Chapter 377: 377- Delinda Was On Time
Nina was no different than Valerie. Valerie was a mini version of her. Lying on the small bunk of her cell, Nina’s whole life kept revolving before her eyes.
She married Shane because she wanted wealth.
She cheated on Shane because she wanted a gorgeous face. Then Gabriel walked into her life, which taught her that she deserved both.
Wealth and a handsome man.
Gabriel might be living off his father-in-law’s business, but he was the one who multiplied the business shares and brought it close to Shane’s.
Naila’s family needed him for their benefit as he was not just a pretty face. Naila didn’t have a brother, so her parents heavily depended on Gabriel.
Nina wanted everything in life.
The wealth she was crazy about belonged to Miles and then it went to Shane. She thought that after Shane she would be the owner as they didn’t have kids.
But no.
Sheila was the mom of Sinclair’s heir. Alexander Sinclair.
Nina started visiting Sheila and they became friends. From the outside, she used to show off her beauty and class but inside she used to despise the simple girl who was a perfect blonde and had Shane’s heart.
Nina got obsessed with the blonde girls.
She only wanted a blonde daughter-in-law who could give her a blonde child. That was when Valerie came into the picture.
That was the reason she could never accept Marissa as her daughter-in-law. Her sick mind only wanted a blonde beside her son.
For her, it was just the game of power. She wanted a girl who could dance on her fingertips but after all these years Marissa had become stable. She was running her own business, and Nina couldn’t afford to look worse in her son’s eyes.
After the event, she asked Rafael to accompany her near the waterfall that was at the far end of Kanderton City.
Rafael didn’t want to meet her as he was busy arranging a surprise for Marissa.
But Nina didn’t want to spare him this time, “You said you’d talk to me after the event. You’ve been ignoring me for quite some time, son.”
They went near the waterfall to talk and then all hell broke loose.
“How dare you! How dare you got her pregnant, Rafael!” she demanded him, “Valerie was your wife. Not Marissa!”
“You sent Marissa, Mom,” he reminded her softly, “You made her my wife. You sent her to my room as my wife. What were you expecting me to do? Become a saint?” he asked her with a smirk, “Don’t you think that the time for asking such silly questions has run out? Now this is my turn, and you need to tell me what is going on. Why did you keep playing with my life, Mom?”
Nina couldn’t utter a single word. Due to his earlier memory wiped out, he didn’t get the chance to ask her about his childhood.
But he couldn’t digest the fact that his mom made him marry Marissa and then jilted her after his eye operation.
“She is not only my wife but also the mom of my kids. She is the love of my life, and I can’t live without her.”
His open acceptance of his love for Marissa sent Nina’s heart into turmoil.
“No, son!” she went to him and tried holding his face in her palms, but he wasn’t a baby anymore. She couldn’t throw him in a dark room again without food and water. This trick wouldn’t work on him any longer.
“You are married to Valerie. If you don’t like her then fine. I’ve found another girl for you. She is also blonde…”
“Stop it, Mom,” he screamed, “I’m not interested in any blonde. I love Marissa and I would only stay with her!”
Nina went to him and held his collar, “So first I had to work hard on you to get all the wealth. And when I thought all my struggles came to an end, you came up with a bunch of triplets! Now I again have to wait a lifetime until they grow up and let me enjoy Sinclair’s wealth. Hmm?”

“What are you saying?” he looked at her face with a frown, “What do you mean by waiting a lifetime? I’m your son and they are your grandkids…”
She shook her head and started laughing like a maniac, “You’re my son? You must be out of your fu*ckin mind!” her freaky laughter had left him speechless, “You. Were. Never. My. Son!” she spoke each word through gritted teeth, “You are not my son. Nor are they, my grandkids!”
Rafael was standing there in stunned silence. What did she mean by that? He wasn’t her son? Then who was he? Who was she to him?
“Y-You adopted me?” he asked in a whisper and a cold smirk appeared on Nina’s lips when she started bobbing her head.
“No. I didn’t. You were born out of wedlock!” he was baffled by her words, “Your father was in love with his mistress and then when they died, I had to take care of you,” crocodile tears started streaming down her face, “I raised you as my own and see what you did! You hid your kids from me.”
Rafael was still trying to grasp the reality. Nina wasn’t his real mother. He stood there chewing his lower lip like a six-year-old when the first time Nina talked to him in a lovey-dovey way before throwing him into that dark, empty room.
She was enjoying the confused expressions dancing on his face.
Taking him by surprise, she went to him and hugged him tight, “I’m sorry,” her muffled voice came near his chest, “But I must do this. After you, it will be your kids’ turn.”
Before he could ask her, he felt a sharp pain near his belly. With a shocked face, he looked down and found his white shirt soaked in red blood.
Nina spun around when heard a gasp behind her, “Mrs. Sinclair!”
Delinda was standing with a stunned expression, covering her mouth with her palms. Without giving a damn, Nina turned back to Rafael and stabbed at the same spot again until it took a familiar triangular shape.
Her favorite shape!
Just like she killed Naila and Shane. This was how she killed Sheila too.
Rafael was ready to drop to the ground any minute, but Nina used all her willpower to hold him and push him over the waterfall.
“Mrs. Sinclair. No! Oh My God!” Poor Delinda was rooted to the spot in shock. Nina turned back and a sick smile graced her lips, “I’m sorry, Delinda. But you’re next, darling. Because you see? I must be at MSin Palace so that Marissa and her triplet puppies can serve as my witnesses. The police should know that I was at the palace when this murder happened.”
Delinda raised her arms to keep herself safe, “I’m sorry… I’m sorry Marissa… I was a jerk not to trust you…” she was now crying, “Oh, my Georgie! Who will look after him?”
Nina wanted to laugh at Delinda’s muttering, but she didn’t have time to enjoy this. Delinda was just on time and was a perfect candidate to pin this murder on.
