Chapter 341: 341- Several Years Ago

Several years ago:

(When Nina was young and married in Sinclair’s family)

Nina gave a wicked smile to the handsome man who just gave her a body massage. He also did some naughty things and Nina didn’t mind.

Why should she?

She liked being with handsome men.

Two years ago, her parents made her marry an ugly man whom she never liked. He gave her a beautiful giant house, a lavish lifestyle, and loved her madly.

For her, he threatened his father Miles Sinclair to leave everything if he didn’t get Nina for himself. His father tried to warn him that Nina was a gold digger, but the man was adamant about marrying her.

They got married and were living a happy life when Nina suddenly realized he wasn’t as handsome as she had seen the other men while moving in his circle.

Shane Sinclair was a good man but not gorgeous. She didn’t want to live with him like this and sleeping beside him was getting out of the question.

“I need you, sweetheart. Tell me what I should do to make you happy!” he used to plead with her and was willing to do anything to keep her happy.

But for Nina, this wasn’t enough. The fire was missing in the marriage, and she didn’t want to sleep beside him anymore.

“Go and sleep with other women!” she suggested with a shrug, taking Shane by surprise.

“You must be a fool to suggest that Nina,” he was finding it hard to recover from the shock. But Nina had made up her mind.

She didn’t even stay there to notice his pain. She flipped her freshly blow-dried hair and left the house for a kitty party.

She never knew what a kitty party was until she married Shane. In her gatherings, people used to praise her for her beauty but at her back they used to crack jokes about her husband’s ugliness.

All of this had started taking a toll on her mental health. She met Gabriel at a club who was there to drop his sister.

He fell for Nina at first glance and Nina couldn’t believe her luck. He was a handsome hunk who knew how to dress and carry himself.

They started meeting secretly until Nina proposed marriage to him.

“Are you a fool, Nina?” Gabriel asked her in a mocked tone as they lay in bed, in a hotel room, tucked under the blanket not wearing anything.

“Why?” she straightened, clutching the covers to her chest, “Am I good to sleep with, make love with but not suitable enough to be your wife?”

Seeing her mad, made him go silent. He also sat up and lit a cigarette, “Did you hit your head somewhere, Nina? Do you remember your last name? Your surname?”

Nina tossed the pillow on the floor and took the cigarette from his hand, “I know my surname and can always take divorce.”

She said after taking a puff, but he snatched the cigarette back from her hand, “It’s not that easy. I can’t afford to become a business rival to Shane. Miles Sinclair started the business, but Shane is a wizard who can do miracles. Everything he touches doesn’t turn into gold but diamond. He is magic. I can’t take risks.”

Nina didn’t like it. The man she had fallen for, couldn’t take chances for her?

“Don’t you love me?” she asked him, and he laughed again.

“Of course I do. But what will I do with you if I don’t have enough money? Because after marrying you, I would be banned from entering Sinclair properties.”

Nina punched another pillow in frustration. She wasn’t liking it.

In movies, they always showed that heroes left everything for their girls. That was what true love was supposed to be.

Why couldn’t Gabriel do it?

That night in bed, Shane again wanted intimacy, and this time she snubbed him.

“Can’t you take no for an answer?” she retorted haughtily when he was trying to insert his hand in her blouse.

Being a gentleman, he never forced himself on her but now he was having a hard time suppressing his needs.

“Darling. What is it?” he asked the question again, “Why don’t you want me? I don’t want to fulfill my needs from the outside. I want…”

“I want… I want… I want…” she started screaming like a crazy little bitch, “Your every sentence starts with your wants… what about my wants… my needs.”

Shane was taken aback by her rude attitude, “What are your wants, Nina? Tell me?” he asked her, this time slightly raising his voice, “You have got everything. It’s you, I am earning for. It’s you, I’m making money for.”

Nina laughed like a mad, crazy woman, shaking her head, “For me? No. You’re doing it for yourself. Don’t pin this on me.”

She picked up her pillow from the bed and threw it on the couch. Shane raised his arm questioningly gesturing her what did it mean.

With a shrug, Nina lay down, “I told you. I don’t want you. I have asked you several times to go out and satisfy your needs. You’re rich. Any woman will come to you without a word. Easy peasy for both of us.”

Before he could protest, she had pulled up the covers to her forehead and went to sleep. She was now getting sick of this situation.

Gabriel needed to do something otherwise she might die from all the mental stress.

The next morning, she didn’t want to see his face but didn’t want any drama in front of the servants.

“Are you two mad at each other?” Miles Sinclair asked them at the dining table. They both seemed reserved and withdrawn.

Nina had been like that, but Shane always came to the dining table with a smiling face.

“We are good, Dad,” Shane tried to satisfy his dad, but Miles was looking at him with his hawk-like gaze.

“Ok!” he shrugged but his eyes were now on Nina when he started speaking, “By the way, we need to attend a party this weekend. You both need to be there as a couple.”

Nina despised such parties where she was expected to be beside her ugly husband all the time.

“Is it necessary to go there?” she asked her father-in-law who instead of answering her, had started eating his bread with a naughty grin.
