MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM - Chapter 133
Chapter 133: Raya
The cacophony of terrifying explosions continued and the death toll of the rabbits kept climbing higher and higher. However, more and more rabbits managed to get passed the volley of artillery shells before getting taken out by snipers.
It started as a few, then a few tens, dozens, and then nearly a hundred, and the number kept climbing. And then the first rabbit reached the line of heavily armed soldiers.
Then something interesting happened. The moment the rabbit got close, one of the many enchantments of the fortress activated, and the rabbit suddenly turned extremely sluggish and disoriented. It swayed a few times before getting sliced in half by a soldier.
In the same way, there was an enchantment set to buff the soldiers, there was another enchantment set to weaken enemies that got too close to the wall.
Needless to say, Christopher had gone crazy when he made each of these fortresses. Each one was armed to the teeth with high-level enchantments. And added to the fact that the Mana was Void-attributed, it made it harder to resist the effects of whatever enchantment was activated if it was being used against you.
It is also for that reason that the artillery cannons, snipers, and virtually everything the soldiers of the Genesis Corps used were so deadly and effective that the Void-Forged Mana was incredibly difficult to defend against as it bypassed conventional resistances. So a normal Mana-based shield would break far easier unless it somehow had some Void resistance. And even then the harmony between the creation and oblivion energy caused the effectiveness of the two to multiply significantly, so even if one had Void resistance, they’d still shatter under the weight of the combined force of the two opposing natures.
Still, gradually, more and more rabbits were beginning to break past the deathstorm of artillery shells and get closer to the ground soldiers. But for now, he did not attempt to change anything as everything was still under control. So there was no need to make any significant changes.
As such, this went on for quite a while, and by now, the number of rabbits reaching the group of soldiers was pretty significant. However, they didn’t get far before they were sliced apart by one attack or the other.
Something cool to note was that whenever a rabbit fell, a person who specialized in fire magic would burn their corpses. This was to prevent bodies from piling up and impeding the movements of the soldiers.
At some point, a dragon in its human form, Tristan, came to stay near Raya and Titus and tilted his head.
“The big things are approaching now.” He said casually and Titus peered forward. Indeed, through the snow-tinged air, the hazy figures of large creatures could be seen walking among the tide of rabbits. And a moment later, their unrestrained Auras started to be felt, and they were overbearing.
Still, Titus wasn’t perturbed and simply looked on as the large figures got close enough to be made out. Unsurprisingly, they were large rabbits.
These rabbits completely dwarfed their smaller brethren, as they were several stories tall, and they all had bulging muscles that made up their bodies. Their blood-red eyes reflected hunger and madness, and they had four large horns on their heads instead of just one.
Several artillery shells hit some of them, but other than slowing them down and causing some flesh wounds, the damage was minimal.
‘Seems like the elite unit will need to be deployed soo-‘ Titus couldn’t finish his train of thought before he was interrupted by a sharp sound that was similar to the sound made by a laser cleaner, but many times louder.
And almost faster than he could react, the head of one of the rabbits was reduced to mist. It was so fast and so forceful that there was no excess brain matter, skull fragments, or anything similar. It was simply a crimson mist now.
And it didn’t stop there either. The projectile kept moving and got lower and lower until it eventually reached low enough to start hitting the smaller rabbits and carve out a bloody path in the tide, which was soon filled in, but the damage was still evident for a moment.
Titus turned his head towards where the projectile had come from with wide eyes and saw one of the railguns reloading with the aid of the person meant to handle it.
A moment later, another railgun fired with the same sound as the last one, and the head of another giant rabbit was reduced to mist.
‘Awesome.’ Titus couldn’t help but feel a bit of awe at the power the weapons exhibited. He never doubted how deadly they were, but seeing the destruction firsthand couldn’t compare to simply hearing about it.
He watched them fire a few more times before returning his attention to the battlefield and sighed.
Even with everything, the rabbits were still getting through and reaching the melee soldiers. That said, they weren’t very effective, and many of them were injured and got sniped before they could do anything. Moreover, they got debuffed the moment they got too close to the walls and were easy to take out.
