Chapter 509: 509- Spotted Aniya In Sangua
As Abigail adjusted the strap of her handbag before entering the grand lobby of Star Corps, a small smile was playing on her lips.
It had been two months since the announcement that she and George were in love with each other. Thankfully her parents had come around the idea and accepted it with open hearts. Thanks to Ariel and Alex who counseled them a lot.
Now with them busy in university, she used to get bored at home. Because of her, her parents had moved most of their business to Sangua temporarily.
They didn’t want to miss any moment of spending time with her, nor did they want to force her to live in Kanderton.
Rafael took more time to adjust that his daughter couldn’t make a career and now wanted to marry at this young age.
Thankfully George showed immense patience in dealing with him. He understood that Rafael and Marissa were being possessive about Abi but so was he.
He couldn’t imagine his life without her so he assured them that he would support her in all the choices she would make in life.
Looking around her, Abigail’s smile widened. This was the same building she used to clean and scrub… and now?
She chuckled.
She barely made it past the lobby’s waiting area when a tall security guard stepped in her path, holding up a hand, “Miss. Do you have an appointment?”
“No. But I’m here to see George Donovan,” she told him with a confident smile but cursed under her breath.
Damn you, Abi. Who asked you to surprise him, without doing your homework?
The guard gave her a skeptical look. Before she could say anything else, a receptionist slowed down who was passing by, eyeing Abigail with recognition before tilting her head, “Wait a sec!” she narrowed her eyes, “Aren’t you one of our cleaners?”
Abigail blinked, her smile fading, “No, … I… umm…”
“You really can’t be here,” the receptionist said with fake politeness, “This is a restricted area for visitors who are here without appointments.”
Abigail tried to keep her heartbeat and her voice calm. In the last two months, her family and George worked very hard on her self-esteem and confidence.
Today she mustered a lot of courage to come here just to surprise him.
“I understand,” she smiled, “But if you just call George, he’ll confirm—”
“I’m sorry, ma’am… but we’ll have to ask you to leave,” the guard interrupted, his tone still professional but firm.
Abigail’s heart sank in frustration.
Why were they not listening? She didn’t want to cause a scene.
Just as she was about to fish for her phone in her handbag and call George directly, a familiar voice cut through the air, “Let her through!”
Abigail was pleasantly surprised when she saw Mrs. Eileen standing there with that stern face. The Guard and receptionist had stiffened due to her presence.
The older woman gave her head a small nod before setting her gaze to the staff, “Miss Sinclair is here to see George Donovan. Let her go to his office. She is family.”
The receptionist paled slightly, “What! Oh. She resembles a cleaner… Shit…” she was stammering badly, “I … I didn’t know…”
“Now you do!” Mrs. Eileen raised a brow, and Abigail could detect the warning in her tone.
The guard immediately stepped aside, mumbling an apology.
With a relieved smile, Abigail turned to Mrs. Eileen, “Thank you.”
The older woman studied her for a moment before responding with a knowing smile, “No need to thank me, Abigail. I always knew that you were special to him.”
Mrs. Eileen gave her a gentle pat on the shoulder before walking away, leaving her speechless.

Thankfully George’s new PA didn’t stop her and just smiled when she passed her desk.
The moment she stepped into George’s office, the door barely clicked shut before she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her waist.
She squealed in surprise as George pulled her into a corner, pressing her against the wall with a boyish grin.
“Shit, George. It was supposed to be a surprise!” she made a pout, “Who informed you? Mrs. Eileen?”
“I have got connections, sweetheart,” he murmured, his lips dangerously close to hers.
Abigail tried to suppress her giggle, placing her hands on his chest, “Yes, but last I checked, this is your office, Mr. Donovan.”
He hooked his index finger on the diamond necklace that he gifted her just one week back, “And?” he asked her with a smirk.
“And someone can walk in…” she whispered, biting her lip to stop the laughter bubbling up in her throat as he leaned closer.
“Hmm,” he pretended to consider her words, brushing his nose against hers, “But I don’t see anyone…”
“George—” her words broke into another giggle when he kissed the corner of her mouth, with those feather-light and teasing kisses.
