Chapter 510: 510- Secret Favors
(Six Months later)
“Alaric. Someone is here,” Valerie got up in the cell and tried to hear the voices.
“Go to sleep!” Alaric said in a bored voice, “There is no one. Dorian already left three days back,” he reminded her, and went back to sleep.
But Valerie could hear voices coming from the corridor. By now, other cell inmates had also gathered near their gates.
They never tried to communicate with other residents, nor did they see each other’s faces.
This time, Valerie was right. There was someone indeed.
Usually, Dorian’s servants used to visit them to provide them with meals. The rest of the time, they didn’t even bother whether the prisoners were alive or dead.
This was an unusual time to visit this private jail.
Valerie felt a flicker of hope flashing through her body when she heard metal doors clanging against the walls.
Someone was unlocking the doors of those mini jails.
She could hear people’s voices talking to each other.
“Alaric. Someone is here to save us,” she told him in a whisper, trying to suppress her enthusiasm.
God knew, after how many days, she would see the sunlight.
Holding the bars of the metal gate, she felt Alaric standing beside her. He yawned loudly, and Valerie sniffed her nose in disgust. The foul smell of his mouth was unbearable.
They both could hear others, leaving happily with joy and relief.
“They are freeing Dorian’s prisoners, Alaric,” Valerie clasped her hands together, trying to hold back her tears.
Ah freedom. After such a long time.
The first thing she would do after getting out of here, was to find that bitchy daughter of Marissa and Rafael and punish her. Aniya was responsible for all the mess they were in.
In the dimly lit corridor, a man who looked like he was wearing a police uniform, opened the last gate in front of their cell.
Valerie was waiting impatiently to get out of this hellhole. She held Alaric’s hand, but he freed it without wasting a second.
As if he was asking her silently to keep her hand off him.
The uniformed man followed the young prisoner from the cell and headed to the exit.
“Hey! Hey! Stop!” Valerie banged her hands desperately against the metal door, “Open this one, too. We’re still here. Don’t forget us.”
The man looked over his shoulder and smirked. He didn’t even respond to her and walked away. Now there was no voice in the corridor.
Nothing was there except that deafening silence.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Alaric screamed when he realized what had just happened, “How can you leave us here, you fu*cker?”
He even smacked the door loudly. But there was no one to hear them. Everyone had moved out, leaving them behind.
What both of them didn’t know was that… from now on, they would be there on their own. The man who was responsible for providing them with food would never come back.
In the world’s eyes, Dorian Maxwell’s house would be a deserted place. And no one would ever bother to visit the place as it was sealed by law enforcement agencies.
They both had to survive on their own.

The man who was dressed in a police uniform, sent the prisoners by a van. He was walking to his car when the phone in his pocket started ringing.
“Yes, Sir,” The officer was on high alert when he realized who was calling, “Don’t worry, sir. Everything is sorted out. I’ve done exactly what you asked me to do,” He then chuckled and shook his head, “Don’t worry about that, sir. They are never going to come out of that prison. I assure you. They will remain hungry and thirsty, and their bodies will rot in that basement. Consider your job done, Mr. Rafael Sinclair.”

Dorian Maxwell entered the restaurant that was most popular in Sangua City and was owned by Marissa Sinclair.
The man who wanted to tell him about Aniya, had asked him to meet him there.
Dorian Maxwell couldn’t wait to meet his bride. After settling into his seat, he looked at the waiter who was placing wine on the table.
The restaurant had a quiet and elegant ambiance, and the odd thing was, he couldn’t see any other customers except him.
After a few minutes, he saw a man walking up to him with a stoic face. Dorian couldn’t see his eyes because the man didn’t take off his dark shades.
“Hello,” Dorian got up to shake hands, but the man didn’t even glance at his hand and took his seat without shaking it. He wasn’t in the mood for any pleasantries.
“I need a beef steak, medium rare, please,” The rude man told the waiter. Dorian didn’t order anything.
His tummy was already flipping with the thought of his wife coming back to him. His Aniya!
He leaned back, watching the rude man as he cut into his steak.
“I want my Aniya back,” Dorian said, resting his elbow on the table, “She belongs to me, Mister…” he trailed off, expecting the man to let him know his name.
But the man didn’t speak. He kept his focus on his food.
Dorian’s sharp eyes didn’t miss the clench of the man’s jaw. With a smirk, he picked up his wine glass and took a slow sip, “I can’t live without her. You understand, don’t you? That’s why you called me here.”
The man exhaled, settling his knife down with a clink. His expression was unreadable due to the dark shades, but his posture had stiffened.
Dorian shrugged, “I paid a fortune for my bride. You know that. Now I can’t let her walk away. I own her,” He was about to say more when the man banged the table with both his hands.
“Enough!” he roared and stood up.
His food was still there on the plate. A suited man came inside, who had a Bluetooth attached to his ear, “Any problem, Sir?”
The man in shades pointed to Dorian Maxwell, “He is the man we were looking for. Now it’s confirmed,”
Dorian was staring at the newcomer in confusion, “What is going on? Who are you two?”
The man with shades tilted his head a little, “That doesn’t matter, Dorian. The best thing is we found you, and now she doesn’t have to live in the fear that she might bump into you,” With that, the rude man turned on his heels and signaled the other man to do his job.
“B…but… Wh…what about…” Dorian stammered with a pale face. He was now regretting why he had taken the caller’s instructions too seriously and hadn’t brought his bodyguards.
The suited man placed his hand in his pants pocket and pulled out a gun.
“Is this some kind of a sick joke that you are…” he couldn’t even finish. The gun had a silencer, and nobody in the restaurant knew what had happened in this room.
Today the restaurant was kept closed because there was seemingly some repair work going on. The waiters and chefs were sent home after the food was served.
The suited man had targeted Dorian’s forehead, just as it was decided with his client.
Dorian had fallen face down on the floor, and now the man had to clean the mess, too.
Once he was done, he made the call to the rude man wearing shades, “The job is done, sir. The dead body will be discarded soon.”
There was silence on the other side, and then a voice came from the phone, “Well done. I knew you were the only one who could do it so effortlessly.”
A small smile appeared on the killer’s lips, “Thank you, Mr. George Donovan. Call me again if you need any such favors.”
George Donovan, who was sitting in the car, placed his phone in his pocket after that satisfied sigh escaped his lips.
“Now no one will ever come after my girl. All those who made her suffer are no more…”
