Chapter 491: 491- Hell
“I don’t remember much. When I woke up, I was in a container along with some other adults. I was the only child in that container,” Aniya told her parents. She was in their bedroom, lying on the bed.
Just like Rafael used to do in her childhood. She was their only child who slept in their bed the maximum times.
“If you want, you don’t need to tell this and suffer, darling,” Marissa gently brushed her hair with her fingers. Both the ladies were leaning onto Rafael’s chest, and Rafael Sinclair thought he was dreaming.
Abigail Sinclair was back in their lives. She was never dead.
“Now when I think of it… all those people in the container … They looked like refugees… I think they were using illegal means to migrate to another country. We traveled for several days in that container without sunlight or any wind…” Aniya didn’t tell them that she kept puking throughout the travel.
But she forgot that they were her parents.
“You never liked such travels,” Rafael remarked and kissed her head, “Not even in your childhood.”
“Sweetheart!” Marissa cupped her cheek, “Shouldn’t you be sleeping by now?”
Aniya shook her head and held Rafael’s hand that was holding her, “I don’t want to sleep,” she said with a pout and kissed her father’s hand. The same way when she was a kid, “I want to talk to you people… there are so many things I want to share…”
I want to share how he pushed me when he wanted to ra*pe me and how Valerie accepted him with open arms. I expected better from her.
I want to share how your daughter didn’t back down and butchered his tongue. I wish I could cut it off.
I want to share that I got some amazing friends who helped your daughter and tried to save her from a marriage where I was sold to the groom.
I want you to look for my friends who are no longer in contact with me.
There are so many things I want to share, Daddy.
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Rafael asked her, “You knew when we met. Right? Why didn’t you say anything?”
Aniya smirked and raised her eyes, only to find Marissa looking at her. There was a constant smile on her face.
“I don’t know, Daddy,” she shrugged, “I was being a fool. I wanted you to recognize me and tell me that all this time, you all were waiting for me. But I got confused because all of you had moved on. Later, I got to know that you thought I was dead.”
Marissa rubbed her hand over Aniya’s arm, “We don’t want to talk about your past and bring back all your bad memories. We can’t see you going through that trauma again, Abi. But…”
Aniya looked at her mother’s face with a frown, “But?”
“We need to know… how Valerie treated you.”
“Strawberry!” Rafael tried to stop Marissa, but she raised her face to let him see the anguish in her eyes, “Just this once, Rafael. I promise.”
Rafael sighed and then nodded his head before kissing his wife’s head, “Okay.”
“They never treated me right,” Rafael closed his eyes in pain when he heard his daughter’s words.
The same old Valerie. What could be expected of her?
She could go too far to get what she wanted.
“Alaric James used to work for us as a security guard,” Marissa told her and then pinched her chin, “Don’t worry. Rafael and I are not going to spare any of them.”
Aniya straightened and started fixing her hair, “Really? And what will you do to them?”
“You don’t need to think about it anymore, princess,” Rafael assured her, “You are now with us, and no one can hurt even a hair on your body.”
Aniya shook her head, “I had to run from there because they fixed my marriage against my will, Daddy.”
That got Rafael’s full attention. There was a bewildered look on his face, “They did what?”

Aniya nodded and then exhaled a long breath, “My name was Aniya James, and my friends helped me to change it so that they could never find me. I … came here because I thought Sangua was a place I could know about my past… All these years, I didn’t have any memory of my childhood or my family.”
Rafael closed his eyes. He still remembered how Nina tried contacting him from jail and warned him about Valerie.
“You need to be on high alert, Rafael. She is planning to do something bad to our babies,” But Rafael had ignored her warnings and placed the phone quietly on the cradle, thinking that she was trying to get to his head.
If only he had heard her and taken her seriously, then none of it would have happened.
His grip tightened around his daughter and wife. After so many years, he and Marissa would be getting a long, peaceful sleep.
Staring at the ceiling, he kept thinking about his revenge.
I swear I’ll make sure that you two do NOT end up in jail. Do you know why? You don’t deserve to live. You two deserve to die.
You took away my baby and expect me to do nothing? I’ll teach you a lesson, Valerie. I’ll make sure that you rot in hell while taking your last breath, and I promise that won’t be an easy death.
His face had turned intense and brutal while thinking of that woman who gave him hell and took away a piece of his heart.
The vile woman tried to do it twice. First it was his wife and then his daughter.
He looked down and found Abigail and Marissa sleeping in his arms.
“Don’t worry, ladies,” he kissed their heads one by one, “I was mistaken when I thought I’d let them rot in hell. Nah! I’ll make their lives a living hell. They would pray for death. They would beg for death. But the death won’t come to them.”
