MY 10,000× DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM - Chapter 76
Chapter 76: Weaver II
Weaver II
Since Christopher had Runic Insight, he was able to see the runes for the fate threads.
However, he never noticed them before because they were both incredibly few and also very small.
In fact, the only reason he knew they existed at all was because of Felicia.
But now that he knew what they looked like and how to find them, getting them under his control was much easier.
But even then, manipulating fate runes was considerably more difficult that manipulating other runes.
Not only did they require more Mana to be moved, but also twice the effort to be affected. That’s why Christopher was currently within the Haven of the Enlightened. Specifically, he was on top of a building which apparently served the purpose of helping people create better techniques Or solve difficult problems and enhanced one’s mind the most out of any building in the city.
And the higher floor one entered, the better the effect. And so Christopher was currently on the tip floor which had an open roof with a faint golden dome above it. (Then is it really an open roof floor?)
With the effects on His mind, he found it far easier to manipulate the Fate runes. But even then, it wasn’t perfect, which is why he got the help of Norn.
Her Inquisitive ability made seeing the runes far easier. But as mentioned previously, there was only so much moving the threads around could as again, the stronger someone was or the bigger an event, the more inevitable that thing was.
However, that’s where Christopher’s Runic Insight and Manipulation came into play.
Again, if runes are the building blocks for everything that makes up reality, then Mana is their fuel, that means that the more Mana puts into a rune, and the higher the quality, the more potent that rune becomes, making it more effective.
And since Christopher could control these runes, and had A horrifying pool of Mana too pure for this world. Couldn’t he simply enrich the Fate runes which would in turn strengthen the Fate threads, and as such, increase the chances of whatever result wanted to come to be?
The answer was yes.
And that’s exactly what Christopher had been doing.
He sent his subordinates to the Various Kingdoms that were to endure an attack from the Void creature swarms, and that was where his plans would start.
Something he realised while playing with the strings of fate was that he couldn’t blatantly change something to achieve a certain result.
For example, if someone was set to die, Christopher couldn’t simply set the threads to just avoid their death. No, the only way to do that would be to break the threads, and since every single thread was interconnected in some way, simply breaking a thread would lead to other unravelling and cause A disastrous result which, more often than not, would hurt the one you were trying to save.
So instead, Christopher had to be subtle with how he utilised the threads.
And then, you could ask. If he can’t break them, then how can he change fate in his favour? The answer was simple.
Reweaving.
As it turned out, it was easier to unraveling the threads and then reweave them to achieve a certain result than to simply break them and try to fix the resulting unraveling.
That’s Because it was much more controlled. And if one knew what they were doing, they could swiftly unravel certain threads and change their weaving to achieve a different result.
However, that too, couldn’t be too drastic of a change. As unraveling too much at once could cause unwanted and disastrous consequences. Hence, one had to be subtle, gradually changing the weaves to meet their wants and desires.
That’s what Christopher was doing.
To a normal person, it would look like his hands were dancing in the air, but if one could see the tapestry of fate like him, they’d see that he was plucking connection points, reading them, unraveling them and then creating new weavings.
The truth was that he didn’t really need to physically use his hands to weave. But it felt more natural, so he just rolled with it.
Even then, what he was doing was by no means a simple feat.
First of all, the sheer amount of information he was processing with how fast he was reading the threads was simply insane and a normal person would have had their brains fried in just moments. Yet he was reading dozens of these and more with each second that passed.
In fact, the fact that he was able to even see the threads of Fate was an unprecedented achievement. Most likely, the only other person that could do such a thing would be Aisha, but she sure didn’t know how to weave them.

Now another question. What scenario is Christopher hoping to bring to fruition?
It was quite simple.
Christopher was going to get the Voidwalkers into a very elaborate trap.
However, for that to happen, he had to make some moves to nudge things in the right direction. And that began with his subordinates.
They’d be the ones to set everything in motion. The fateful clash between them and the army of Void Creatures would lead to a few things happening in quick succession.
First of all, one thing Christopher noticed is that among the masses of Void Creatures, there were Voidwalkers who he was certain served the purpose of leading the creature’s to their respective targets.
When the clash happened, his subordinates were to kill all the Void Creatures and a bunch of the Voidwalkers, but leave some of them alive in a very convincing way.
Now most would think it was to simply follow them back to wherever their base was. But the Voidwalkers were, among many things, extremely cautious.
Not to mention, he had already read fate and knew that the Voidwalkers would scatter and hide in various places and wait to receive orders. That would take too long for what he wanted to do.
So instead, what would happen is that after the Voidwalkers fled from their battlefields, something interesting would happen.
Christopher noticed that, among the groups of Voidwalkers controlling each swarm of Void Creatures, each was set to retreat to a specific kingdom depending on where they could blend in. So human would go to the Empire and so on.
So, what if while they were moving to the Empire, a powerful group of humans happened to move in their direction after Belladonna had dealt with the Void Creatures because they were chasing the Voidwalkers that escaped from that battlefield. And the two Voidwalkers would realise that fleeing in those directions wouldn’t work since they’d be intercepted. And as such, they have no choice but to retreat to their original base?
It was the perfect plan. But this begged the question.
Christopher had spied on the Eminence before, meaning he already knew where their main base was. So what exactly was he going through the stress of weaving fate to subtly shift the future in his favour to achieve when he could just go to the base himself and nuke it?
Well, among many things, Christopher was curious. And that curiosity led him to think about a lot of things.
And in this case, it was the Void.
What was the Void exactly? Well, it was a state of inexistence. The counter to reality and all of Creation.
Or was it?
People liked to use the word ‘counter’ simply because of how destructive the Void was. But in reality, it wasn’t countering anything.
The Void and Creation have opposite natures. However, that didn’t mean one had more power over the other. And that also didn’t mean that one deserved to have more presence than the other.
Just like light and darkness, life and death. The Void and Creation were two sides of the same coin. They opposed each other, but at the same time, they needed each other to exist.
How could something be Void if there wasn’t anything to be turned Void in the first place? And how could Creation come to be if there was nowhere for Creation to come to be in the first place?
Without, there could be no Void. And without the Void, there could be no creation. They simply needed each other to exist.
And Christopher, Christopher had an idea due to that concept.
His Dimension, due to its mana purity, allowed him to endure and counter any Void based attack. At least, anyone he’d endured up until now.
As such, if he let some Void Energy into his Dimension, wouldn’t that mean the Mana inside could prevent it from running rampant and tame it. And once settled, the two energies could reach an equilibrium and balanced state?
If that happened, what would happen to his Dimension? It was a fantastical idea and Christopher wanted to implement it.
So indeed, Christopher was acting as the ultimate manipulator, acting from behind the scenes to achieve his goal.
He didn’t want to utterly destroy the Voidwalkers immediately because they were the ultimate source of Void energy, and their base would be rich with it. That’s where he would implement his plan.
