Chapter 508: 508- Behind The Pillow
Without bothering to look back, George scooped her up and scurried to the house, “Guide me to your room, sweetheart.”
Rafael heard him saying but couldn’t move from there.
“What the…,” he looked at his wife in confusion, and then his focus shifted to Ariel who was standing there with a nervous smile playing on her lips.
“Ariel? Can you explain this?”
Alex must have realized his sister’s nervousness that’s why he placed his arm around her shoulder.
“Dad! Mom!” Ariel rushed to explain, “They both were involved even before Abi came back to us… she thought that George and I were romantically involved and was not ready to listen to him…” She ran a shaky hand through her hair, “So we did this… and I guess it backfired…” Her throat tightened as guilt settled in, “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to hurt anyone… and I swear I can never even imagine hurting her.”
Alex had to move away from his sister when Angela stood too close to him.
Instead of asking any further questions, Rafael nodded and started walking to his room silently. His wife followed him to the room, closing the door softly behind her.
“Rafael?” Marissa called him gently, watching in concern as he sat on the edge of the bed, his elbows on his knees. His hands were clasped together.
He didn’t respond to his wife’s voice which was quite rare.
Marissa stepped closer and dipped down near his feet, “Rafael… hey… talk to me.”
Still nothing.
Marissa sighed and placed her hands on his knees, but he remained still.
The silence stretched until finally, a lump formed in her throat.
“She just came back to us,” he muttered in a strained voice.
Marissa didn’t know what to make of it.
Rafael’s shoulders rose and fell with a deep breath, but when he spoke again, he sounded broken.
“We searched for her for so long, Marissa … only to be told that she is dead. And now—” He clenched his fists, “Now when she is back into our lives, she will marry George?” His cracked voice was enough to tell Marissa that he was in immense pain.
Before he could stop himself, he buried his face in his hands, “She is too young for marriage, Marissa.”
Marissa’s heart ached at the sight. She sat beside him on the bed, wrapping her arms around his shaking frame.
“I know, honey. I know she’s still our little girl,” she whispered, rubbing his back.
He let out a shaky breath, his hands now rubbing his knees anxiously, “I just got her back. I don’t know if I’m ready to let her go.”
Marissa pressed a soft kiss to his temple, “Getting married doesn’t mean that we are letting her go, sweetheart. She will, always be our first love,”
He turned to her for the hug, she was offering, “We should be happy that she has found true love at such a young age. A good partner supports you, no matter what you want to achieve in life. Just like you supported me, Rafael. They both are lucky that they have found each other and realized it earlier,” she drew in a sharp breath before she continued, “I’m sure, George will take good care of her. Hmm?”
Like a baby, Rafael nodded against her shoulder, his arms coming around her as he held on to the only person in his life who had been his constant support in every thick and thin.
His love and his wife. Marissa Sinclair.

George placed her gently on the bed, but the moment he loosened his hold, she pushed at his chest with trembling hands.
“Y-you made a fool out of me!” her voice cracked as fresh tears welled up in her eyes. Before he could say something, she balled her fists and started punching his chest.
George caught her wrists gently, his one knee on the mattress, his thumb tracing over her skin, “In my life, you’re the only one and you’ll always be the only one for me,” he murmured, pressing a lingering kiss to her damp cheek.

She shook her head and tried to fight him after freeing her hands, but he only pulled her closer, kissing the trail of her tears.
“What are you doing?” she whispered when saw him swiping his tongue over her lips to taste those tears.
His eyes raised to meet hers, “I mean it, sweetheart. There was never anyone else. Never will be. Who told you that I’m involved with Ariel?”
“I thought… I thought… I saw her that day and she has been calling you her boyfriend… so I thought… I was being a home wrecker.”
George chuckled, holding her face, “No, silly. You are not a home wrecker. Ariel and I are buddies. We gave emotional support to each other when you went missing,” he kissed another tear drop from her cheek, “We both stayed beside each other like a rock when we received your… your…”
“Death news?” she finished it for him when he couldn’t say it.
“Yeah. That…” he brought his face dangerously close to hers, “You are the only one, Abi. Since childhood. I love you, sweetheart.”
Abigail opened her mouth to say something, but her throat tightened as he captured her lips in a slow, aching kiss. His warmth melted away her resistance,
“You’re a liar,” she whispered against his mouth.
