MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM - Chapter 131
Chapter 131: Musings
Musings
Within the very center of the hidden realm, there was a blizzard that was so harrowing, so cold and frigid that it was hard to even comprehend its scale, both in size and strength.
It was made up of countless miniature ice shards, each one as dense as a small moon, and yet they were moving thousands of kilometers a second. As such, they were entirely capable of completely deleting most things made of matter. And it wasn’t just material things either, as this blizzard could affect one’s soul and mind as well, as such, if one wasn’t strong enough to withstand it, they’d experience a very frigid form of existence erasure.
And the deeper one went into this blizzard, the worse it became, making it completely inhospitable. Moreover, the blizzard was capable of dampening one’s senses, abilities, and so on, making it utterly dreadful to encounter.
But if one somehow managed to get through this blizzard and reach the center, they would come face-to-face with a tower, which, with all things considered, wasn’t all that large, but it wouldn’t be surprising for it to possess some form of space compression.
The tower itself didn’t seem too extravagant, but it was well made, that’s for sure. Its surface was made of a white stone, with what seemed like ice shards dotting it. It looked very similar to a pagoda and was roughly 9 stories tall.
As opposed to the dreadful blizzard that surrounded it, the Pagoda and the area around it were calm and serene. In fact, the temperature, while still cold, was completely different compared to the rest of the hidden realm, as it was enough for even a normal person to survive as long as they were properly clothed.
Moreover, the snow there seemed special, as it glittered in the light, and upon closer inspection, one would discover that the snow wasn’t normal at all. Granted, none of the snow in this place was, but this one was both special and of incredible value, and those who were well-versed in determining the nature of rare treasures and resources would realise that just a single handful of this snow contained the effects of several rare and powerful ice-based artifacts. Vazar, in particular, would be shocked to see that the snow easily dwarfed the effects of the Cryo Core, which he was trying to gather as many of to aid in whatever it was that he was doing.
But why would this be? After all, the various clans all knew about the existence of this Hidden realm as it had opened before, and ventures had been made to its interior before as well. So why would they not know about the snow and Pagoda if they knew that the center was their ultimate destination? Well, the reality was that, despite there having been groups that ventured into the Realm before, none of them had managed to successfully cross the blizzard to get into the total center, so no one knew what truly resided there, only that it contained treasures far more rare than anything else within the hidden realm.
However, no one had been able to cross the blizzard in the past, so how would they do it now? Well, the clans didn’t have that distinction for no reason. They had been unprepared previously, but now that they knew what to expect, several measures had been put in place to allow for possible passage through the blizzard to get to the center and claim whatever treasures awaited them there.
However, whether or not they would be able to even with all their measures remained to be seen.

‘Finally done.’ Christopher had erected the final stronghold, which he simply decided to call Fortress 10, and the ones before it were numbered similarly.
There was quite a sizeable distance between each fortress to allow each of them ample space to explore and assimilate into his dimension. As for how the latter part worked, well, part of the Primordial Expanse’s passive growth was that it allowed other beings tied to the Dimension besides Christopher to assimilate parts of the world into it.
Still, Christopher could have just had them all drop in, take a part of this place with them, and bring them back in. But he was fully intent on having them experience proper challenges and grow. That’s why the pieces of claimed land wouldn’t enter the Primordial Expanse until after the conquest, which he was pretty sure was gonna last quite a while.
This way, the soldiers would be occupied for an extended period, allowing their experience, both personal and as a group, to rise.
And with all the measures he put in place to make sure that they wouldn’t die but also not grow complacent due to that fact, Christopher was certain that his soldiers would experience a period of rapid growth, shaping them more and more into his ideal force.
Moreover, while these soldiers from the Genesis Corps were currently on their conquest, more and more people within his dimension were still joining and embarking on the harsh training regimes his subordinates had put in.
This was good for him because when these soldiers that were on the field returned to the Dimension, they would serve as excellent seniors and instructors for the newer recruits, making the follow-up training significantly faster and easier.
‘All in all, everything is going pretty well.’ Christopher nodded to himself in approval.
That said, he wasn’t dumb.
The system told him that the effects of the Dimensional Veil only worked on him and his subordinates as long as they were inside his Dimension, and while he would probably be fine due to his mask, the same couldn’t be said for the other guys.
As such, the chances were that they were under the gaze of those entities again, especially the equilibrium guy, so Christopher had no doubts that things were about to get hectic soon. That’s why despite being happy at the way things were progressing, he was more than 90% sure that something bad was gonna happen.
He was calm, not stupid.
Christopher was proud of his current strength, but with how he kept getting exposed to entities that were far beyond his imagination, he found it difficult to get complacent. This is why, despite doing things that aided his desires and amusement, he was still making strides to increase his strength.
Sure, he was a very powerful Apex-ranked entity, his battle against the Drake reflected that fact. However, the Apex rank was still the bottom level for transcendent beings.
As such, in the grand scheme of things, he was still just a fish on the chopping board. A slightly fresher fish than most, but still just a fish.
So he held no illusions that his current stage would be enough for him to face whatever challenges came his way.
However, he also knew that he wouldn’t be able to do everything by himself, which is why he was putting so much effort into making his subordinates stronger. Both to help him and for their sake as well.
For instance, Christopher was pretty sure there was going to be a very powerful threat at the center of the hidden realm, and depending on how strong it was, if he ended up fighting it, he might be too occupied to assist his soldiers if something bad happened. Which was one of the reasons why he had placed the members of his cohort in charge of certain fortresses. But other than that, if he couldn’t help them, then they would have to rely on their personal strength and their strength as an army to deal with the threat.

A clear example of this was when he fought against the Void’s avatar. Everything had been resolved with relative ease on their part, but the future held more terrifying threats, and they would have to grow stronger in order to respond to these threats accordingly.
Christopher wanted capable subordinates, not leeches. Which sounded counterintuitive considering the large number of none combatants within his Dimension, but to him, everyone had their role. Families would contribute to the society by working and earning in return, children will be raised and choose their paths, and so on.
But in this case, he wanted soldiers that joined because they had a goal, not because they believed being a soldier was simple or anything of the sort. So he was keen on molding them into capable and dependable individuals he could be proud of.
Granted, among all of this, he wasn’t going to compromise on his personal enjoyment. He had seen many novels back on earth where characters did everything to fulfill their goals, but always avoided anything they enjoyed because it could serve as a distraction.
He wouldn’t judge them based on this though, as he knew that one needed to be disciplined and diligent when completing their goals. After all, if everyone only lived to enjoy themselves, there wouldn’t be much progress. But he was never a fan of shunning something he’d really like to do unless he had no choice.
That’s why, despite the big steps he was making to achieve his goals, he still did what he liked to an extent. That way, to him at least, his life wouldn’t feel like it had a singular purpose, and he could find ways to proceed in his journey even after his ultimate goal had been achieved.
To him, it was all about finding a balance. He’d do what he liked, and he’d also do what he needed to do.
‘Master, Fortress 1 is under attack.’ Aisha snapped Christopher out of his musings and he smiled slightly behind his mask.
‘Well, that was quick. Let’s observe how my dear disciple and his people are faring then.’