Still, their numbers were going to start being a problem. Though Titus wasn’t worried. He had fate in his soldiers and their ability to handle the situation.
“There’s a big one this time,” Tristan said calmly. Though this time, they didn’t even require him to tell them as they could easily see the massive rabbit that dwarfed the rabbits at its feet. Both the tiny ones and the building-sized ones. This one was as big as a small mountain, and the muscles on its body signified that it could dish out many times that damage.
It had four red eyes instead of two, and five menacing horns on its head pulsed powerfully. The moment it appeared, the railguns started charging up simultaneously, the sound this time being more resonant and powerful as it was clear the ones handling them intended to turn this rabbit into a sieve.
However, Raya suddenly jumped off the wall, and Titus was surprised, but he quickly figured out what she wanted to do and sent a mental command to the railgun controllers to tone it down and to keep focusing on the smaller, but still large rabbits.
Meanwhile, Raya took only a few moments to reach the massive rabbit, and due to its powerful aura and large size, many of the smaller rabbits had given it a wide berth to avoid being crushed, both by its feet and its Aura.
However, Raya strode into its path calmly, undeterred by its powerful existence.
The massive rabbit slowed down and stared at the small being in front of it. It was so small that most of its underlings were bigger than it. But even with that, the Aura it gave off was powerful…
Dangerous…

A low growl left its mouth, and far faster than most could see, the Rabbit moved, and in what seemed to be an instant, its powerful hind legs were moving towards Raya with Unparalleled speed and force.
They moved so quickly that the friction between them and the air overcame the biting Cold of the hidden realm and generated enough heat to utterly raze down a city.
It was obvious that anyone who got hit by such an attack would be devastating in an instant. But what could anyone do? It was simply too fast…
And yet, Raya watched the two muscular feet approaching her calmly as she slowly drew her Katana. Well, it only seemed slow, but it was still faster than the descending feet of the rabbit.
Titus who could trace this speed sighed.
‘If anyone wants to join lady Kim’s sect, they need to have an extremely high speed. Not only is Raya fast, she also has the lightning attribute. Those two facts alone…’
There was a flash, and then blood poured like a tide as countless lashes appeared on the legs of the rabbit, while Raya was already behind it, lightning crackling om her sword and horns.
‘…are enough to give her the distinction of an ‘asset’.’ Titus finished his line of thought as the rabbit roared from the pain of its wounds.
It turned towards Raya with a wrathful look on its face. It was meant to be unbelievably fast, how hadn’t it been able to do-
“You’re pretty slow.” A voice reached it and its eyes widened. Raya calmly hopped off its shoulder and it gritted its teeth before roaring and pulling that limb back to deliver a devastating blow.
But before it could, a red line suddenly appeared on its shoulder, and its limb fell off, hitting the ground with enough force to cause an earthquake.
The rabbit shrieked in agony as blood sprayed like a giant waterfall.
Raya who watched this scene said nothing. Instead, she lowered her body and used one hand to hold her sheath and her other hand to hold the hilt of her sword.
“Hmph!” Electricity erupted from her body and created a shockwave as her eyes turned electric blue and lightning crackled all over her body, then she let out a misty breath and the muscles in her legs tensed.
“Lightning god style, First Form: Sporadic Blitz.” She finished her chant, and moved.
It was so fast that it looked like she had teleported, but she was somehow already behind the giant rabbit, and a moment later, a loud thunderclap rebounded throughout the battlefield. Drowning out all other noises for a brief moment.
Raya straightened and calmly placed her sword at her sheath and sheathed it, and the instant it was fully sheathed, the frozen rabbit was assaulted by an insatiable tide of powerful lightning slashes that ravaged its entire body, each one releasing a powerful thunderclap.
In less that a second, the rabbit had been sliced to pieces, pieces that turned to ashes a moment later.
“Fuu~” Raya let out another misty breath before calmly returning to the wall under the amazed gazes of the soldiers.
