MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM - Chapter 58
Chapter 58: Felicia
Felicia
“There’s no end to them.” Felicia said while exhaling and shook the blood off her Rapier. Her pink eye glowing in the darkness.
Around her, corpses of Voidwalkers were strewn around on the floor. They looked mostly untouched, but if one looked closer, they’d see small punctures where their vital spots were from which blood spilled. Each of them had been killed in a single, precise strike.
Her eyes had lost their faint playfulness and were now completely cold, her figure taught and ready to react to any sort of sneak attack. Not that one would be able to catch her anyway.
She started to move in a certain direction. Trusting her memory as where she was moving was where she had last seen her siblings.
Despite the situation though, Felicia was utterly calm and unperturbed.
‘They should have started fighting by now.’ She thought as she moved. And amazingly, she was referring to her brother Titus and Richard’s battle.
Among her siblings, Felicia could be considered to be one of the most annoying to fight for a simple reason. Her eye.
Most people assumed that her eye allowed her to see things better and increased her perception and intuition, which was why no one doubted her when she said Christopher hadn’t been lying when he had been questioned by her family. And in truth, they’d be correct as that was indeed an ability she possessed. But that was only part of it.
They had named the eye itself the Luminary Eye and its abilities went far beyond simply seeing through things.
One of its miraculous abilities was that Felicia could automatically gain information about anything she looked at. It wasn’t omnipotent since it depended a lot on her own strength, but the fact was that she could understand how something work simply by looking at it. If she stared at a person, she’d know their name, intentions, race, and so on.
And it went even further than that as if she stared at say, a rock, she’d know how old the rock was as well as its atomic structure, it’s exact size and weight and more.
It was a passive ability, so that meant that with every passing second, massive amounts of information were getting shoved into her brain.
A normal person would have their minds fried with such an ability simply due to the sheer influx of energy. However Felicia could handle it for two reasons.
One, the ability seemed to know that it would place a massive burden on the user, so in addition to the passive information she kept getting, her mind was about as sharp as a very high end Super Computer and could process large amounts of information with each passing moment. She could complete incredibly complex calculations on the fly and use information she’d gained to make very accurate predictions on things.
As for the second thing, well, she could just turn it off.
It was because of her eye that she was able to deduce a few things.
She didn’t know the Voidwalkers were going to attack. Actually that’s a lie, she did, she simply didn’t know when. Still she prepared herself well enough but couldn’t exactly deduce how they would do so. And she certainly didn’t know they would possess items that seemed to be very much against the concept of Mana itself.
So the attack was still worse than she’d expected. However she could still make certain predictions based on what was going on and… she didn’t like any of them.
As she moved, she constructed a 3D layout of the entire castle in her mind, taking the shortest route possible to reach her destination.
‘It’s pretty obvious they want the Legend Sword Shard, so they would have sent a sizeable force to attack Curtis. Curtis should be with Titus since he was in that part of the castle when the attack started. How could they have known that Curtis held the Legend Sword Shard though? That information is tightly guarded between members of our family. That would mean the only possible option would be Richard since he’s been acting a bit strange lately.
‘Also he’d be able to get to them easily because if I’m not wrong they should be coming to me or Han, so they’d be moving in this direction, Richard walked past me earlier so they’d find him on their way here. He’d possibly play the part of being hurt and the two would carry him along
‘In that case he’s most likely the traitor that shifted the routes of the Empyrean Guards to let the Voidwalkers in. Since Curtis is their target they will have prepared certain measures to make sure they can kill him swiftly or at least incapacitate him, that’s why I’m mostly dealing with small fry and Han as well. But Curtis won’t go down so easily. Richard probably met up with him and Titus and made them drop their guards, he’ll probably be the one to take down Curtis.’ Felicia continued to think calmly.
‘Titus is a lot stronger now due to his training with Christopher, Richard would for sure attack from behind and with the items the Voidwalkers have shown, the attack won’t have an energy signature so Curtis won’t be able to sense it. But knowing him, he’d probably have Titus at his back as well, so it’s likely that Titus would have noticed the sneak attack and prevented Curtis from at the very least dying. But he’d still be injured most likely since Richard isn’t weak either and defending a sneak attack from him takes a lot of skill. Titus should be fighting him now. Based on the Mana signatures, it should be ending soon.’ Felicia had this entire thought in less than half a second.
Another ability granted by her eye was that she gained an incredible level of energy Perception. Her use of Mana was so precise that calling her the most adept in its use in the Empire was in no way an exaggeration as she could perceive even the smallest bits of Mana being used.
It was so good that even the Emperor himself had claimed that she had him beat in that department.
Because of this, Felicia’s magic control was nothing short of astounding and even at her rank, the amount of people that could go toe to toe with her could be counted on one hand. Three of those slots were taken by Curtis, Han and her Father.
As she was moving, Felicia suddenly slowed down ever so slightly. It seemed so minute that most wouldn’t have noticed it. But she had indeed slowed down a small bit, and when she did, about the fraction of a second later, something flashed past her front and sliced through the hall.
Then, Felicia’s Rapier moved with such speed that it left several after images. And a moment later, several invisible threads were cut apart and fell harmlessly to the floor.
The without warning, her speed multiplied by several times and she flashed forward before returning to her previous pace, and a moment later, several dark cloaked figures appeared from thin air and fell to the ground, blood seeping through small yet lethal wounds on their bodies.

Felicia didn’t spare them a second glance and continued to move. Despite everything, she had a bad feeling in her heart.
‘If nothing else, these guys are incredibly cunning. They most likely know about my skill from Richard as well as Han’s abilities. They know that there’s a high chance that we’ll reach them before they can take the Shard from Curtis. So there’s a very high chance that they have something very insidious that’s capable of dealing with all of us together. One that’s capable of making them so confident.’ She mused and turned another corner.
The instant she did, her footwork suddenly changed and she almost seemed to vanish and reappear like a phantom as several ranged attacks that were waiting for her were avoided.
The attackers that had been stationed To intercept her prepared to fight. But they didn’t even get the chance as their bodies suddenly froze, and Felicia went past all of them, and a moment later, their bodies dropped, each of them dead.
‘So what should I do? It’s clearly a trap. Can we handle it? The fact that they must have incapacitated Curtis means they have means to take us out. However that’s more vague since they must have relied on sneaky methods and not a direct method. With this knowledge, we’d know to be on guard against any sneak attacks. But they must know this as well. So whatever they have as a trap must be potent enough to make them confident in a direct confrontation. But what could be? An item? A summon?
‘The former would be more likely since that’s what they’ve been relying on so far. But the latter isn’t so unlikely to put it out of the equation completely. Still having an idea on what the thing could be and being able to counter it are two completely different things. I want to say that three purple Ranked individuals would be more than enough, but they knew how strong we are and still attacked. It’s hard to say.’ She resisted the urge to click her tongue as she killed another group of Voidwalkers without slowing down.