After all, she had to say something. She couldn’t give in this easily before him.
He kissed her again, deeper this time, pouring everything he was feeling into it, “Then give me a chance to prove you wrong, darling. I’ll happily do it all my life.”
Abigail let out a shaky breath, her fingers gripping his shirt, “You’re impossible, George Donovan.”
George chuckled against her lips, pressing soft and teasing kisses at the corner of her mouth.
“That’s not what you used to say when we were kids. You called me your knight in shining Armor. Remember?”
She shook her head, still not ready to give up, “I also called you a pest.”
“Umm hmm,” He nipped at her lower lip, grinning as she gasped, “Tell me, sweetheart. Do you still consider me a pest?”
Abigail tried to glare at him, but he stole another kiss, making her giggle instead, “Yes,” she rolled her eyes, “the most persistent one.”
She didn’t know why she was so breathless.
“Well! Pests usually don’t do this,” before she could understand, he got up and then suddenly scooped her up from the mattress and started twirling her in his arms.
Abigail clutched his t-shirt tightly, not believing what he was doing.
“George!” her eyes went wide, and she couldn’t even shout.
He fell back on the bed with her and both of them started laughing.
She smacked his shoulders between giggles, “What was that? We are not kids anymore.”
“Ahan. Really?” he grinned, pulling her and capturing her lips again, “When I’m with you, Abigail Sinclair then all I want to do is make you laugh,” his voice had dropped to a whisper.
Abigail laughed again into his kiss. Her fingers threaded through his hair, “Then don’t stop.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it, love,” he captured her mouth hungrily. Abigail moaned into his mouth, and he rolled over, making her lie beneath him.
As they lost themselves in another deep kiss, a sudden knock on the door made them jolt.
Abigail gasped, pushing lightly against George’s chest while he let out a frustrated groan, resting his forehead against hers.
The knock came again, louder this time.
“George Donovan,” Ariel’s voice was sharp from the other side, “We all know that you are in love with my sister, but right now you need to leave.”
Abi stifled a giggle because right now her sister sounded like a strict hostel warden. George however groaned again, giving Abigail a helpless look.
“Abi. I don’t want to go,” he whispered, pouting slightly.
She shrugged with an amused smile and wrapped her arms around his neck to kiss his lips, “Ariel is right, George,” she murmured, “Go. My dad or Alex might kill you.”
George exhaled in exasperation, clearly reluctant. He still didn’t move, his hands cupping Abigail’s boob before letting her feel his hardness.
He wished he could steal another moment.
“George!” Ariel gave another warning from outside.
Rolling his eyes, he quickly pulled away but not before brushing a quick kiss against Abi’s lips. He adjusted his trousers, sighing in defeat.
I hope no one sees my hard cock!
Abigail rolled her lips between her teeth when she heard him grumbling.
George headed to the door and opened it.
Ariel was standing there with her arms crossed, “Gosh! Look at you! Took you long enough.”
George leaned against the doorframe, smirking, “Are you planning to report me or something?”
Ariel narrowed her eyes, “Don’t forget. My father and Alex can be more brutal than the police. I won’t be able to guarantee your survival.”
George turned to look at Abi, who was still sitting on the bed with a bright red face.
“Sweetheart. Won’t you stop me?” he asked her, but Abigail had seen the amusement in his eyes.
“My sister is right,” Abi shrugged with a teasing smile, “You should leave, I guess.”
George didn’t respond to her. He just gave her one last longing glance, “Will I get any reward for obeying you?”
Urgh. He was asking for another kiss.
Ariel scoffed, “Your reward is staying alive. Now move it, Romeo.”
Abigail bit her lip to keep herself from smiling as George shot her one last grin before finally stepping out of her room, leaving both the sisters laughing.
“Ariel Sinclair. You are cruel!” he remarked before walking away.
Ariel just flipped her hair playfully over her shoulder and then squeezed her eyes before getting inside her sister’s room and locking it behind her.
“Don’t you dare say, you are feeling sleepy, Abigail Sinclair. I want all the details of what happened here on this bed.”
Abigail couldn’t bear it and hid her face behind the pillow. She didn’t think she could face her family after that night.
