Chapter 318: 318- Goodbyes
Mala was preparing a small bag for his stuff while Talia was busy controlling her tears, “He is leaving. At last, he is leaving, Mala,” she wiped her tears, but more were falling down her cheeks, “Why they decided to come here? They should have gone anywhere else.”
“Didn’t I warn you about this?” Mala asked Talia and then looked at the castle that they made together.
Mala didn’t know when she could meet her friend again. He was not a common man but a business guru.
How come they didn’t get it? How did they not see it? His every move, every stride was enough to prove that he belonged to no upper-middle class or upper class.
He was from the elite lot.
Though she was sad, deep down she was also happy for him. His family could spend money to bring back his memory if he was rich. Or maybe he would remember everything once he met them.
“Talia. Do you want to put that strawberry sauce in his bag?” Mala asked her but Talia showed as if she had turned deaf.
“Come on, girl. We both know he doesn’t belong here. Be happy for him,” Talia moved her face sideways with a stubborn tilt.
Whatever was being discussed outside the room, they could hear it.
“Girls. Is his bag ready?” John came inside to inquire about the bag. Though Alex aka Rafael did tell them that he didn’t want to take anything, John wanted to make sure to send him with a proper bag.
They might be poor, but they weren’t lacking in pride, kindness, generosity, and values.
Mala held Talia’s hand to drag her out. They needed to say goodbye to Alex.

Ethan was having a hard time while following this up. Rafael was calling himself Alex and he thought Geena was Giana.
And Geena?
Instead of correcting him, she not only agreed but also accepted that she was Giana.
Rafael and Geena both seemed to have gone crazy.
“I’m still reluctant to let him go just like that. He was stabbed,” John who was sitting on the wooden stool waved his hand, “What if you two are the ones who killed him?”
Geena appreciated his care but after seeing Rafael, it was the only chance to prove to Marissa that she was innocent.
Once she would hand over Rafael to her then they all could figure it out among themselves. John wasn’t wrong.
The murderer won’t stop if he or she will find him alive again.
“Check our ID cards,” Geena suggested, “Check our ID cards or you are welcome to accompany us. He is needed at his home. His wife and his kids think that he is dead.”
They were discussing this in the open area of the house while Alex was intensely focused on his punching bag, each strike showing his simmering rage.
“Listen, John. The police have closed the investigation because the killer was found badly injured at the crime scene. But Alex’s family has doubts,” Geena held her forehead while pacing around.
One of John’s daughters was observing Rafael worriedly as if he was her husband, that’s why Geena thought to repeat the words, “As I said… he is married and the father of triplet kids. Two girls, one boy. Alex is his son’s name.”
The younger girl who was chewing her lip, glanced up, “What are their ages?”
“They must be somewhere around six,” Geena said with a shrug. Mala was bobbing her head like now she understood.
“That was why he kept treating us like little girls,” she said somberly and ignored the glare Talia aimed at her.

Geena held Ethan’s hand and pulled him outside, “We need to take help.”
“Help for what?”
“Silly. His kids must be at home. We can’t barge in just like that. Someone sane enough should know how to tell kids about their father. They got traumatized when they were informed about his death and now this will be another shock for their mental health.”
Ethan didn’t understand what alien language she was speaking. They had found Rafael who didn’t remember anything and here Geena was talking about kids’ trauma.
Trauma comes with losses. Not with gains. Right?
Things or people coming back to one’s life shouldn’t be traumatic.
“They all need to be there, I mean all the adults,” she told Ethan, “You are the only one who can convince Valerie to be there at Marissa’s palace.”
“For the love of…” Ethan looked up to find that bird who dropped its shit on his shirt. The day could be anything but a lucky day.
“You don’t understand, Ethan. One of them is the killer. We can’t handpick his well-wishers. Whoever is the culprit, will attempt to kill him again.”
“Ah! Women!” he muttered under his breath that Geena couldn’t hear.
He was here to enjoy Ashua village with her and now this man appeared out of nowhere.
Geena and Ethan said their goodbyes and then waited for Rafael to meet the family who treated him like their own.
“Thank you for taking care of me, John,” Rafael hugged the man who was misty-eyed. However, they all were surprised when Rafael said that he would come back.
“Why?” Geena couldn’t stop herself.
“Maybe he wants to get us admitted to a good school,” Mala said mischievously, and Rafael smiled at her.
“Or I might construct one here so that children don’t have to go away from the place,” he ruffled Mala’s hair and then turned to Talia, “You are much more than a girl who is born to cook strawberry syrup or pop out kids. Marriage is good. Loving someone isn’t bad at all. But having your own vision is best.”
Talia didn’t understand what he was telling her. The pain that he was leaving them was too much. Mala also had tears, but she was happy that her friend was going back to his family.
She would miss him in all the activities they used to do together. They were expecting that he must be a well-educated man who had money.
But none of them had the idea that he was a loaded guy and was the owner of MSin.
Rafael waved at them when sat in the passenger seat. The family had walked them to the car to say their goodbyes.
