Chapter 309: 309- She Wanted This Man!
Talia was returning home after having a good time with her friends. The only pub was right outside the village on a twenty-five minutes’ walk.
Her friends were still in that fun mode and didn’t want to come out of it.
“How is the handsome Tom, Talia?” Her friend Nadine asked her, and Talia tried to suppress the grin. They used to find excuses to ask her about him.
Even the teenage boys were jealous of him.
“Tom is good, Nadine,” She muttered, picking up a twig from the ground. Ever since she had turned eighteen, she wanted to do something big.
No guy could grab her attention in such a way. They used to call her Ice Queen for keeping herself safe for her one and only.
But now with Tom’s presence in the house, she was almost giving up on her promise. Her friends tried to convince her to give up this old idea and start enjoying her life. Before Tom, she was not very convinced.
All the kids of Ashua village used to study in a school but two years back the flood destroyed everything. School, hospital, and her mom.
Only five human lives were lost, and her mom was one of them. The villagers did try to build back the hospital, but they couldn’t do anything about the school due to lack of funds.
Those who could afford, got their kids enrolled in the school of the neighborhood village. Her village was known as Ashua due to being close to Ashua Lake.
“I wish he could crush me beneath him,” Aan said dreamily. The man had been on her mind since he started exercising in front of Talia’s house. The way he used to ignore them, only added more to his magnetic personality.
“Behave yourself!” Talia giggled. She felt giddy that the handsome stranger was living under her roof.
“What does he usually talk about?” Nadine asked her fondly. She needed to know more about Tom.
“Nothing special,” Talia shrugged with a faint smile, “He just tells me how captivating and how beautiful he finds my eyes.”
Aan and Nadine stopped dead instead of moving forward, “Don’t tell me,” Aan groaned in jealousy, “he likes your eyes! And what am I? Blind?”
Talia and Nadine started laughing like two maniacal souls.
“Shut up! How dare he never noticed my eyes,” Aan was still grumbling, and Talia and Nadine kept cracking jokes about her eyes.
“My friend!” Nadine placed her arm around Aan’s shoulders, “Let me tell you one thing that your parents always hid from you.”
Talia noticed how Aan was knitting her brows in that cute way.
Nadine took her mouth closer to Aan’s, “My friend. You are squinted!”
Nadine stood straight-faced while poor Aan was still trying to process what she just said. Talia sniffled the sudden laughter by placing her hand over her mouth but then Aan gave her a death glare.
“Am I squinted?” Talia started stepping back while shaking her head. The plan was to shout the words, ‘Yes you are’ and run inside her house when she came to an abrupt halt.
“Tell me! Am I squinted?” Aan spoke again but now she had turned invisible to Talia. Right outside her house, her father’s bicycles were propped against the wall.
Tall and proud.
She ran towards it, forgetting about her friends and their teasing.
“Who brought them back!” she asked more to herself. Her friends also followed her.
“What happened, Talia?” Nadine asked her, coming after her.
“My father’s bicycles… they are back!” she was touching them like her beloved pet was handed back to her.
“Are these the same ones…” Aan trailed off when saw Talia nodding her head, her eyes were welled up with tears.

“Yes. These are the same ones. But who brought them back?” she brushed her hand on the handlebars of the bicycle.
None of them was ready for the heavy deep voice that suddenly rumbled from behind them, startling the girls, “I did!”
All of them spun around in surprise. He was standing in the doorway with his muscled arms folded on his chest, “I brought them back.”
This was the first time, Aan and Nadine saw him smiling. No, it was just a side smirk.
Aan was having confusion if she should focus on the bulge of his bicep muscles or the small dimple near the corner of his mouth when he smiled.
“B-but how?” Talia asked him.
This was the first time in so many months she was talking to him like they had been friends for a long time.
“He committed to work in that shop without any money,” her father said, coming out of the house, “I was just telling him that this is slavery, but he is adamant that he wants to work for him in return for these.”
He gestured towards those bicycles. Everyone could see how misty-eyed he was.
“Thank you, Tom,” Talia told him sincerely, “Thank you for making my father happy. If you…” she had to pause to overcome her emotions, “If you need anything please let me know.”
He just bobbed his head, keeping his gaze down. At that time, Talia wanted only one thing. She wanted him to look at her.
She was turning away to talk to her friends when she heard Tom behind her, “Actually… I do want you to do something for me.”
With an uncertain smile, she tilted her head to eye him. The best thing was that her friends were there and the lie she spoke, just minutes back, now seemed convincing.
“I want you to make that strawberry sauce for me again,” he said with a sheepish grin, “I loved it.”
That same odd feeling returned…
He seemed to belong to a good family, and she was sure, soon they would be knocking on their door to take him back.
Right that moment she took her decision and looked at her friends. Tom had gotten busy chatting with her father.
“Girls!” she whispered, “I’ve decided,” her both friends leaned in to hear her better, “I’ll give my virginity to him.”
Her friend seemed taken aback but Talia seemed happy with the decision. She wanted this man.