“Besides,” he said nuzzling her neck, “You showed up here looking all gorgeous, completely unannounced. You can’t blame me, my one … and only true love!” he kissed the tip of her nose.
Abigail didn’t try to push him this time. In all honesty, she didn’t want to escape this.
“This… is … completely… inappropriate…” she tried to spell everything for him.
“Really?” he grinned, tilting his head and then bringing his lips closer to her ear, his warm breath sent shivers down her body, “I haven’t even started the inappropriate stuff… not yet…”
She squealed when he placed his hands against her ass and suddenly lifted her up in his arms. She didn’t take even a minute to think, and her legs automatically wrapped around his waist.
Her dress had ridden up, exposing a fair amount of her thigh flesh.
He pressed himself into her, pressing a kiss to her forehead, “I can’t stop thinking of you, Abigail Sinclair…”
She swatted his arm, “I swear if someone walks in right now…”
“Then they’ll see how much I love my girl,” He kissed her lips brutally. This one wasn’t his usual sweet one.
This one felt like he was marking his territory. A possessive one.
When he pulled back, they both were breathless, “You are impossible,” she said shaking her head. Her voice sounded husky due to the kiss.
“And?” he didn’t smile and stayed serious.
She huffed, pretending to roll her eyes, “And I’m completely in love with you.”
As always, the way she expressed her love for him did something to his heartstrings.
“Then prove it!” he singsong with a shrug.
“What?”
“Yeah. Prove it! Ride me!”
“What?” Her mouth was hung open. She was horrified by the unexpected suggestion.
“I mean to say…” he nuzzled her neck again, “Ride me, Abigail. Either here or at my place!”

Valerie yawned loudly and turned her head to look at Alaric, who was dozing off on a corner of the ceramic bench.
Either they used to eat or sleep or do shit.
Those were their only activities while living in the private jail of Dorian Maxwell.
He had brought them here because he couldn’t find Aniya Jakes and now wanted his money back from them. The couple had long ago spent everything and weren’t left with any dime.
Their dreams of leading a Richie-rich life had turned to ashes when Aniya ran away on her wedding day.
No one had ever thought of that. She was never this daring in life. God knew where she was hidden after running away.
They tried to look for her everywhere. Her friend’s apartment was also vacant. They had long ago left it.
Valerie didn’t know what to do. She never imagined this life for herself. Alaric wasn’t even worried about their future. He was satisfied with whatever crumbs he was getting while living here.
She gritted her teeth and snapped, “Get up!”
Alaric barely cracked an eye open, “For what?”
“For what?” she repeated, her voice raising, “Are you seriously asking me that? Can’t you see?” Tears welled up in her eyes, “Can’t you see? We are rotting in a hellhole here.”
With a sigh, he rolled onto his side, “What you want me to do, Valerie? Break down these walls? Dig a tunnel?”
“Alaric!”
“No. What else? Cry to Dorian Maxwell for mercy? That man doesn’t have an ounce of it.”
Before Valerie could retort another insult, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed in the dimly lit corridor. Dorian’s private jail was in the basement of his house where some other prisoners were also behind bars.
They both turned to the steel door just as it opened with a banging sound. He was standing there with an evil smile on his face.
Valerie and Alaric stood up warily. Today Valerie was in no mood for asking for his forgiveness. Because in return all she got were insults and some harsh words.
“I just received exciting news,” Dorian’s smirk deepened as he spoke, “One of my men has spotted Aniya Jakes in Sangua City.”
They both stiffened at the mention of Sangua.
“Oh. Don’t look so surprised. Did you two really think she could hide forever?” he tilted his head, watching their faces in amusement, “There is a businessman from Sangua who is ready to help me, trap her in a net. And my patience has run out. I just can’t wait to meet my bride.”
He then strolled to the door but paused just before stepping out, “Enjoy your little cage while you still can.”
When the door was locked behind him, Valerie held Alaric’s hand, “This is our last chance of survival. I hope he finds Aniya and frees us.”
Alaric squeezed her hand.
His only aim was to get out of this jail and leave this woman behind, who made his life hell ever since he kidnapped her niece.
Fu*ck with you and your little bitchy niece. After getting Dorian’s money, we are on our own, Valerie.
