MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM - Chapter 61
Chapter 61: Void Reaver
Void Reaver
‘I knew it.’ Felicia narrowed her eyes.
Despite pouring all her strength into her arm, her Rapier did not advance another inch and failed to pierce The Voidwalker’s neck.
Protecting him was the same darkbarrier as before, but this one seemed to have an even deeper sense of that emptiness that the others possessed. When she struck, it was as if she’d hit a barrier, but instead, it was as though there was a profound emptiness between her Rapier and his neck, so despite the fact her Rapier seemed to have stopped moving, Felicia felt as though her Rapier had fallen into an abyss and was still moving forward with nothing in sight.
Without hesitation, she jumped backwards, but the Voidwalker made no attempt to follow or counter and simply stared at her.
“That was close.” He mumbled.
“No luck?” Han asked his sister and she shook his head.
“Maybe if I had more time, but something tells me he won’t allow that to happen.” Hearing this, the Voidwalker laughed.
“Exactly right.” The Voidwalker chuckled and brought out a black cube. Or, that’s what it looked like anyway.
He seemed to be holding it, but it just looked… wrong. It was as though the light simply didn’t reach that spot, that’s why one could kind of make out its shape as a cube. But it didn’t seem to be there at the same time. Like how in a video game an item would be blacked out if it was locked.
The cube gave off no Aura, no incredible might or anything like that. Quite frankly, it didn’t even seem to be there, like a figment of one’s imagination.
And yet when Felicia, Han, and Curtis saw it, they all had a very bad feeling.
“Can we not just run?” Han asked and Felicia glanced at him.
“You know damn well that’s not possible.” She replied and Han cursed. She was right.
If whatever it was the Voidwalker was about to do was able to make them feel on guard like this, then chances are that running wouldn’t be possible, especially when Curtis was unable to fight and Titus was unconscious which would slow them down.
The Voidwalker calmly raised his hand over the “cube” and used his magic to cut himself causing blood to drip on it.
The moment his blood came into contact with the cube, something strange happened.
Pretty much instantly, a massive rift that carried with it the same feeling of emptiness appeared on the ceiling. There was no sound that indicated its appearance, and the group was fairly sure they wouldn’t have noticed it if they hadn’t been looking in that direction.
Felicia instantly focused her attention on the rift, her eye working overtime as she captured every single detail she could and waited with Han.
Curtis had already carried Titus further away and activated an artifact Han had given him that encased himself and his brother inside a powerful barrier.
“I doubt you guys will survive this, but I’ll give a small introduction regardless.” The Voidwalker chuckled and a moment later, a deep bellow escaped the rift.
The sound seemed to travel through the very bones and caused everyone to shudder. There was no Aura again, but their unease grew with every passing moment.
“I present to you, a creature with only a single goal in mind.” The Voidwalker rose up a single finger, and even behind his mask, it was clear he was smiling.
“The insatiable urge to erase all of reality, or what it can of it anyway. Your Mana is gonna be useless. Well, I suppose there’s no need to say so much.” He chuckled and a dark tentacle emerged from the rift.
It had the same formlessness as the rift and the cube and had no presence to it. But it seemed even more profound this time. If before the emptiness gave someone the feeling that nothing was there, this time, the emptiness seemed to suck everything in, like a black hole.
“Anyway, say hello to the Void Reaver.” As he said this, the Voidwalker stepped back and the creature fully emerged from the rift that closed soundless a moment later.
It was hard to make out its shape. But that’s because it had no shape. It looked like a formless mass of tentacles and emptiness, constantly shifting with no fixed form.
A low growl that made one’s teeth hurt left its form and its tentacles writhed. It had no eyes or head so it was hard to tell where it was looking, but Felicia had never let her guard down and she kept staring at it before suddenly shouting.
“Move!” She and Han wasted no time and immediately dashed to the sides, and a moment later, one of the formless tentacles zipped through the air at impossible speed. And left in its wake was space that had gotten completely shredded revealing the vast darkness beyond.
Its Tentacle struck where the two of them were a moment after they moved and passed the ground without resistance. If one didn’t know any better, they’d say its tentacle had phased through the ground. However, when it retracted its tentacle, it was revealed that there was a perfectly smooth hole in the ground, meaning that the special material used to construct the castle was simply not enough to endure the utter nothingness the creature embodied.

This alone went to show just how terrifying the creature was, but it wasn’t done as it roared and its huge body moved forward, and large amounts of tentacles surged forward towards the duo.
Han immediately felt cold. He was sure that even if he took on the attributes of a shield, he’d get deleted if any of those tentacles hit him.
