geena stood outside Rafael’s office, trying to gather enough courage to knock on the door. She bit her lip, as her hand hovered just inches away from knocking. She couldn’t find Dean on the floor otherwise she could have taken his help.
The good thing was that she saw Nina going out with Valerie; this was the golden chance to talk to Rafael.
She looked down at her hand holding the large Manila envelope with documents in it. The seconds felt like hours, and her nerves only worsened with every passing moment.
What if this is the wrong time?
What if he doesn’t like it and gets mad?
Just then a faint buzzing sound broke her thoughts, followed by a soft click. The door creaked open on its own.
Her eyes widened when she pushed the door a little and found Rafael Sinclair in his seat, with his fist under his chin, “What were you doing there? Waiting for a miracle to open the goddamn door?” his voice was dripping with sarcasm.
Ah! The glass walls of his office allowed him to see her, but she couldn’t see him.
She blinked, feeling the heat rising to her cheeks.
“I… I was… Dean is gone and…”
“Please come over,” he gestured towards the seat and moved his laptop aside.
She headed to his desk and handed over the envelope, “I have submitted the check and all my documents. This is the final document that needs to be signed.”
Rafael frowned regarding the document and Geena was aware of the reason, “I know Mr. Sinclair. I did mention to them that I was brought up in an orphanage. Still, they want a guardian name. I don’t have anyone. Maybe it’s because they want someone whom they can hold accountable if they aren’t getting semester fees. Ha-ha,” she tried to laugh it off, but Rafael didn’t make an issue out of it.
“Fine! Collect your document tomorrow morning, Geena,” it must be the first time he called her by her name.
She liked the sound of it from his mouth.
“Thank you, Mr. Sinclair,” she left the seat and scurried to the door. Today, for some reason she felt less scared than before.
Nobody knew that under this gruff exterior was a good man who might not like it when people tried to get closer to him.
And for his wife? He was the most gentle and mushy person.
“Are you coming to the event?” Rafael asked her when she had placed her hand on the door handle to twist it.
She slowly turned and found him leaning over a file, “Umm. I don’t know. Nina didn’t tell me anything about it.”
“Do come. Ask Dean to give one pass to you… and to your plus one, if you have any.”
Geena tried to smile but failed miserably, “S-sure… sure, Mr. Sinclair.”

“This is beautiful… awesome… this is love…” Nina had a bored expression when she heard Valerie singing praises for the place.
“This is a true palace, Nina. Why didn’t you tell me that it was this beautiful?” they were ushered here to this part of the house where the workers were carrying heavy boards to build a boundary for the event.
“Hello, Mrs. Sinclair,” Valerie’s smile vanished when she found Delinda heading towards her, “It’s good to see you here. Lovely weather!”
“Uh-huh. What is she doing here?” She asked through gritted teeth. Nina was having a problem hiding the smile.
She was finding it funny that Delinda was following Valerie everywhere like a little puppy.
“Hello, Delinda,” Valerie waved her fingers at her with a constipated look. Maybe Nina was right, and it was not a good decision to come here.

“Do you like the place?” Delinda asked her, spreading her arms and looking up towards the sky. To Valerie, it was a bit dramatic.
“Yeah. I like it,” Valerie said with a forced smile and then placed her hands on Delinda’s shoulders giving her a little shove, “You go and get done with your work. Until then I can talk to Nina about something. Right? Now go!” Delinda glanced at her in confusion and then moved back.
Before she could say anything, Valerie held Nina’s hand and scrolled past her. She wanted to enjoy the place and was in no mood for Delinda’s bullshit.

Abigail was standing in stunned silence when Marissa not only closed the window but pulled the little girl to her.
“No, Abi. Don’t open that window yet, baby,” she leaned her cheek against her head, “I’ll let you look outside once they are gone.”
Abi drew herself from her mom’s embrace and pointed outside, “Mom. I just saw a lady who looks exactly like Ariel!”
“Oh, mommy. She is right. That woman is Ariel’s look alike,” Alex ran inside, leaving Marissa stunned, “Ariel needs to see this!”
With a sinking heart, Marissa picked up Abi and watched through the glass wall. Nina and Valerie were talking secretly and then giggling.
What are they doing here?
Carrying Abi in her arms, she went to the intercom and dialed a number, “Security! What these women are doing here? One of them is wearing a pink skirt and the other is in a red shirt with black pants. Please take them out of my property. If they try to resist, then you are allowed to throw them out. They aren’t part of the event team.”
She saw a few guards approaching Nina and Valerie taking them by surprise. The guard said something, and Valerie and Nina tried to argue.
The event participants had stopped doing their tasks and were now watching them.
Valerie was now moving her hands in the air like a crazy bitch and was saying something loudly. The guard lifted her, holding her by the shoulders as if she were a tissue paper, and walked outside with Nina following them like a madwoman.
Marissa smiled and kept Abi’s head pressed to her shoulder. Thankfully when Alex returned with Ariel, the two filthy women had left the spot.
Poor Alex was trying to convince Ariel that her look alike was right there, while Marissa was grinning at the thought of the upcoming event.
She couldn’t wait to see the shock on their faces.