But they were simply so many. And they moved too fast. He’d be able to dodge the first few, but what about the ones after that, and after that?
“Han! Mirror me!” He was suddenly jolted out of his thoughts and saw his sister in the corner of his eye. Even now she seemed completely calm. Calmer than him anyway.
Her pink eye was wide open as large amounts of information was fed into her brain. And he finally registered her order. Mirror her movements.
He suddenly felt the urge to laugh. When they were kids and Titus was still a baby, their father had made them train in such a way that they could almost perfectly Mirror each other’s movements. Almost because they each had a separate fighting style. But Han had an easier time doing it because of his physique and was able to take on the attributes of a weapon.
As such, he kept Felicia within his line of sight and took on the attribute of a Rapier. Immediately, his figure seemed to undergo a change. He looked the same, but the air around him was different.
He seemed… sharper, like he could pierce through anything with his body alone. And he truly could… well, almost anything.
At this point, the tentacles finally arrived and Han and Felicia moved.
Multitudes of information was fed into the girl’s brain. The speed of the tentacles, the force they carried, their angles, their different sizes, and how quickly they retracted and came back.
All of this was fed into her brain which worked to come up with an appropriate path and way to avoid them in an instant.
The figures of the two blurred as they began to weave and dodge each tentacle with stunning precision, their bodies twisting and bending in ways that would make a normal person cringe. Sometimes they dodged a tentacle with decent space, other times they dodged with mere inches to spare. But the fact was that they were managing to move unscathed.
And slowly, they were moving towards the main body of the Void Reaver.
To an outsider, all they would be able to see would be countless large tentacles moving haphazardly and utterly destroying everything around them, and vaguely make out two blurs somehow avoiding each of these tentacles.
The hall was taking an absolute beating as the tentacles of the Void Reaver flew through stone and glass like a sword cutting through air as there was no resistance. And it was a miracle how that portion of the castle hadn’t yet collapsed.
Still, progress was slow, and that’s when Felicia made a decision.
“Han! Get Close!” She said and her brother immediately made his way towards her, and after several close calls, he managed to reach her.
She gave him a look and he seemed to understand immediately. With a thought, his magic was activated, and a moment later, his body and hers became much lighter as their mass reduced significantly.
And that wasn’t all as Felicia also used her magic, and a moment later, several clones of herself and Han appeared. But it was difficult to distinguish them from the originals as they perfectly mimicked their Auras and presence.
For those that don’t know, Felicia possessed Illusion magic, which was already quite devious, but what made her illusions even more terrifying was the fact that, with her eye which gave her astounding insight on the world, the illusions she could create were so realistic that differentiating them from reality was incredibly difficult.
That’s how she got her title the Insightful Deceiver, because her Illusions were simply harrowing to combat against, and her eye made her even more difficult to fight.
Still even with all that, it was taking all she had to get herself and her brother closer to the main mass of the Void Reaver.
The moment they appeared, the clones immediately started to move forward as well while dodging the tentacles. And with the now larger number of opponents, the creature had to split its attention between each of them, causing the pressure the real Han and Felicia faced to lessen significantly and their progress to increase.
As for why Felicia was so keen on getting closer despite knowing their magic would probably have no effect on the creature, she noticed another thing while she observed it.
The thing had many more tentacles. There were hundreds swarming them, yes, but there were at least twice that amount in its center. Yet they didn’t try to attack. Instead, they simply writhed together, almost as if they were protecting something.
And seeing as how the thing’s movements became more frantic the closer they got, she was fairly certain her deduction was correct.
If there was one thing that eased the burden of reading so much information, it was that the creature’s movements weren’t exactly precise or well thought out. As such, it was fairly predictable and thus, reduced the risk of her burning herself out too quickly.
Still with how fast they were moving, Felicia knew her brain would eventually reach its limit and burn out. But she was far away from that point and had time to spare.
So eventually, she got close with her brother, and changed the way she moved.
That’s because after getting too close, the tentacles that had been reluctant to join the fight suddenly sprang forth with terrible speed towards her and her brother.
She wanted to retreat a small bit, but then Han suddenly moved and increased the mass of the air around the Tentacles to slow them down. The results were negligible at best, but they were just enough for them to avoid the swarm without being pushed back.
However another issue had been presented, the tentacles could now fully surround them and leave no openings. As such, they were about to get drowned.
But the two of them still kept their cool.
That’s because while the situation was precarious, the Void Reaver had also revealed what it had been protecting so adamantly.
In its center, a formless core could be seen.
